My contacts are no longer on my ipad?  I wasn't syncing I was adding addresses.

I was adding addresses to my contacts on my ipad2 and went i hit done it took me out of contacts.  When I went back in all of my contacts are gone.  What to do?

Have you run system update recently? If so, and you're using icloud, I would have a look in System Preferences, icloud, and see if contacts is checked in there.

    Hi,
There have been no updates recently.
You would also know if the computer had stopped for an Update.
On the Mac in the Contacts App in the Contacts Menu > Accounts is it shown to be using iCloud to Sync the info between all devices ?

    Hi bluegrandpanash,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you backed up your iPhone to iCloud before updating the software, first try the steps under "Restore from an iCloud backup" in this article to recover your data:

  • IPhone 5s contacts are no longer synching with Mercedes E class command system. It did 3 days ago but no longer synchs my contacts?

My iPhone 5s contacts are no longer synching with Mercedes E class command system. It did 3 days ago but now it longer synchs my contacts - how do I get my contacts downloaded to the command system of my car?

status update -- I tried a lot of other things but finally solved the problem after I removed all the groups from mac address book. (thank-you to my son Ben)
FYI -- along the way I tried doing the reset sync history, which deleted all contacts from the iphone. I initially thought that was a good thing, until I discovered that nothing I tried after that would put the contacts back on the iphone. Next I restored factory settings on the iphone and set up as a new user, but that didn't work either. Or maybe it did; maybe deleting the groups wouldn't have solved the problem if I hadn't deleted all contacts and reset the iphone first.

  • Music albums purchased in March are no longer in my iPad and iPod after upgrading to iOS 7 why?

After upgrading to iOS 7 all the music albums purchased in March are no longer in the iPad or the iPod although in the iTunes Store are shown as purchased. How I can get them back?

    Your original post:
I upgraded an iPad 2 to iOS 7 and since then SIRI no longer works when pressing the HOME button.  The settings for SIRI has also disappeared in the GENERAL settings.  I have searched and found no posts with this issue!

Perhaps it might help if you posted your model number as it seems unclear which iPad you actually have. Settings>General>About

My ipad has latest iTunes (11.1) but iTunes on my computer (mac 10.5.8) is now no longer compatible with ipad software and cannot sync. The same error message appears saying my computer needs to update software, but my mac has the latest software available (albeit rather old). Can I undo the software update on ipad??? Thanks

Thanks for your response, Niel. Is there no way of removing the last update from my ipad????
    Appreciate your help

It's a good idea to backup your Mac Address Book application and iCal Calendars application from each application. This way you can go back and pull out items if you lose something. I do this everyday.

  • HT4910 My Contacts are no longer available in Outlook 2007 after an iCloud sync.

My contacts have been syncing between Outlook 2007 and iCloud just fine for over a month. Today the contacts are gone from Outlook, but I still see them on my iPhone 5s and on iCloud.com. What happened, how do I prevent it from happening again, and how do I get the Contacts to sync back to Outlook?

    Hello LarryCarlisle
Check out the article below, it will give troubleshooting steps with syncing with Outlook. You will need to check to ensure that the correct add-ins are enabled and no are causing any interference. Also check to see that you are using the latest iCloud Control Panel for syncing those contacts.

  • New user. Need to know where my email contacts are on my macbook pro and how I can make a group email address

New user. Email contacts imported to MacBook pro from PC - but I'm unable to call up entire contact list or to make a group emailing contact.

Assuming you are using Apple's Mail application, contacts are managed via the Contacts application, in your application folder.  As for various addressing methods, including groups, maybe this:

  • My contacts are no longer on my laptop

I have a MacBook, OSX Lion (just installed today), an iPhone 3GS (OS5).  After I synced my phone to my computer, I no longer have any contacts on my computer, but they are still on my phone.  I had "sync all contacts" checked, but it doesn't seem to have worked.  I never had any problems with Snow Leopard, even after my iPhone system was updated.  Can anyone help?  This is a problem.

  • I updated my iPad and all the apps I had bought on my iPad did not sync to my computer iTunes library and are no longer on my iPad. How do I get those apps back without buying them again because they were expensive?

Where did all my apps go?

Yeap, it's another of those "undocumented features" from the Apple cult.  The same thing happened to me even though I backed up to iTunes before upgrading.  I lost everything... apps, music, podcasts and ebooks.
You'll have to reinstall all your missing apps from the app store.  But, don't worry.  It's free.  It remembers that you bought them.  You can even look up past purchases to verify what you bought.  (I don't know how far you can go back since I only bought my iPad last month.)  The pain is that you have to load them individually.
I also had to separately reload all my music, podcasts and ebooks, which I acquired prior to buying my iPad.
It goes to show that the one area in which Apple really beats out Microsoft, is their hype.
Even so, the iPad is great.

  • What are the settings for iPhone, iPad and iMac to sync ical and contacts?

How can I get all three items to sync? What are the settings on the iMac with Lion on board? I put all my stuff on iphone but iMac & iPad do not have the items synced even though I have everything on icloud?

They're asking a question about carrier settings for their iPhone. I think that has everything to do with Apple.
Maybe they did already ask Straight Talk. I've called Straight Talk before... they're not too helpful.
You know, this forum would be much friendlier if people in this forum would quit squabbling, & posting comedic replies, not too mention name calling (like I did), when people are just needing some help.
It's also frustrating that people stick up for the guy who doesn't help, but rather takes the time to post some smart alec reply. Granted, I shouldn't have name-called... some people just frustrate me when they act like that.
Admittedly, there ARE some grey areas when it comes to carrier questions... but let the moderators do their job when someone is asking innappropriate stuff. And if the mods aren't chiming in, then that's a good indication that what the thread is about IS in fact Apple related.

I suggest that no response is made to this duplicate thread.
