My 5s was plugged in overnight charging and now it will not turn on

Last night my 5s was plugged in to charge. This morning when I woke up it wouldn't respond. I unplugged and tried to plug it back in w/ no response. I plugged it into my computer to see if iTunes could get it to respond, no response. I tried to reset it by holding the home button & the lock button, no response. Anyone else have this happen or know how to resolve the issue.

Hi Airwake,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If your iPhone is not responding, charging, or recognized by iTunes, try placing it in recovery mode and restoring it:
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
