When you use the maximize/restore button, the window is restored to its last size. Some websites use a script to enlarge the window to its maximum size so when you switch from maximized to restored you hardly notice any change. You may have to manually resize the window by dragging the lower right corner. Does that help, or is the button just completely not working??

Earlier in the week, I did a softare version upgrade for my iphone, unfortunatly at the time I did the upgrade the E:\ where all my itunes files are kept was not plugged in and so when I tried to sync later itunes could not find any of my files. I thought I had resolved the problem after I eventually managed to sync my iphone, however, when I plugged in the itoch last night, it wipped the whole of my E:\. I have managed to restore the E:\ and after several attempts, re-loading itunes, restoring the itouch, restoring my pc, I am still not managing to plug my itouch in without it erasing everything on my E:\, it doesn't even have to sync, just plug it in and watch everything disapear, please can anyone help?

i have a problem with itunes i have itunes installed on my pc.The problem i am having is that i cannot access itunes store at all,all i have is the bar on top saying accessing itunes store and it just does not go anywhere.If anyone is having the same problem i would love to know has i have searched every website and post trying to find a solution to the problem.

Optical audio output has stopped working - can anyone help?

My optical audio output has suddenly stopped working. I use the Mac Mini as a music centre, so use the optical out all the time. The analogue signal works (when I plug in headphones, I can hear the music) AND I have checked my audio system by plugging another Mac mini into it and it worked.
I can see the red laser light from the cable when I unplug it.
I have not changed any settings.
I presume this is a hardware failure - but it seems like a strange one as the analogue audio is working.
Any ideas?

try some of the usual troubleshooting steps:
_*resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM*_
_*resetting the System Management Controller SMC*_
also, run _*Apple Hardware Test*_, using the installation DVD that came with the mini, to see if any hardware problems are reported.

I have an ipad 2 and some area's of the screen has stop working, can anyone help?

hi my ipad 2 screen has stopped fuctioning in parts of the screen when my ipad is tilted on its side and the keyboard is up some letters wont respond as quick as the others, its continuously the same letters, can anybody help solve this problem, i dont know if its a hardware problem or a software issue :/

Do the letters not work whichever app you are in e.g. Mail, Notes, Safari ?
Have you tried a reset to see if the entire screen works when the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If that doesn't fix it then you could try restoring to your last backup, and next after that would be resetting back to factory defaults. If it still doesn't work then it is possibly a hardware issue, in which case you should contact Apple.

Does iTunes start in Safe Mode?
Open iTunes in Safe Mode to isolate any interfence with plug-ins or scrpits not manufactured by Apple.
Hold down the Shift and Control keys while opening iTunes. If performed correctly, you should see a dialog that says "iTunes is running in safe mode" before iTunes finishes starting up.
After clicking Continue, determine whether the issue you were experiencing persists in Safe Mode.
It would also be helpful if you can provide the Error Report from the Windows Action Center Reliabilty History. To view this go to Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Action Center > View Reliability History under Maintenance. Double click the iTunes critical event and copy it into your reply.

Same problem. I can see the itunes store so not a problem with windows firewall. The account is active on my iphone so i know i am not locked out. I can connect the PC to my iphone so i know itunes is working ok. It is just logging into itunes on this pc which doesn't work. Only thing I can think of is that the email address I use for my apple id has been offline for a while and is working again now, I'm wondering whether this has been the case for others who are having this issue?

I have been using my appletv for the last 4 months, gone to ue it today and the airplay icon dose not appear on me ipad2 running iso5 where is has been. I have also tried on my iphone 4 running iso 5 and again no joy.

Thanks Winston, restarting my router worked for me too. Seems that somehow the DCHP (maybe due to the Mountain Lion upgrade?) had assigned the same IP address to both the AppleTV and my iMac. The AppleTV stopped appearing as an AirPlay device for my iPhone and Mac, but still the AppleTV had Internet access.
Restarting the router reassigned IPs and without fanfare, the AppleTV is now available to AirPlay.

I have a G4 Mac Mini, with 512 MB of ram. I was happily computing along when I went to go on my external hard drive and I noticed it wasn't there!!! At first I thought it was the hard drive, but it wasn't because my old iPod mini wouldn't work either. I tried the Apple Hardware Test, but it didn't even think I had a firewire port, which made me think I needed to reinstall Tiger, as it might reinstall the drivers? But it didn't. Apples website doesn't seem to have any drivers available for download either. What should I do? I need my photos, which are on the drive for school!!!

Try different USB Cable, try different Charger. Clean iPhone charging port with clean dry toothbrush. If still problem and you have Warranty or AppleCare, make Genius reservation and take iPhone to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, most likely it could be battery or charging port assembly that need replacement.

Plug it into the charger/wall socket and let it charge for at least an hour. It just might start charging. If you have already tried charging it for a fair amount of time and it didn't work, try restoring the device with iTunes.

Itunes has always worked fine on my HP laptop running Vista. With no changes in configuration or software, Itunes has suddenly stopped working any time an Ipod, Nano, or Shuffle is attached. I have tried to reinstall all software, restart computer, checked devices for updates. Have also tried solutions published on Apple support page. Nothing works. Itunes starts and works fine until a device is connected, but then I get the message that the program has stopped working and needs to close. Occasionally the whole system crashes and I get a "blue screen" error.

I am using an iPhone 4 16GB Factory Unlocked.
My end call button has suddenly stopped working. The icons at the bottom of the screen are also accessed randomly.
i have tried everything recomended.
Updated to the iOS to the latest version 4.3.5. Did a complete reset of the set. rebooted the set several times. But so far nothing seems to work.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
