I have a Iphone 4 gsm (8f190) and it will not connect to itunes and when i put it in recovery itunes will not work. It won't show up when plugged into the computer. Only charges when plugged in the wall or a car charger. I've tried everything imaginable but I can't get the phone to register in iTunes at all.. The phone won't even reset.. when i try and reset EVERYTHING on the phone the apple logo with the progress bar starts to come up but the progress never moves.. PLEASE help me.. I'm at my wits end with this phone and I'm ready to just trash it.

Nonsense, and very misleading advice. I've updated iPhone 3G, 3Gs,and 4 through itunes many times, never had a problem once, not with one single update in nearly 5 years of iPhones. So, you are saying that you set up a brand new Apple ID and then signed into iCloud with it, correct?
Are you also saying both accounts are disabled for Security reasons? If not, why can't you sign on with the one that is not disabled?

My Nano will not hold a charge. It appears to be charging when plugged in, however when disconnected there is no charge and I get a battery low warning. All other functions work properly when it is plugged in. Do I need a new battery?

Depends on how long you have had your iPod. Every iPod comes with complimentary, single-incident telephone technical support within 90 days of your iPod purchase. If you also purchased AppleCare, then your warranty is extended for technical support and hardware coverage for two years from the original purchase date of your iPod. Or take your iPod Nano to your local Apple Store or an AASP. -

DFU Mode Restore.
With iTunes open, connect iPhone to computer. Hold both Home and Power buttons for exactly 10 seconds, release Power button, keep holding Home button until the iPhone is recognized by iTunes in Recovery Mode. This ususally takes 20 seconds more time. If the screen is black, this is DFU Mode. Restore the iPhone Firmware. If you get the connect to iTunes screen this is Recovery Mode, you can try the Restore, but if unsuccessful then do a DFU Mode Restore as I described. DFU Mode has the black screen. Even experienced users can have some trouble getting DFU Mode, keep trying (iTunes Recovery Mode + iPhone black screen = DFU Mode). -

I have had endless problems with my iPhone 5, so Apple has sent me a new one. My problem is, I need to back it up to my iTunes before I can restore my new phone. When I plug in my dead phone (to both the wall and the computer), it only charges until it wakes up, at which point it shows that the battery is at 10% and it is not charging. I only have a few minutes to work with it until it dies again. It is not connecting to my iTunes to do the backup, and I have many important photos I cannot lose.
I have checked the cords with other devices and I know it is a problem with the phone, and not the cords/computer. I have tried resetting it, but the top sleep/wake up button is broken. I do not have enough iCloud storage to backup all of my photos.
I need a fix as soon as possible, as I only have a few days before I have to send off my old phone to Apple to prevent being charged $700.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My iPhone will not update. The update has downloaded but when it says verifying with Apple it comes up with an error 3014. When I checked that error out, it says I need to make space on my hard drive but I have 52% space left. Any suggestions?
brad805 just as you messaged me I plugged my phone in one last time to see if it would work now and it has. My advice to others in my position. Try pressing the off and menu buttons at the same time if this doesnt work just leave the phone several hours like I did and go back plug it into your computer again and see if it works. I was patient and left mine plugged it in again and got a result.

Try rebooting. Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPhone should restart. See if you can use it when it comes back up.

My iphone will not turn on.... it froze earlier today and now it will not turn on all i get is a black screen with the apple symbol every once in awhile... also it will not connect to my computer so i can reset it to factory settings
Sammyhunter lets get you back in action! Has there been any physical/water damage to the device? Try pressing and holding the home and power button together. Once the Apple symbol appears release both buttons. Keep us posted!

my iPhone 4 has just shut down. Rang the phone then vibrated for 2 minutes bank screen, will not turn on, also tried charging and will not charge. Any suggestions? I did download a ringtone app and went on to iTunes to sync!.
Try charging the iPhone via a wall socket for at least 30 minutes then try a reset by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 20 seconds (maybe longer) until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider. Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.
