When you jar or drop a hard drive when it's operating the heads strike the platters and ruin sectors and the data on them.
Your getting the spinning wheel because the OS has been damaged and/or quite possibly the drive.
You'll first have to determine if it's a hardware issue
Do #3 Hardware Test and #5 Disk Utlity Repair Disk/Permissions here (check the SMART status)
Step by Step to fix your Mac
If the drive is fine and you don't have a recent copy of your data off the machine then also do this
Create a data recovery/undelete external boot drive
Then proceed with fixing the damaged software, likley by #8 your problem will be fixed.

Since updating last time Firefox will not open new tabs unless I right click on a link. It won't open them via file or the tab at the top of the brwoser or usinf ctrl + t. Anyone know how to fix this?

When I create a new project in iMovie and drop clips into it, it plays the first one and then quits right near the end of the second clip. I have re-started my computer, tried a new project etc, and no luck, does anyone know how to fix this issue?
This is a part of the larger MacBook Pro connectivity issue. There are several related threads dealing with the MBP's networking problems. If your unit is suffering from this type of difficulty, good luck ... (or a long ethernet cable)

my iphone 4 is only charging while off and everytime i try to reset it it still does the same thing does anyone know how to fix this ? ive tried resetting 5 times already , ive tired different plugs and usbs , nothings working
You will need to contact the app developer if your having problems with a 3rd paty app. See if they have a support forum.

my i phone 5c wont stop restarting!! sometimes it takes hours before the phone starts working again. Sometimes when it does this red lines go up and down the screen. Im so ready to go back to my 4s does anyone know how to fix this??? Should i mention i have tried restarting back to new and i have the most up to date software. Please help
If the center portion of the monitor is flickering then your GPU on the logic is bad or (unlikely given this symptom) that your monitor cable is pinched/damaged.
**Imediately backup ALL your important data while you can still see things on the monitor

perform SMC reset just to check:
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer. -
Hi, I have been watching videos from my ipad via ATV2 with no problems for over a year. As of yesterday my videos just keep loading and don't play. I don't think I have done anything differently. Does anyone know how to fix this. I have tried unplugging it waiting 30secs and then plugging it back in. I have tried restarting, updating and reseting but nothing is working. It's quite frustrating!!!! Any suggestions????
I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

I have an older version of itunes stuck on my computer and because of an apparent pathway missing it wont let me uninstall and reinstall the newer itunes....anyone know how to fix this issue?

I plug my iphone 3gs into my laptop and it no longer syncs with my iTunes. I've tried all the trouble shooting methods and nothing works. My iPhone doesn't appear on iTunes or under "My Computer." Does anyone know how to fix this?
If AMDS is running, you are using a USB port directly on the computer and not a hub, you have disconnected other USB devices except keyboard and mouse, you have completely uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes as described in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925, You have tried cleaning the connector on the bottom of the phone, you have tried a different cable, you have installed the latest USB drivers for your computer, you have disabled your antivirus and firewall, you are running as an Administrator account and you have tried creating a new user on your computer and connected when logged in as that user then you have exhausted my knowledge. The only other thing to try is a different computer. If it isn't recognized on a different computer you have a hardware problem. Good luck!

Do you have the Onavo app installed? If so, try removing it.
1. Go to your Settings app -> General -> Profiles
2. Locate the profile called "Onavo"
3. Tap Remove
4. Go back to your home screen and delete the Onavo Extend icon -

ICloud will not sync my contacts or calendar in Mac Office 2011. ICloud does however sync to my PC at work running Microsoft office 2010 and also to my IPad and IPhone. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I just updated my iPhone 6 to IOS 8.3. My safari will not let me search anything. If I type in a website URL, the Go button is greyed out. If I type in something to search on google, I press Go and nothing happens. Does anyone know how to fix this?
