My 2 nd gen iPod is stuck at the USB and iTunes. It says it needs to be restored try restoring it and it says it again when it's done what do I need to do.
I have tried diff computer as well
Maybe:
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)
Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .
Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

Then try restoring on another computer.
Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

My Ipod touch, 4g i think, is stuck on the USB to Itunes and when i connect it to itunes it says that i cant use it untill i restore it. So i clicked on Restore and update. It goes untill the bar at the top is fully filled then a message pops up saying 'Ipod 'Ipod' could not be restored, The devise can not be found.' its Never done this before and i have tryed over and over again. Same thing everytime. I really need help! Any help would be gratelly apperciated! Thank you!

First my ipod didnt show it was charging but still turned on(it was dead) so i tried the hold sleep and wake button but my computer(windows 7) wont recognize it so its stuck on the connect to itunes screen.
PS i took it to get it fixed and they said they changed the battery not sure if that had anything to do with it????

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

Mine gave me an error in itunes side that it didnt recognize the phone. But when I unplugged and re plugged it it was fine. Or is yours on the screen with the little plug? You might have to go to Apple. I have that happen to a friend on the 7 upgrade. She needed a new phone. oy!

Since my iPhone 4S was stuck on the connect to iTunes screen after updating to iOS 7, I followed these instructions and restored. But nothing changed! I still have the same picture of a plug with arrow to iTunes.
It is restored now. Thanks for the comment about disabling firewalls - we did that and tried again and it worked.

The only thing you can do from here is plug into itunes and restore the device. You will lose all your content but you will be able to use and resync your device.

I tried updating my iPod to iOS 6 just after it came out, but my iPod never made it through the process. Just after backing up and restoring, I got an error message saying my computer could not connect to the iPod anymore, and it hasn't connected since. Yesterday, I had bought myself an ipod touch and it was working just fine until today when I went along with an itunes prompt to update my ipod. It failed to update and now won't recognize it, I checked to see if it was recognized by my computer--and it is, but a thing pops up that says "access denied" whenever I try to click on it. The screen on my ipod is stuck wanting me to connect to itunes.

I tried to upgrade the OS of my iPhone 3G and as I was done downloading the software and ready upgrade the phone it showed an error and the phone could not be seen in iTunes. So I unplugged and replugged the USB and now even trying to restore the phone back to normal it doesn't want to restore or upgrade the phone all the way.
