MW600 first hang until battery ends within 7 days

I have purchased a new MW600 wireless head phone from Amazon UK (I am in London) and it has hanged first time within 7 days of working. It was hangcompletely and it was showing full battery icon and buletooth icon only. I can not restart it any way by pressing all switch from different ways but nothing happened. Now after 2days it has switch off by ending battery charge and have recharged a bit and now it is working perfectly. The seller was about to change the item.
Question is what you suggest, shall I change it or shall I wait to see more?

The headset should of course not hang like this. If it's working now I see no need in having it exchanged but if your dealer is offering you this there's no reason not to accept it since there obviously was something wrong with it for a while.
There is a way to reset the headset (described at page 15 in this user guide: http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/mw600/userguide_EN_MW600_1236-6504.1.pdf) but it requires the headset to be turned off.

Yeah. Double tap the home button and the screen will shift upwards to show all your running apps. Just press and hold one until they start 'wiggling' then press the 'no entry' like sign that appears in the top left corner of the apps. That'll close them and release the memory and resources they're taking up

Hp 15 no31se battery draining within two days while off

i have just bought two hp 15 no31 se notebooks for use at work but i have noticed that the batterys on one of them goes completely flat within two days but how can this happen while it is switched off? so i phoned a very well known uk distributor for advise and was told it seems very strange this happens and that the battery should be checked as it it is more likly it needs a new one but they cant rule out its the notebook without checking it but this will cost me so decided to call hp uk as its still under 2 months old i spoke to a man named dean who told me this is normal and they dont class it as broken i told him i have more then one and it is not happening with the others he just repeated his first stament and said they wont honour the warrenty or even check it i have used hp for many years and i cant belive how they treat there customers as he was very rude and basicly called me a lier i did tell them the phone call was recorded so i have decided to take legal action against hp i will also be putting the calls and notebook to trading standerds for them to investigate my claims so my advise to all is dont go for hp

This issue is a conflict with Parallels and 10.6.8. Update Parallels with the fix and everything should return to normal.

Toshiba WT310 in hibernation mode: battery discharges within few days

As the title says if fully charged and left in hibernation mode the battery discharges within a few days.
I thought it might have been due to "connected mode" but it isn't supported anyway.
Any ideas?

Well unsurprisingly not as easy as that after all.
I rang the number gave them the ID# for my support call, let him read through, explained again what I'd done to try and resolve. Asked him what we do next.
"I'll just go and ask my colleague"
So according to his colleague losing 10% power overnight when switched off is apparently as expected for a laptop/tablet.
I begged to differ and pointed out that according to the manual the battery should last 70 days when the Tablet is shutdown. Bit of a difference between 10 weeks and just over 1 week I said.
We then had to find that page in the manual to make sure I wasn't lying, I wasn't.
Still didn't mean there was a problem apparently, so I send it back and it's NFF I get charged 60+
So I said OK you send in writing that the manual is inaccurate and amend the manual and I'll accept that.
Can't do that...
Well then what next?
Escalated to the next level of support! Though I did have to assure them I was switching it off and not putting it into sleep by accident (the flashing light is the give away there) and that whilst I was waiting I would test it using "shutdown /p".

him "no /p!" didn't bother explaining it worked either way.
By the way I manage an IT Support Dept we do Hardware, Software and Network support, 10% power drain in 24 hours when shut down for a Laptop is not an expected thing. Not unless the battery is stuffed rather than FAIR as mine apparently is.

Battery dead within 10 days of use. Lenovo G580 Laptop

Recently I bought a new Lenovo G580 Laptop in the Emirates and after using it for 10 days, the battery got dead. I never used the laptop while it was on the charging mode and took complete care as it is brand new. Also used to charge it once in a couple of days. It is a disappointed since its a brand new machine. Anyone also facing this problem?

Try removing the AC and battery then hold power button for 3 seconds, repeat this 3 times then put the AC and battery back and see if it helps.
Also try leaving the AC on and charge the laptop for the night. If problem persist then contact support to get the hardware checked.

Spawned java app hangs until first is killed

I am spawning a new process using

The new process is a 2nd JVM called with the following command line:

"my.jar" contains a manifest.mf with a Main-Class and Class-Path entries. my.jar can be executed with no problems by running that command outside of my application.
The process is spawned without an Exception being thrown. The spawned process outputs some of my initial logging statements, but then hangs until the first app is killed, no matter how long I wait.
can anyone tell me why?

Since I made the change to cmd /c start, it is now
executing properly. The second app appears when it
should and functions properly without hanging. (An
oddity is, I never see a console window with cmd /c or
cmd /k. )That's probably because you are using javaw.exe, not java.exe. Citing the documentation, "The javaw command is identical to java, except that with javaw there is no associated console window. Use javaw when you don't want a command prompt window to appear." If your app has a problem, you would apparently benefit if it had a chance to display something about itself - so try to use 'java' instead of javaw.

I am working on an ant script to pull all the class
files from the dependenices into my jar. This way I
can eliminate the class-path parameter from the
manifest.mf. Apparently, this application has runI think to have a class path (which changes from machine to machine) in the JAR file manifest (which is not supposed to change) is a bad idea. Why don't you just launch your second JVM with the "-classpath" parameter?

The question remains, when I execute javaw.exe in my
execute(), why would it wait for app #1 to exit before
continuing with app #2?As I said, try java instead of javaw to see if it reports anything. Also, you may try to give not a single string to your Runtime.exec() method, but an array of Strings, each containing and individual "word" from your command string. For me at least the latter method always worked.

Audio in a sequence falls silent right until the end of the sequence

Hmmm, ok, maybe I am completely clueless.... Anyway: I am making a video with 3 dv-clips that I imported previously. When I drag the clips from the browser into the timeline and render them, everything is ok and plays well. Then, after a little editing, i.e. cutting the sequences into smaller pieces, but leaving everything in the same sequence in the timeline, at some point parts from a sequence right to the end of it, fall silent. I can still see the audio in the viewer, but the audio meter itself shows zero audio and I can't hear anything anymore over the speakers. This goes right to the end of the sequence, the next sequence again starts with sound but also falls silent after a while, right until its end. Only the last sequence retains its sound right to the end. The silence starts at some point within a clip of a sequence, but there is no correlation to the marks of the sequence.
I have not (knowingly) done any audio editing, although I am working on a German keyboard and my menus show some odd commands, e.g. Cmd-Y for Undo because of this (the German keyboard goes QWERTZ and YXCV, so Y and Z exchange places) and I am still hitting Cmd-Z when I want to undo stuff, but Cmd-Z itself does not seem to have any function.
So, it looks like I am simply inadvertently giving FCX the command to shut up from a certain point in my clip onward right to the end, without actually silencing the data, since it is still visible in the viewer. I am stumped.
I had this happening to me a couple of times and the last time my only (desperate) remedy was to delete all the clips in the timeline, drag the originals back from the browser into the timeline, render again etc. etc. Well, rendering takes about 3 hours, so I'd rather prefer learning what the heck is the stupid thing I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions, anybody?

Well, not silly, just desperate;-) I tried a similar workaround. First I re-copied the two clips concerned into the sequence, cut them into pieces (it was a video of a concert, so I cut right after every song) and rendered the pieces separately. All went well, except for the last one, at which FCX had run out of memory again (how much does this s...er use anyway? I have 1.25 gigs of RAM, 4 gigs free on my boot partition and 20 gigs free on the document partition with the video; and NOTHING ELSE running). Anyway, repeating the render for the remaining clip was eventually no big deal either.
I saved after every step, so I would know, when something went wrong, but nothing did.
So, right now it runs oK, but leaves a somewhat stale feeling in my mouth, since I prefer knowing where the problems come from. My guess would be either a memory-related issue, or that, due to this strange shift in key commands owed to my German keyboard, I hit the wrong keys a couple of times and those did something elaborately strange to my audio tracks. Well, when it comes up again and I can catch the culprit, I will let you know. Thanx for your input for now;-)

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Sync hangs at very end, after updating to 3.0

After updating my 3G phone to v3.0, the backup and sync appear to proceed normally and then the sync hangs at the end. When it hangs, iTunes pegs the processors in my MacBook Pro. After waiting an hour the first time, I simply disconnected the USB cable without apparent ill effects; iTunes died down and my iPhone reverted to its non-syncing screen. I've done a restart of the phone (two buttons down for 10 secs until Apple logo appears) to no avail.
I've, of course, been adding apps willy-nilly since getting the iPhone so this may be it, right?. Should I start stepping back on these until I find a culprit?

This issue, to my knowledge, is known by Apple and should, from what I've read, be fixed (hopefully) in the 3.1 software. Given all of that, I'm not so sure why it's taken so long, unless, of course, Apple still hasn't figured out what's caused the issue. Try doing a search in the forums for this topic and you'll find you're certainly not the only one. Far, far from it.

I have an iPad 2and have not had any trouble until I up dated my os. I have a pc with win 7. I do not sync since I have so much music on my computer. I synced my apps during the back up but I had to manually reload my music and videos. Since then I turned off all syncs.
Since I have to load all my movies on this has been happening. I get through about 4 movies then it will hang up. I eventually get an error message that it cannot load this movie. I then attempts to close out. This seems to hang. When I attempt to eject the iPad it attempts to sync and that never finishes. I pull the plug and that stops the sync but I have to restart the computer before I plug back in the iPad or it will not recognize it or it will attempt to finish the sync which never ends. It sometimes hangs on something with safari and site protection.
After I restart my computer I can put in 4 or so movies, including the one it hung on before, but it always hangs up again. Any suggestions?

I am having an almost identical problem and hoped that iOS 6 and the new iTunes would fix it. Regrettably, I again got 3 movies synced last night before iTunes locked up and gave me the xxxx cannot be synced "because the file cannot be written" message. Same deal with iTunes hanging on "finishing sync" after that and me having to remove the iPad from the cable to get things to come back to life on the PC (Win 7 64 bit).
I've also done a factory restore followed by a restore from backup and have the same problem.

Report who continues formatting until the end

I have a little problem with a report I must review. Normally, you run a report and it stop at first page and you can see it. Later, you will can go to next pages or until the end if you want. But this report continues running until the end without stopping. Can anybody help me?

I don't know if this will help you or not, but I've noticed that when you run a report it will generate the number of pages that you viewed the previous time you ran the report. For instance: If I run a report and look at the last page, it will automatically run all of the pages the next time I run the report, however if I only go to page 5 then the next time I run the report it will only generate to page 5.

AirPort connection hangs until clicking menu

My AirPort connection seems to randomly hang until I click the AirPort menu. I've found a video of this problem on the web, but not a fix. Anyone have any ideas for a fix? I have all of the latest updates installed.

If your Netgear router has been configured to disable its SSID broadcast, your first step should be to undo that and let it broadcast its SSID.
Then try setting up your Mac again with your Netgear router being the "preferred Airport network" per:

Laptop hanging in battery mode

Hi,
I am using HP G42 model notebook with win 7 OS. My laptop getting hanged when i change the power to batttery mode. The CPU utilization is going to peak and i am not able to do anything in my laptop. If i replugged the power back the laptop working normal.

I'm having the same problems that most of you have mentioned. I'll run through them here:
+ I too have had my PowerBook G4 for about 3 years, and my battery has worked fine. Until this week.
+ The battery status indicator is stuck on "calculating..." whenever I'm running on battery power. For days now, when the battery is 99% and when the battery is 10%, still "calculating..."
+ I've reset the PRAM, and the PMU. I've recalibrated the battery a couple of times.
+ My battery life is still quite strong. Or at least it was. A few days ago I was able to use it for a couple of hours on the battery, which isn't too bad. At its best, it only ran for about 3 hours.
+ Like someone else mentioned, my battery drains much faster on standby/sleep than it used to. I can leave it on standby nearly fully charged, and when I open it up just an hour later it is down to just 5% and it shuts down almost immediately.
+ Another really annoying thing is that the % calculation is erratic. My powerbook shuts down when the charge is 40% to 50%, and time remaining is almost one hour, with no warning message given.
+ I almost never get a low level warning before the battery dies and it goes to sleep.
I'll be calling applecare shortly and will post anything useful I learn.

I have reset the phone, full firmware restore, even downgraded back from firmware 4.2.1 to .3.1.3 official by using dfu mode and still doesnt fix.
(i correctly got out of dfu mode after the downgrade)
i can enter dfu mode and recovery, and update through itunes with no problem, but it doesnt fix the problem,
i have searched and found no answer to this problem, every option availible to try that i know of i have tried and failed. i dont care about preserving my content i just want a fix. i have a good understanding how to operate software on a computer and shouldnt be too confused by any advice given, so plz even if the answer is very complex i wish to try anything, please help me to get my iphone working.

Anyone have any suggestions? or is everyone else just as clueless as me !
