My computer needs to be updated but its saying its already up to date
My macbook is saying that it is up to date when it is not. I have a new ipod nano and im trying to sync it to my itunes but will not let me because things are not up to date. I have tried to update everything but like I said its telling me its already updated I NEED HELP
Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.

It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.

I bought two ring tones on my iphone 3. When i tried to buy the third, it wouldnt download because it says i need an updated iOS, i went into itunes and both itunes and my iphone are up to date, at least, that's what it says. It is very frustrating and i wish i knew what to do. It says i am on iOS 4.3.5 and it wont update, it just says that it is the most recent update but my iphone is telling me to purchase anything that i need one.....help please!
thanks a bunch, it would make one **** of a lot of sense if they happened to be updating ringtones and such already considering it is only 10 pm where i live and they are probably a few hours ahead of me......i shall wait and see......

LR5 says PS5 needs Camara Raw update, but manager says it's updated

What would happen if I open it in PS5 before I do any development in LR5? Would that work? Then save back into LR to develop? I'll give that a shot.
I'm not given the option to open with LR adjustments, unfortunately. Just to open anyway or not.
I am one of the unlucky ones who need CC but can't afford it. My CS5 suite is an educational edition, so I'm stuck with this arrangement for the foreseeable future. -
ok so I have not updated my computer in a long time and I go to the apple icon in the upper left hand corner of my computer and click on it and then click on softwear updates and it runs and says there are no updates.
You have to buy the next OS X version. Free updates are only available for the version you have. Since you're posting here, assume you want to upgrade to at least OS X 10.6? Or further?
Call the Apple online store, which in the US is at 800-MY-APPLE, or you can also order online from them too. OS X 10.6 is only available on DVD, not download. Get it, install, do Software Updates until no more are available. Done. You probably already have at least 1GB of memory, and some spare disk space to install it. Of course, backup first.
If you want to upgrade to OS X 10.8, see these requirements to see if your system is able to. Note the minimum memory is 2GB, however, 4GB is recommended. Assuming your system can run Mountain Lion, you can upgrade directly from OS X 10.6 to OS X 10.8. You don't need to upgrade to OS X 10.7 as an interim step. OS X 10.8 is downloadable from the App store.
If you want to upgrade to OS X 10.7, after you upgrade to OS X 10.6, call the online Apple store again to purchase a download code, then download from the App store. -
I don't have any "out of the norm" add-ons...
I recently experienced Firefox continuously crashing whenever I try to attach a PDF to an e-mail in Yahoo (not a large file size - about 300kb). I checked my add-ons to see if there was an issue there, and noticed there was a message stating "Adobe Acrobat is known to be vulnerable and should be updated message", even though I thought I had already updated it.
I went ahead and re-downloaded anyhow... it successfully installs, and then I still get the same error message.
Furthermore, this issue was recently added on top of my Firefox already running slow and crashing... I often clear my cache and have tried running in safe-mode as well, although this doesn't allow me full capabilities...
The only thing that seems to be different is the issue with the Adobe Add-on and a recent Java update. Are there instabilities in these?
How do I fix the issue with Adobe? I need to be able to upload, download, and view PDFs...Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox are most probably caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update and/or a malfunctioning Real Player browser plugin.

I've burnt a digital copy of 3 blu ray dvds onto my iTunes, but i cant sync them to my iPad-an error message says device needs to be authorized, but its only authorised to this computer, i've never tried to use it on any other! Can anyone help?!
Thanks for your reply, but you might have misunderstood it a bit. I'm NOT trying to buy a movie. ****, I'm not even in the actual Apple Store, when this happens I'm in the library not the Store part of iTunes.
To clarify - I have purchased a physical copy of a movie which came with another physical copy which contains the digital copy. The digital copy is on the DVD, all I need is just to transfer this file to my iPod Touch, for example, I'm not trying to download it from the store or repurchase it and it's not any gift code that I've received, the digital copy is on the disc. This is the first time ever that I've purchased something on a disc and I'm not allowed to access it because the disc hasn't been purchased within my country.
So again - I'm not attempting any purchase or download any purchased digital copy - it's on a DVD I own physically so... why is even the region of my Store relevant, the code I enter is (as I assume) just supposed to check if it's a legal genuine copy (which it is, as I've said - there are 6 discs in the pack: 3 movies on 3 Blu-rays and 3 DVD containing these digital copies of them). If I own it, I think that's proof enough that I have the right to use it. I just don't get it. I fully agree with you and understand your point if there was any purchase going on here, but it's not, it's just - I put a disc into my computer and I can't access it -

Correct. it does not magially appear in other places. It will only be where you put it.

Correct as well. Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
You need to copy everything ( itunes library/contacts/pics/calendars/files/docs) from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old one, to the new one. -

Scroll down under Summary to find Check for Updates.
Follow the prompts. You might also disable virus protection software on your computer while doing the update. You can turn it back on when the update is complete. -

I downloaded Pandora a while back. My 12 year old nieces were playing with my iPad and now the Pandora icon is not on my screen. The app store shows that it needs to be updated, but I can't do it. What can it do to recover my Pandora program?

My frustration is that this old app has now caused a glitch in my Apple App Store icon. I have a red badge with one update and it is referring to the old app that has been sold that needs to be updated. When I try to update the app it says no longer available for purchase. So I have since deleted that app in hopes that it would resolve the red badge issue. It has not. Somehow, that old app and the new app with the same name but by a different company has caused the glitch. I have reset all settings on my iPad, I have rebooted, I have deleted the app and still the red badge with the one update for the old app is there. Hmmm. . . I guess I need to take this into the Genius bar or wait for ios 7 in hopes that it will fix the glitch. Thanks again for your help.

Trying to update my software (iPhone and iPad) it says my iTunes software needs to be updated, but it is already is. I try this over and over again. I've already reinstalled iTunes and have shut down and restarted my Mac several times. How can I fix this?
