If for some reason you have failed to do the basics and backup your computer, then you will need to redownload ( if this is available in your country):
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Or you could transfer from an ipod: File>Transfer Purchases

If you are running Lion then all drivers are distributed through Software Update. You do not need to install anything, other than to install the printer in System Preferences > Print & Scan. If you already added the printer while it was connected using USB, you might want to delete it and set it up again wirelessly to avoid confusion. Or, give them two distinct names e.g. "Photosmart D110 (USB)" and "Photosmart D110 (wireless)".
All scanning functions are now performed using Preview, but you can also access the scanner through the same Print & Scan preference pane, or with Image Capture.

By synching our computer and tablet together with our new iphone, we lost all our critical calendar data. How do we get it back? The help info, HT4901, was the closest info from the Help pages but it assumed we were already on icloud and had simply disconnected our calendar from icloud. Actually, we were simply trying to synch our devices by signing up with icloud for the first time, so it seems our calendar never had a chance to get uploaded. In any case, how do you reconnect / re-access a calendar on icloud?
If your calendar does not appear on icloud.com it never uploaded to iCloud. If it is no longer on your computer you would have to restore it from a backup source such as Time Machine to restore it.

I synced to a different computer and it erased the music of my iPod how do I get it back?
I recently purchased a new iPod and I was transfering to songs from my old iPod touch to my computer to my new one. When I synced my old one it erased all of my songs. I went on ITunes to see if I could redownload them and it said that the music had already been purchased but it wasn't on my old iPod or new one. If you could please let me know how I could fix that it would be greatly appreciated!

Faith StinsonOK, so on your new computer, are you logged on with the same iTunes logon that you had on the old computer? If so, then you can go into the iTunes Store on that computer, and re-select each of the songs or albums you had previously purchased (one at at time). Be sure to select the exact same song or album (for instance, if a particular song is available on two different albums, or by itself, be sure that you select the same place you originally selected that song from). Then select the "Buy" button. It will ask for your AppleID password - key it in and press Enter.
iTunes should come back to you and say "You have already purchased this song. Do you want to download it again for free?" Say yes, and it will download your previously purchased song to your new iTunes Library. Once it is downloaded, sync your iPod, and you should be all set!
Note: if it says are you sure you want to purchase it - then you have either selected the wrong "version" of the song/album or have not signed on with the AppleID originally used to purchase that song/album.

They will not magically appear on another computer.
Your music will only be where you put it.
Copy it from the old computer or your backup copy of the old computer.
You buy one and only one download. It is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music.

so after the annoying reintallment of everything on my computer, there were a bunch of music and app that i have not backed up on an external HD. now that itunes hasx been re-installed, i want those items back, but don't want to sync my iphone for fear of losing everything on the phone (apps, music, etc.) that were purchased. Any suggestions?
Log into your iTunes account on the new comptuer and when you hook up your iPhone there will be a option to reverese sync your iTunes purchased content ONLY, back into iTunes.

I had hundreds of songs in my iTunes library, but when I open it now, I have about 40. They were a combination of downloaded songs from the iTunes store and songs loaded from my personal CD collection. I have searched for advice online. I have searched my iTunes folder and my recycle bin, and my songs are no longer there. I did not download a new version or plug in a device. Nothing has changed. Where could my songs be?

i have an ipod touch.
i had 300 odd songs on. i do not have the songs on my laptop. i wanted to add the songs without getting rid of the currnet ones.
without knowing , i just synced my ipod as usuall and my old songs were deleted. is there anyway in the world i could get those songs back ?!

hannah xThe iPod is not a storage device, all songs should reside on a computer and you can only sync to one machine. However, if these songs were purchased from iTunes you can reload them (see link). If not, and you have no backup, then they are gone.

Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: If you do not see the AppData or Application Data folders, you may need to show hidden files (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7), or iTunes may not be installed in the default location. Show hidden files and then search the hard drive for the Backup directory.

My daughter bought a new ipod touch and when synced received the contacts from my iphone. She deleted the ones she didn't want on her ipod and now they are gone from my iphone. I have the cloud and i thought back up on itunes. I have tried to re-sync and no luck. How can I get my contacts back?
Your problem is that she used your icloud ID to connect to icloud and thus had all your data synced to her device. Contacts are not saved in a backup to icloud, since they are stored independently in the Contacts section of icloud. If someone deletes them, they are gone. If you had them on the PC would they be available in some backup you frequently make of the PC?

Thank you for the reply, underneath the hard drive logo, it says 55.77GB. 12.88GB free, do you think that it is too full? if so, what do I do to reduce it, you can probably tell computers are not my best subject. I include the Hardware overview, I hope that this helps
