My App Store doesn't seem to update any of my apps and can't download either.

Hello I have an iPhone 5s and every time time I try to update am app, it is stuck in the endless circular motion and never moves to the update part. The same thing happens when I try to download any app. It just continues to go on forever in the endless circular motion next to the app on the App Store. I've tried resetting my settings but they don't work. Any help will be great thanks.

Howdy AnthonyL98,
Is this issue isolated to just the App Store and not the iTunes Store or iBooks Store?
If your iPhone is having issues connecting with the store, please see
Can't connect to the iTunes Store - Apple Support
Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.
Although you are not getting an error message, we need to know you can connect okay.
There's a section for Getting help with past purchases here to check out.

And although these are not OS updates, make sure you have space to update.

  • Mail crash,App Store doesn't work(no updates)

After having installed Mavericks everything worked (barely) fine...
today i've opened Mail, downloaded the mails,i see the list of the new received messages,i click on them once(just to have the mail preview below)
but no preview is showing...if i suddenly try to open the mail in a new window double-clicking it...Mail crashes and shuts down.
Afterward i tried to open the App Store to check for maybe some fixes or updates regarding this new System...
    and guess what?
Neither App Store works...in a worse way,i just can't open it..when i click on the app Icon in the Dock,it just bounces once and stops..no white dot light which means that it's running/opened..
I can't check for updates and i'm feeling in a trap right now...
    any help?
    I need desperately a solution,running some business.
    Thanks in advance to everyone.

Apple doesn't routinely monitor the discussions. This is a user group.
Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account.  Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

  • HT5362 How do I turn off notifications for Software Updates? 'App Store' doesn't show in the list of notification apps. I want the background checks for updates, just not the notifications.

How do I turn off notifications for Software Updates?
In the 'Notifications' section of the 'System Preferences' app, there is no tab for managing the notifications of System Updates nor App Store.
Hey--- I like auto-checking for updates, and hey--- I like auto-downloading them in the background.
BUT I do not like being notified of updates in the middle of working! Especially when it's iTunes updates. Grrrr.
Any chance this is easy and I just missed it?
    THANKS COMMUNITY!

  • Updated my iphone and it deleted a notes app that doesn't seem to exist any more

after putting off updating my iphone for months i finally desided to do it. I had an app called notes, published by a company called Mendero AB, and when iv'e gone to dowload the app again it isn't even in the app store. I've looked online found it tryed to download it and it says cant dowload here transfer to another itunes (swedish itunes) then when that pops up it isnt der either. It's not the app I'm bothered about it's the notes i've wrote down I presumed they would still be there if I re-dowloaded it because the update deleted gta3 from my iphone when i re-dowloaded it my game save was still there.can anyone help me pleeeaase

Have you backed up your device to your computer?
If so, you can find a copy of every app in User/Library/Music/iTunesMedia/Mobile Applications.
Check to see if your app is still in there. It's very possible iTunes removed it on its own, in which you would be SOL. You can sideload apps into iTunes but that requires a copy of the app from elsewhere.

  • Submission to App Store Doesn't show Bundle ID from Flex iOS App

We built an iOS app using Flashbuilder 4.6 and Air 3.6.  We provisioned iPads successfully and deployed to the devices. Everything worked great.  When we attempted to submit the app to the Apple iTunes Connect didn't show our Bundle ID in it's drop down. This being the case, we were unable to submit the app.

thank you for answer but when i open my mac for the first time i can't update from app store and i download and install it manually from http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1715
but if i've already install then it should show that i've installed isn't it

  • App Store doesn't recognize my purchased Final Cut Pro app

In February, my logic board was replaced, and the App Store sees my laptop as a new computer, so it's no longer recognizing some (but not all) of my purchased apps. I purchased Final Cut Pro via the App Store in December. The installed version runs fine, but the App Store won't update it to the latest version (10.2). The "Buy" button in the App Store says "Install," but when I get an error message that reads "Final Cut is already installed on this computer. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu to check for available updates." But there isn't a Software Update command in the Apple Menu anymore -- just a link back to the App Store, which won't help me! How do I get the App Store to let me install the new version?

Should I delete any/all copies of the app and then download a fresh copy from the App Store?

  • Logic Studio: Software Update not working for Compressor and can't download

I'm a Logic Studio customer. The 3.0.2 update isn't working from Software Update. I've tried to download the installation file separately, but it looks like you need a Final Cut Studio SN to download. Compressor is part of Logic Studio, so we need to be able to update also - without relying on Software Update. Thanks guys

    Hello there Brad,
I was thinking it might be a good idea to delete and re install the iMovie and iPhoto applications from the Mac App store.
First find the apps in your Applications folder in finder, and move them to the trash and restart your computer.
Then use this article to re download them from the Mac App Store.
Mac App Store: Finding your purchased apps
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4483
Apps purchased via the Mac App Store
When purchased via the Mac App Store, apps are installed in the Applications folder. Icons for purchased apps are automatically placed in the current user's Dock. There is also a purchases tab in the Mac App Store where you can see all of your Mac App Store downloads.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • Just updated to Firefox 4.0 and can't download former 3.6 version as suggested by others...what can I do since I have Mac OSX 10.4.11 and can't download older Firefox version?

When I went to the website suggested in the forum to download the older 3.6 version of Firefox, there was nowhere I could click to download this older version. Firefox recommends and had a place to click on downloading 4.0. How can I get the best of both without having to upgrade my Mac OSX? Please send me a reply ASAP! Thanks!

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5. You can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Mozilla are working to prevent Mac users with non-compatible systems from getting the notification about Firefox 4, and also not displaying the "Download Firefox 4" button on http://www.mozilla.com

  • Adobe doesn't recognize my serial number for photoshop CS and can't download CS3

    Please help

Check with Customer Care. They may allow you to activate the upgrade using the Challenge Code method.
Apparently, Adobe has a challenge code system.  So, if you have the old serial number from the upgrade and you call customer support.  Customer support has a challenge code procedure where they give you a code that overrides the problem.  Unfortunately, it took me 5 calls to customer support before I found someone who knew how to do it.  The key term is "Challenge Code"

  • My app store doesn't refresh

Hey I'm having a problem with my app store, not everything seems to be refreshing properly. Search and updates works perfectly as does my Top 25 list. I rarely use categories so I don't know if that is malfunctioning or not. The problem lies in the featured menu, the "new" and "What's Hot" categorie are showing the same apps for a few weeks now.
I am wondering if this is a known issue (although I can't find much about it) and how I can solve it.

I had the same issue with the whole "Featured" part of the Appstore, it was never refreshed since few weeks.
When I checked today, it seems that it had been finally updated. Then I clicked on the featured App of the Week icon to have a look at it.
But there is no button to browse back to the main Feature page. I get sticked in the Info about this application. Even if I quit the Appstore and open it again, it's always this dedicated application's info page that shows up when I open the Featured part. There should be a button to go back to "Featured" on the top left, but it is not there.

  • I have an app in my app store that is requiring an update but I never purchased the app and when I click update, another apple ID pops up that is not mine.  Now i keep getting reminders to update the app and I cant get rid of it from the app store.  Help.

I have an app in my app store that is requiring an update but I never purchased the app and when I click update, another apple ID pops up that is not mine.  Now i keep getting reminders to update the app and I cant get rid of it from the app store.  Help.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store notice. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
    kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
In the Finder, press the key combination command-F to open a search window, or select
    File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
    Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu initially showing Kind. From that menu, select  Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select Raw Query and click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of popup menu. Click in that box and paste (command-V).
The search window will show all the App Store products you've installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the items listed in the search window is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Test.
