My ADE is having an activation server error. Please help.
If due to some reason, you are unable to deauthorize ADE, follow the below steps:
Note: Try these steps only if you remember the password so that you can authorize ADE again
1.Go-> Go to folder.
Go to folder dialog will appear.
2. Type ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions
drag the activation.dat file to the trash.
ADE will be deauthorized now.
Now Authorize ADE again.

- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem

Hello Everybody. I have an Ipad Mini And when I go to update ios 7 I have to reset my settings. I ruined my ipad by doing this and now I am seing something saying that ipad could not be activated because it couldn't reach the activation server. Please somebody help save my poor little Ipad . Can anybody help me save my little ipad as I don't know much about computers or tablets. Without an Ipad I don't know what to do? Does anybody have the same problem? If you'll check other threads you'll see that a lot of us having update/activation problems.
This is mostly a matter of waiting (and trying) to get connected to an Apple server.

My iCal is giving a weird SERVER ERROR.
I'm running LION on my iMac and I have iCloud setup between my MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad.
Everything was working perfectly a few weeks ago.
The problem occurs when someone emails me an iCal meeting request.
I open the iCal meeting request file in Apple mail, which takes me to iCal.
I then accept the meeting. An email goes out to the organiser of the meeting
and the meeting gets added to my iCal.
BUT THEN - I get the following ERROR MESSAGE.
The server responded with an error.

principal/ is not a location that supports this request.
GO OFFLINE or REVERT TO SERVER
I then click "GO OFFLINE" ...
and the iCal entry that I just added to my calender, dissapears.
This never use to happen.
Any help will be appreciated.

I observed that you are already assigning those parameters to Strings. You should add null checking for each of them. :) -
I'm developing a class to use di server methods, when using AddObject the new Object is created but the response says that "i can't duplicate the primary key".

Activation server error on ADE 3.0
Hi!
I unistalled ADE 4.0 and installed 3.0 because 4.0 wouldn't let me open .acsm files or transfer them to other devices. Now, on ADE 3.0, when i try to open an .acsm file, it comes up with a computer autorisaton window which reads "activation server error - code E_ADEPT_INTERNAL"
when i checked both the device and computer authorisation, it says that they are both authorised.

If you are running on 9i, another possibility is that the shared_pool setting is not taking effect
when the database is bounced. In 9i there is a new startup file called the "spfile". This is just
like the init.ora file with the following differences:
1. It cannot be edited by a standard editor. It is a binary file.
2. Any system changes to the database while the instance is running (e.g. via alter system) are automatically
written back to the spfile.
By default, when the 9i database starts up, it first looks for the spfile. If it finds one it uses the
settings defined in it. If it doesn't, it looks for the init.ora file.
When a 9i database is installed both init.ora and spfile.ora are created for the instance by default. Changes to
init.ora are not seen by spfile.ora unless the "create spfile" command is used to sync them up.
To get around this behavior, there are several options:
1. remove the spfile so that only the init.ora file exists. The database will then use init.ora exclusively.
2. sync up the init.ora file and spfile.ora file using:
create spfile='spfile.ora ' from pfile='init.ora'
where 'spfile.ora' and 'init.ora' are replaced with the appropriate names for your instance.
3. Explicitly reference the init.ora file when starting up the database using:
startup pfile='init.ora'
where 'init.ora' is replaced with the appropriate name for your instance.

Follow these steps,
1. Launch Adobe Digital Editions
2. Keeping ADE program active on your screen, Hold Ctrl+Shift+D keys.
- you will get a prompt window to Erase Authorization (ADE 2.0) & Deauthorize (ADE 1.7.2)
- Deauthorize ADE and Re-launch it.
3. Navigate to Help > Authorize Computer (in ADE 2.0) & Library > Authorize ( in ADE 1.7.2, usually you will be prompted to authorize when you launch the program ) . -
Connection Error.
Digital Editions could not connect to the activation server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet.
I am using a PC windows 8You should check if Firewall Adobe Digital Edition blockt.

Cannot activate, Activation Server error
I can logon to the Adobe site and have a valid Adobe ID and Password. Previous version worked fine, but I cannot get past the Authoriztion Screen on Version 2.0. Get the error message, "Activation Server error", "code : E_AUTH_NOT_READY". Repeated attempts yeild the same problem.
For the Error : E_auth_not_ready.

I downloaded ADE to access library ebooks. I have Windows 7. I created an Adobe ID and password. When I try to log in, I keep getting an Activation Server error message. The code is E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED. I have tried repairing it, and even downloaded Adobe reader. Nothing helps. Can you help me figure out how to proceed?
Problem solved. I just had to make sure the date and time were correct on the computer.
