My daughter's phone racks up data usage every 12 hours, twice a day, even though she isn't using it. Anybody know why this would be happening or how to track it/stop it?

Mrhelper is corret with regards to making sure that mobile data is turned off when on WiFi or when not connected to WiFi, if you do not want the phone to access data services to update or refresh app services. These applications can all be configured by going to Settings and reviewing all apps that appear in that area. You can also configure a bit further by going to Settings>Cellular.

Is the disk cache and the memory cache enabled?
You can check these prefs on the about:config page.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. 
Your More system details list shows two outdated Flash plugins that you should remove and update to Flash 10.1 r102 or at least remove 10.0 r45 and wait until your distribution offers a 10.1 r102 update.

Verizon is billing me for data I simply DID NOT USE - huge unexplainable usage every 6 hours - and no one can explain it

My wife and I both had iphone 4S' on verizon for years with no issues. My wife recently upgraded to an Iphone 5c and ever since her data usage has gone through the roof. After talking wtih Apple and Verizon countless times and getting no answers, im reaching out to the community.
The issue is very VERY obvious in that our detail usage breakdown shows my wife being charged for some data usage every 6 hours for stuff she never did. And, to make matters worse, my wife is home most of the time connected to wifi!   I don't know what it is, but something, somewhere, which on one can explain, is generating huge amounts of data usage on my wife's iphone 5c ( my phone is fine ). I will attach a sample picture below which shows just one or two days of this, but this happens every dingle day.
I want to upgrade my phone and actually get a third line, but im scared to hit this issue on two more phones. I dont know whats going on here and why no one can give me a straight answer. As far as im concerned verizon is scamming us by injecting this usage and hitting people with overages.
Some points:
     - random usage on a clear 6 hour cycle
     - some of the usage is clearly in the middle of the night when we're asleep
     - MOST of the usage is when the phone is home connected to wifi
     - we have turned off background refresh
     - we reset cell data usage in settings and viewed it the next day, it did NOT show the usage verizon is charging me for
I've seen other posts here and on apple discussion forums with other people having the same exact issue! I want ANSWERS or im going to have to cancel my contract and move to AT&T, which I would really hate to do because other than this verizon has been great! I've also seen some people mention that verizon polls for usage data every 6 hours, can there be some bug there that is making it use WAAAY more data than needed? ( perhaps an intentional revenue generating bug...??? )

I to have ridiculous charges...I went into verizon tonight and talked to a manager about my data usage which is **...I just got the iphone 5c on Saturday......I showed him how the phone says I used data while wifi and cellular data was TURNED OFF.....we reset my data to 0 and he watched me turn on cellular data and I went into my APPADVISOR app ....it is a clean app which uses minimal data compared to the internet...I was in the app 10 seconds and I got out quick and made sure the app was no longer running in the background.....we watched me get charged for 6mb of data in 10 seconds which was not only in my settings , but reflected real time in my verizon app that checks my data usage which is what my billing is based on
...I have unlimited talk, text with my 4gig of data sharing I have with my wife that we pay 70 bucks per phone a month........he then watched me text my brother on iMessage and get charged 16kb....I message should be free of data....we then went to ESPN for another counted 10 seconds and I got charged 4.8 MB.....the manager was dumbfounded by me showing this to him in real time......he stated the following which I hope is not a lie:
APPLE AND VERIZON ARE AWARE AND BEING FLOODED WITH DATA USAGE ISSUES WHICH SEEM TO BE REFLECTING SPIKED DATA CHARGES FOR THE IPHONE 5c and 5s ONLY.......APPLE IS COMING OUT WITH IOS 7.0.5 in the next week to fix these issues.....he gave me his card and he took my information and said if in this billing cycle I go over 4 gig of data, he will eat the overage fee.....we shall see what all transpires in the coming weeks but there is something jacked on apples or Verizon's end with the 5c and 5s phones...

Data Usage went up 3GB in one day!!! Never went over in 6 years!!

To start with, I have a broadband card for my computer. Today I turn my computer on and I have three emails sent yesterday from Verizon. First was 12/11/14 @ 3:53 p.m. 75% warning. 12/11/14 @ 4:27 p.m. 90% warning and 12/11/14 @ 4:49 p.m.was a data usage overage alert!! I went on the site to look at "my verizon" and I'm almost over another GB!!! I looked at the breakdown and it states that I used 2.1GB at 1:15 p.m. on 12/11/14 (which I didn't even have my computer on!!) then on 12/10/14 at 3.27 p.m. I used 1.1 GB on what????????????? Is there a way to know exactly what took that much data usage?? I never go over because I watch what I'm loading etc. If I would want to load a game or something, I would check first how much data I have left. Now I have to pay for this extra data when normally I don't even use all my data. That should accumulate like prepaid minutes on a cell phone. Can anyone help me figure out what happened?? HI, if I did this, then I believe that I cloud would then hold my info which I don't want. Is that the case? The reason is that I'm an old git, therefore used to not giving out info. Would I be right?

Contact Rhapsody to see if they have or plan to release an update for the app. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?

Reboot the TC.. Sometimes you need to reboot the whole network.
This is what comes of Lion and then made worse in Mountain Lion of Apple not spending enough time to fix the bugs.

Ok, the issue seem to be solved. The problem was this:
The many hundred files (raw and xmp per image) have been downloaded by ftp in no specific order. Means - a couple of files in the download queue - both raw and xmps. Most of the time, the small xmp files have been finished loading first and hence the "last change date" of these xmp files was OLDER than the "last change date" of the raw file - Lightroom then seem to ignore the existence of the xmp file and does not read it during import.(a minute is enough to run into the problem)
By simply using the ftp client in a way that all large raw files get downloaded first followed by the xmp files, we achieved that all "last changed dates" of the xmp files are NEWER than the related raw files. (at least not older)
And then LR is reading them and all metadata information has been set / read correctly.
So this is solved.

Firefox will not appear in the Market for most phones with incompatible hardware. You can check if your phone is supported here:

Even on some supported devices, a bug in the Market software prevents Firefox from showing up. This may be related to the fairly recent Android Market app update. If you go to Settings/Applications/Market and choose "Uninstall" you can uninstall the update, and then search for and install Firefox from the marketplace.

Try going to System Preferences>Security & Privacy and under the General tab...
...select "Anywhere". Note that you'll need to use an admin account to access these settings.

I've an iMac with OS X 10.4.11. Sudden email problem: every received email has, after the header, 1 - 2 pages of technical data (e.g., Dkim-Signature, Domainkey-Signature, etc.) I don't know why this now happening, and I don't know how to get rid of it.

I have an iMac using OS X 10.4.11. Beginning several days ago, all incoming emails have, after the usual email header and before the message appears, one to two pages of technical data (e.g., Dkim-Signature, Domainkey-Signature, Content-Transfer-Encoding, etc.). This is similar and more complex that the info one receives when an undeliverable email bounces back. I don't know where this stuff comes from, or how it came, and I don't know how to get rid of it. Any ideas? I'm something of a newbie to computers (um, what's a Tag?).

That just sounds like the mail headers. Most people don't know (or care) about them so they're usually hidden.
Check Mail -> Preferences -> Viewing -> Show header detail
I'm guessing it's set to 'All'. Switch it to 'Default' or None as you prefer.
