My airport time machine blinks orange/yellow. It is always trying to prepare to back up but doesn't seem to be. Looks like HD is full. How do I correct this?

If you backed up your iPhone to iCloud before updating the software, first try the steps under "Restore from an iCloud backup" in this article to recover your data:

I'm using a WD NAS as my time machine backup drive and since upgrading to Lion the time machine won't operate with the drive. How am I to retrieve my photos and documents from it?

I purchased a 2tb WD My cloud, one of the reason was because it was compatible with the Time Machine for back ups, since I upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.2 I have not being able to use it nor my time machine finds it. I am able to do everything else and my macbook does see the WD cloud, I only have this problem with time machine back up. Does anyone have an idea how I can fix this problem?

You don't need the WD My Cloud to backup your data. You are paying more for a drive that has a feature that you really don't need. Any USB 3.0 drive will work to backup to Time Machine.
USB 3.0 drives work on USB 2.0 but you do get 2.0 speed. They are cheaper because they are popular PC drives. If you get a new computer you'll get the bump to 3.0 speed. I don’t recommend FW. The newer computers don’t have FW ports. You would need a connector in order to use the drive on a newer computer.
Size: I recommend either the 2T or 3T drives. Often they are cheaper than a 1T drive. The 4T drives have more issues and failure rates.
Many drives come formatted for PC but easy to format in Disk Utility.
This Western Digital drive has good reviews: Has a 2 yr warranty. Comes formatted for Mac but I would still format using Disk Utility.

Check the warranty when comparing. The longer the warranty the better the drive. WD makes cheaper drives but with almost no warranty.
Locally, Best Buy seems to have the best prices.
You can get one drive fr both Time Machine and clone, but it’s recommended that you use different drives for each. If the drive dies you lose both types of backup. Time Machine needs 3X the amount of space on your drive.

ITunes reboots automatically every time I try to shut it down, any ideas how to fix this?

Hi! Every time I try to quit iTunes, it shuts down and reboots automatically, so once I've started it I won't be able to turn it off. And further more, if I want to shut down my computer while iTunes is on, it just won't happen, and the only way to do it is by pressing the Power button for a couple of seconds, then a dialog box will ask me if I'm sure what I to do, wether rebooting or shutting down, and only then I can shut my computer down.
Is anyone familiar with this issue?

For starters lets try this .. Close FF, locate your profile main directory and the file "localstore.rdf", make a backup copy then delete the original file. Restart FF, you may lose some custom settings but easy to restore. Does it still crash?

I have a Airport Time Machine at my computer, a Airport Extreme in the kitchen, and I want to set-up my Airport Express in my second office. How is this done so all show 4 bars on my iPhone?

I have a Airport Time Machine at my desk in the office with the router, a Airport Extreme to have WiFI in the kitchen connected by my ethernet, and I have a Airport Express in my second business office connected to the ethernet thru a switch.
Will this all work? And what is the best configuration?
Do I connect my Express to the Ethernet? From the installation notes it seems I do, but I'm not sure?
Any help on these is appreciated?

My airport time machine yellow light is flashing ,why?

Find out by opening the status on the airport utility summary page when you highlight the TC. There is no way of figuring it out except via the utility. What does it list is the problem.

Airport extreme continuously blinks orange, it is an older model not used for some time. airport utility can see it but just reports an unexpected error message.

It shows as connected to the internet but when selected in airport utility I just receive the message "unexpected error occurred try again" and I can't get past this point. any ideas?

Do a factory reset .. nothing will be deleted from your backups and you will be able to get access to them again.
The Factory Reset Gen1-4.
Unplug your TC. Hold in reset. and power the TC back on.. without releasing reset for about 10sec. When the status light flashes rapidly; release it.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel.. add no more pressure after that.
TC will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
