My built in webcam keeps going fuzzy and blurry in a matter of five seconds. I reinstalled it i don't know how many times and it continues to do this. At first when i open up toshiba my webcam application the display is clear and i can see myself just fine. What can i do to fix it? Help please! -Ashley

  • My laptop no longer detects my built in webcam

I have an HP G60-635DX notebook.   I have a built in webcam which I have used several times before, but now all of a sudden my laptop is not even detecting I have a built in webcam.  What to do?  I have a Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Webcam.  It bums me out.  It is the only way I can talk to my boyfriend face to face while he is out of town and now it is not even working!

OK, to start with, may I know if you can you check using webcam with Cyberlink Youcam Software & if webcam is listed in device manager under imaging device....
To get to device manager, follow the below steps:
Click on the Start button and then choose Control Panel.
Click on the System and Security icon.
Note: If you're viewing the Large icons or Small icons view of Control Panel, you won't see this link. Simply click on Device Manager and then proceed to Step 4.
In the System and Security window, click on the Device Manager link located under the System heading.

  • New iMac 27" WILL NOT connect the built  in webcam to any websites. HELP!

    Hey,
    I have the iMac 27'' 2.93 GHz Intel Core i7 16GB.
The built in webcam, (and also any USB webcams I have tried to connect,) will not connect to any websites such as Chat Roulette, or any other broadcast website that requires Adobe Flash Player. I hit accept, and it just comes up as either a black screen, or says detecting video. (Depending on the site.) I have tried on multiple browsers, is there a random setting I don't know about?
The webcam works perfectly with Skype, Photobooth, iChat- but it will not work when trying to broadcast through any website.
Can someone please help me solve this problem!? It's ridiculous.
Thank you! I will paypal anyone who comes up with a working solution for me $10.00!

  • How to use HP Mini's built-in webcam in Windows 7?

I have a new HP Mini 5101 netbook. It came with a built-in webcam. Yay! It also came with Windows 7 Starter. Ugh!
How do I get it to access the built-in webcam? In Windows XP, you'd just go to My Computer, and there was a camera icon right there. You'd double-click it, and the camera would start operating. I can't find any similar feature for Windows 7, I can't find any topic in the HP Help for using the web cam, and there's nothing listed in the support topics for accessing the camera in the HP Mini support section.
The camera is recognized in Device Manager, so I know it's not a driver issue. I just don't see where I'm supposed to click to access the webcam.
Someone must have come across this. Any ideas?
    Thanks,

Dorgem has been discontinued so I think you'll have to go with MSN live messenger.

  • My built-in webcam is not being detected by CyberLink Youcam on Windows 7 (HP Pavilion dv2660se)

Hi, I bought this laptop from someone I know, and Windows 7 came with it. I must say I don't know much about electronics. The built-in webcam won't work, either on CyberLink YouCam or on MSN Messenger. On CyberLink Youcam, it says no webcam is detected. In the control panel it doesn't even say there's a webcam, but there's an 'unknown peripheric' though. What can I do? P.S.: Please forgive english mistakes if there's any.

Hi I have exactly the same problem. My webcam was working for months but I recently had the laptop sent for repairs for something else, and I've just noticed since having it back that the webcam isn't detected. When going into the webcam program it says there is no webcam detected and for integrated cameras, make sure it is switched on. I've also had an unknown USB device notification flashing up but when I investigate in Device Manager I have in 'Sound, video and game controllers' Cyberlink Youcam virtual driver installed and 'functioning properly' Also in USB devices there is a usb not functioning properly "Universal Serial Bus Controllers / (Standard USB Host controller) / Port_#0002.Hub_#0003" and 'no drivers have been loaded for this device'. It's unknown but when I choose to search  manually for driver updates the path it directs me to is C:\Program Files (x86)\Realtek\NICDRV_8169\win7    'Windows has stopped this device as it has reported problems (Code 43)' Does anyone know what I might be able to do? I've tried reinstalling the Webcam driver but apparent from that I don't really know where to go.... Thanks

  • My macbook built-in webcam has died 2 times since I have owned it. Any ideas?

I got the macbook in 2010. It was the last year they made the white macbook (that I can tell). Since then I have had the webcam die on me twice. The first time it was under the apple care plan and I took it back they replaced screen/unit. Less than a year later the same thing happened. No damage to the macbook. No dropping. No deleting of software. None of the normal programs which use the built-in webcam will even detect it. Nothing that I can think of that would cause this. Any ideas?

  • Built-in Webcam not Recognized by Laptop

My built-in webcam on my Satellite A305-S6905 is not recognized by my laptop!!!
I click on Camera Assitant Software to boot up the cam and get no where.
The error message reads: Webcam is either disabled or failed. Please check your webcam settings.
I have no clue where the webcam settings might be. I have downloaded the driver 2x from the Toshiba recommended downloads: Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility for Windows Vista (32/64bit) / XP(v8.7.0.1007; 04-13-201... I get a message that the download was successful. Then, I check the list of devices in the Device Manager. The Chicony USB 2.0 Camera software is nowhere to be found. I cannot select it to Update the software. I have restarted my computer 2x. No help.
Does anyone have any suggestions?   My daughter is leaving for Hong Kong and Vietman and I would like to track her journey using Skype. Thanks, NC

Thank you for the help Jerry, but I already tried that download. After downloading, I recved the following message: “The setup has detected that version (1.07..) of Camera Assistant Software for Toshiba is already installed. This setup installs an earlier version of Cam Asst. Soft for Toshba. You will need to uninstall the previous version (17.193.0508L) before installing this version.”
I have not tried to find the earlier Cam Asst Soft for Toshba version to uninstall yet. Should I find the earlier version, uninstall and download this earlier version?

    Hi,
Unless you've removed it, the webcam software should hae a software/app called CyberLink Youcam. You can dwnload from the following link and install on your computer again:

I have an HP Pavilion dv6636nr Entertainment Notebook computer.  It came installed with Windows Vista and I just recently installed Windows 7, 32-bit onto it.  The built-in webcam worked for a short time, but now it doesn't even show up in the device manager and no longer functions.  I don't know if there are drivers in conflict or what, but I am very frustrated.  Any help anybody can provide would be greatly appreciated, as HP no longer supports this laptop because it's OLD.   Thanks!

Hi, my built in webcam has stopped working on Skype following an update. Does this mean my macbook air has blocked videochat on skype? How can I fix this problem?

    See this thread:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5306216?tstart=0
    FIX:
    1. You need Time Machine
    2. Go to folder /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/
    3. Copy AppleCamera.plugin to good place (usb memory stick is the best place).
    4. Go to Time machine in date that skype work fine.
    5. Change AppleCamera.plugin with file from Time Machine
    6. Restart system, Now skype need to work with camera.
    If that doesnt pass,
Suggest looking here, much success has been found:

    HI,
Go to the Apple icon menu and hold the ALT key down whilst doing so.
Select System Profiler (it changes when and if you hold the ALT key down)
IN the System Profiler open up the Hardware > USB option
Does this list the camera ?
If not then do a SMC/PMU reset (the model Specific bits are at the bottom)
If it does appear then Log in a different Mac User Account (You may need to create one in System Preferences > Accounts)
Do those same Apps "see" the camera now ?

  • My Built-in Webcam has my image in a horizontal split screen!

My Built-in Webcam has my image in a horizontal split screen. How can I fix this???

Let me explain more - when I use skype for example, my image is displayed in a horizontal split screen. I have tried another chat product and the same thing happens - so it must be something to do with the built in camera or configuration of the camera. Would it be best to contact Apple about this? Will somebody have to get a spanner out to fix my quite new macbook pro? (3 months old). I teach languages online so I really depend on a decent image. Can anybody help me?

  • My built-in webcam is not being detected by CyberLink Youcam

My built-in webcam is not being detected by CyberLink Youcam (webcam) Pavilion dv6-6c10us

    Hello,
I see that you're having an issue with the webcam in the notebook. If you could, please check and see if the webcam is listed in the device manager. If you don't know how to check for that, you can follow step 1.
Now, if you can't seem to find it listed in the device manager it could be that the webcam may have become unplugged internally and requires service. It could be a faulty webcam module which is not been recognized. I suspect you might have to send the Notebook in for a warranty repair to get it fixed. Now, if that's the case after following the steps below you will need to call HP@8004746836 and see what options they have to replace or repair the notebook.
Also, you can follow these steps to try and resolve the issue.
    Steps:
Please follow this document which will guide you through a couple of steps on how to resolve this issue you're having.
The document should something like this:
First, try this steps that's circled.
If the first steps doesn't seem to resolve the issue go ahead and follow the next step below.
The first section "Video does not appear in your webcam software (such as YouCam, Skype, Messenger, etc.)" will guide you through a couple of trouble shooting steps to get the webcam to work within these programs.
If the first step doesn't resolve the issue please go to step #2 "Reinstalling the original webcam program that came with your computer”. This section will guide you through recovering the webcam software and drivers. This is the most important steps in the document if nothing before this resolves the issue.
It should look something like this:
Once you have finished both steps please let me know the outcome. If you have any more questions please ask.
    THX
