My devices are not appearing in iTunes v11

After setting up iTunes 11, my devices are not showing up on the program.

I solved this by restarting my computer.

  • HT1386 Itune 11 on Windows 7 x64 and iPad 2. The device do not appear in Itunes.

    Itune 11 on Windows 7 x64 and iPad 2.
On 3 different PC and 3 different iPad 2 when I installed iTunes 11.1 Windows Autoplay recognise the iPad but iTunes do not.
The device does not appear in iTunes and thus neither synchronisation nor backup are possible.
Reverting to the previous version of iTunes solved the issue.
However with IOS 7 iTunes 11.1 is required and I am back with the same issue. Could you please help?
    Thanks and best regards

If you try syncing with iTunes again, perhaps the phantom album will be erased since it does not exist on the computer.
Have you tried restarting or maybe resetting the iPad to see if the album will disappear?
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • HT1977 Old App purchases are not appearing in itunes 11

I have recently upgraded from iTunes 10.x to iTunes 11 and my old purchased Apps that were not on my ipad but on my computer are not appearing in itunes 11 to put back on my ipad?

I solved the issue. Her profile permissions on the Mobile Applications folder for some reason was set to read only. Once I set the permissions for her user account to Read and Write, I was able to download an App and sync her devices, with the Apps syncing back to her iTunes library

  • Backup device file not appearing in iTunes Device Preferences

While performing 1st time backup for my iPad to iTunes MacBook, the process was interrupted halfway through. As such, I deleted the registered backup file from iTunes Devices Preferences/device/device backup and attempted to reinitiate the backup process. I have to restart MacBook because the iTunes File/Devices turns grey and I am not able to click on it. Restarting gets me to inititiate the back up and transfer purchase. The problem now the device name is not appearing at iTunes Devices Preferences/device/device backup. I am not sure if the backup is successful/complete and if so where is the files? How do I make the file appear so I can transfer the data / apps to my new ipad air via iTunes. Pls help...

  • IPad Group Contacts are not appearing in itunes

I have a Group Contacts app on my ipad mini that syncs with the contacts on my iPad.  I created 4 groups.  I want to import those groups into Outlook.  I tried opening up icloud, select all, export.  Only the 1st contact in that particular group is exported.  I then deleted and reinstalled itunes and my groups are not appearing.

Have had same problem and read many different posts on the discussion boards. Came to my own sort of hybrid solution that's posted below:
    Backup address book.
Turn off syncing to iPhone within iTunes, and then hit Apply to make sure it takes.
Quit Address Book, iTunes, and basically everything.
Go to Finder > Library > Application Support > Address Book … move all folders out of there EXCEPT the Metadata folder.
Go to Finder > Library > Application Support > Sync Services … move everything out of there.
    Reboot computer.
    Open address book.
Open iTunes, connect iPhone, and sync.
NOTE:  I had to play with these steps, and their order, several times to force iTunes to properly reflect what’s in the address book/contacts, but after about the sixth time it worked.

itunes is not connecting any of my devices.

    Hello, Nicola14.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If your device is not recognized by iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below.  Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

  • Apps are not appearing in iTunes

None of my apps are showing up in iTunes. When I click on the app icon in iTunes, it just says apps you have downloaded should appear here and it only gives a link to the app store.  How do I fix this?

Also, from 'Devices', click the 'right arrow' and list of folders on iPad appears.  'Apps' is not there.
Until you posted this - I would have never even looked at this .... but when I click the arrow next to my iPad name under the devices heading - there is no apps folder visible for me either.
Try this. Connect the iPad to the Mac and launch iTunes, right click on the iPad name on the left side bar and select - transfer purchases. See if the transfer process even starts. You can watch the progress bar at the top of the screen to see what's going on. If it looks like the apps transferred - look for the apps again in the Library section of iTunes.
I assume that you are running iTunes 11, like I am - and maybe the fact that the Apps folder is not viable under the iPad's name under the does headings is some sort of bug. I almost never look at that though like I said earlier so I can't remember what it looked like in iTunes 10.

  • CD'S details are not appearing in iTunes

When I put a CD in my PC it appears in iTunes but none of the details are there. It just reads "track 01" etc. Why isnt it displaying the track title, artist name and album title?

    Hey joepa327,
Vista isnt currently supported by iTunes, this link: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305042 gives more information about the compatability.
You can try to goto Advanced>Get CD Track names. These articles: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93952 & http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61068 give more information about the way iTunes works with the track names.
