Sounds like the music you had on your phone was not the same music on his computer. The iPhone/iPod touch is not designed to be a storage device. When you sync with a computer that doesn't have your music, it deletes your music from your phone.
Was this music you purchased from iTunes? if so, and you are in the US, tap on itunes app, tap updates, tap purchased and tap on the cloud icon to get each song back. If you're not int he us, get iOS5 update later this week and do the same.
But you need to move your itunes library to his computer. Create a user account on his macbook pro for you. From your external drive backup, load your itunes library on it. Then sync as usual! (Don't tell me you don't have a backup for your computer!) -

You should check 'general-->settings-->restrictions' - toggle must be on.
If it will not help you - you have to Restore your iPhone in iTunes and setup it as a new iPhone. -

LGet an external hard drive, some good ones that I like are the OWC, http://www.macsales.com Mercury Elite Pro drives...they are very good and reasonably priced.
Get the drive, connect via USB or FireWire, then use Disk Utility to format the new drive as Mac OS X Extended (Journaled), and then use Disk Utility to Restore the current drive to the new drive. Restore actually clones the drive so you will have a bootable backup on the external drive.
After you have formatted and named the external drive, click Restore in the main Disk Utility window, drag the name of the old hard drive to the Source box, and drag the name of the new external drive to the Destination box. DU will make an exact clone of the internal drive on the external drive.
That clone will be a complete backup of the operating system and all of your data.
You can test it by restarting the iMac and hold the Option key. That will give you a grey screen showing all bootable drives. Just click the external drive, then click the upward pointing arrow under it and the iMac will boot from that drive. -

I have pre-bought an album for a March 25 release. But a single has been released from the album and i cant seem to download it, its says $0.99. Do i need to buy the single aswell? Shouldnt I have access to the song becasue i already pre-bought the album?

Here is some helpful information regarding preorder albums in iTunes. I would recommend checking to see if you can download the single directly from the preorder album as some artists release a single that is separate from the album and will be a different purchase.

Safari has disappeared from our iPhone. It's nowhere to be found with apps, and isn't listed in settings anymore. FaceTime is also gone. No idea how they disappeared. How do I get them back? Do I need to do a full reset?

Edit: I'd put a password on your phone to prevent changes like this. You can have one that is required to unlock it, but if you have others (kids, family) use the phone and don't want that, you can still put a password just to prevent changes to certain settings. Might help in the future. -

There is nothing wrong with the OS update.
Delete ALL your email accounts.
Restart Playbook
Put the accounts back and ensure they are all set with PUSH ON. Manual (push off) will burn battery.
Similarly delete your wifi connections and add back when required.
Turn off wifi is not connected to wifi.
Any "hunting for connection" in email or wifi will burn up battery. -
