My Bridge Is Acting Wierd With Huge Thumbnails

I just backed up my files on Webroots backup system. Now, the bridge is acting strange. The thumbnails are HUGE. I can use the slider to make them a little smaller but if they get too small they disapear. I reinstalled the Ps and Br part of the disk, but I have also noticed that when I am in Br and want to go to Edit>Preferrences, I always get a Br problem and it has to close. Running on Windows XP, and Ps cs3. Thanks. Glenn

Does your ipod act wierd with movie-length mp4s?

Hi all,
I've used Avex to convert some of my dvd movies to mp4s. The convertion works great, but when I play them on my iPod (80G Video), the ipod freezes at the end of the movie or if I try to pause it. I then have to reset the ipod.
It works fine when I convert shorter TV episodes to MP4.
It this a known issue, or you you think the avex conversion is wierd.

Yes, this is exactly the thing to do in your situation since you've got an iPod that's video freezes; reset the iPod.
Resetting the iPod is simply like restarting a computer, which does not loose it's data if everything goes normal (which it does, unless a really weird error happens).
So is the iPod. Resetting is probably the first troubleshooting step that Apple recommends with any iPod issues, and is simply is used to restart and refresh the iPod. It often cures minor little freeze ups or little glitches in the iPod's behavior.
By the way, the data on your iPod will be safe and unafffected by resetting it.

If the photos are those that you've synced to the device from your computer then you will need to copy the directory that they are in on your computer. If they are photos that you've copied from your device to your computer theg you can also either copy their directory, or (if they are still on it) re-copy them from the device onto the new computer (photos to computer).

Mini bridge in CS6 Photoshop displaying grey thumbnails

I"m on a MAC platform and working with CS6 Photoshop with minibridge (thumbnails preview at the bottom). When I preview the images, the thumbnails are all grey.
Does anyone has an answer to switch back to normal view.

Thank you for replying to this discussion. The grey thumbnail preview occurs only in minibridge when I launched Photoshop CS6, not the case with the regular bridge. I can preview thumbnails with images in the regular bridge. Nonetheless, I've tried purging cache but to no avail, grey thumbnails still displaying in the mini bridge.

I just built a new computer with this board. I run an online graphical game (Dark Age of Camelot) for 1 hour, and then the virtual memory overloads and crashes the game. I do NOT have any of your other symptons tho. Possibly related? Latest drivers for everything, no viruses or spyware to be found. I havnt been able to locate this problem.

Bridge is not connunicating with Photoshop CS6

I own Photoshops v CS3, CS5.1 and CS6 which I bought as an update.
All versions were installed on my PC and to make moore room on my hard drive I uninstalled CS3 and CS5.
I now find my Bridge CS6 cannot open images. I get the error message 'Windows cannot find C:/Programme Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Photoshop.exe The Updater in CS6 has never worked for me - I always get an error message (I did uninstall and re-install CS6 about 3 times when I purchased it but this didn't make any difference to the error messages)

I have done as you suggested. I already had a backup copy from when I downloaded CS6 earlier in the year and I have re-installed it. Strangely enough I wasn't prompted for my previous version licence no.
However I am still getting error messages which I thought might have been erradicated with these actions (Extension Manager 6.0.8 Update
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7) and I now find the Text Tool doesn't work!
After re-starting my PC the TEXT Tool is now working! There seems to be a bug in my PC!
I have discovered that the Error Code U44M1P7 relates to Extension Manager - I have no idea what this software is - so maybe I don't need it

Actually the Licensing information for the package is missing hence it is not launching any applications. You need to Reserialize the products using APTEE which you can find it on the Machine where you have created the package. If you dont have the access to that Machine then please download and install Creative Cloud Packager and it will download APTEE in the below mentioned location.
Windows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\CCP\utilities
Once downloaded please follow this KB article to use the Tool.

You need to look at all programs in your uninstall list, and see if you spot any old trials that are no longer active.
Camera Raw in Bridge and PS are the same program, so its not the program but access. Would have been nice it you had stated OS, but here are locatons of camera raw for both OS.

I have a question sort of relevant to this discussion. Had my 8800GT start to fail on me in my MacPro1,1 - in desperation I disassembled the card, cleaned it, applied fresh thermal compound/padding, and stuck it back in. To my amazement the card actually began working again! Before failing a few days later ; ;.
I ordered a replacement 8800GT on ebay for a considerably low cost, but before it arrived my computer began behaving normally again. From what I'm understanding from this thread, there is absolutely no benefit to installing both cards in my computer at the same time? If that's the case, I'm going to tuck the backup card away and keep riding my self-repaired card until it crashes again.

While downloading reports in excel with huge volume of data ,we are getting misalignments in the excel sheet(some data comes in wrong rows). Can you please suggest what could be the reason and how to correct it.

If you are using Office 2003, then you cannot download morethan 65000+. However if you use Office 2007, I think it gives you somewhere around 400000 records. (I didnt scroll below that!!!). Also the columns are morethan IV.
However assuming that, even that version can have limitation, you can always download your data in a wordpad/notepad/textpad etc which are basically text editing tools. They dont have any such row or column restrictions.
Once downloaded, you can randomly split them into some x number of files, based on the number of records and then open the same documents using xls sheet using tab value as delimiter. Now the alignment will be perfect in the excel sheet.

Slider with scrolling thumbnails

Is there a way within Muse to have a slider/gallery with scrolling thumbnails? Currently I am using a third party gallery to accomplish this, but I'd rather stay within Muse itself.

You can try using compositions and then slideshow within composition.
In composition target container insert the slideshow and as set of slides create different slideshows for separate composition containers.
It would similar effect.

Snow Leopard 10.6.2 acting up with an LG W1934S

My silver MacBook running Snow Leopard 10.6.2 is acting up with my LG W1934S, it doesn't detect it at all and I am unable to use the monitor's native resolution.
Any help or a clue?

Yes. To print all you require is the "MX860 series CUPS Printer Driver Ver. 10.26.2.0" from the above web site.
To scan, you will need to install the "MX860 series Scanner Driver Ver. 14.11.1".
But what about the wizard, an integral part of set up disc? Are these included in the downloads? I would appreciate any help/confirmation that I am on the correct path to a solution. 10.6.2 has been out for a few months now and other users of this combination, MacBook and PIXMA MX860 printer, will have solved the problem.
The drivers include an installer which will copy the necessary files to the Mac. After you download the file, you double-click the file which will mount the contents, much like putting a CD into the Mac. Here you will see the installer for each respective driver.
With the drivers installed, all you need to do is connect the Mac to the MX860 via USB cable and the printer will be found by the OS and the printer and scanner queue created.
If you want to connect via network instead of USB, then you will have to install the Canon IJ Network Tool as well (from the MX860 page).
