Then reset your iPad:

That error usually means that your computer antivirus is blocking the update.
It can also mean that your phone was jailbroken, or your computer was used to jailbreak some iOS device in the past. -

From your description it sounds like your Hotmail account was compromised. Does anyone else know the password and could they have changed it?

My Ipad has been stolen at home.
I've purchase a new one and when trying to restore a backup from I cloud the Ipad showed me a different Apple ID than mine and refused my Apple ID.
Can it be this ID (which is an email adress) is the email of the one having my stolen IPAD ?

OlivierThe appleid its showing you is associated with one of the apps / songs or another purchase that was on the device the last time it was backed up which it needs to download the app / purchase again. It won't be from the person who has your ipad now unless they downloaded it and then your device was backed up afterwords, so only if the backup date was listed as AFTER your device was lost / stolen.

It can' be retrieved. To reset the password:
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

When I open launchpad it freezes everything. I had to restart my computer all over again. When I click apps it won't open. There are lots of things with the same icon.
You can find the serial number either in About this Mc in the Menu bar under the , or it should be on a sticker under the foot of the machine.
If you have the install discs, try booting from them, holding down the c key and then using Disk Utility to check the drive.
You can also boot into Safe mode
To start up into Safe Mode (to "Safe Boot"), do this:
1. Be sure the computer is shut down.
2. Press the power button.
3. Immediately after you hear the startup tone, press and hold the Shift key.
Tip: The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone but not before.
4. Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple and progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
During the startup in Mac OS X 10.2 through 10.3.9, you will see "Safe Boot" on the Mac OS X startup screen.
During the startup in Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you will see "Safe Boot" on the login window, which appears even if you normally log in automatically.

My new ipad mini has been dispatched today by apple but which reference number do I use to track my package on TNT website? Is it the 'PO No' 'delievery number' or the 'additional number'? Is it a combination of all three? So confused!
If this is your Apple ID you will also have to delete your icloud accounts from the ipads and then add them back. It can get messy especially on mac if you have one. Then theres the App Store that will ask for the new one, and icloud mail, etc etc.

So my daughter plugged her ipad into home pc to download music from itunes and it wiped everthing out of her ipad and copied my ipad info from the last time I had mine plugged in. Is there anyway to get her info back like all her pictures?

No, when resetting an iPhone it resets the actual data contained within the phone, nothing on your iCloud will be affected. It is a good idea to use seperate iClouda and iTunes accounts then you can each create your own backups regularly without your daughters backup overwriting yours or vice versa.

I was locked out of my ipad because I forgot the passcode. I have tried the iTunes restart to wipe everything off the ipsd to start over and it is not working.
Here's the Apple support page on this. If the Restpre process doesn't work you need to put your device into Recovery mode. Read through all the steps and follow them carefully.
