My document don't print the same color when I print it from PDF rather than InDesign
I have a vector image that don't print the same color when I export it to PDF but the colors are the same on the screen.
How can I be sure to have the same colors as my InDesign original document when I print it as a PDF ?
I use the default settings for High Quality Print

My image colors are over saturated and off in tone when I try to print with Elements 12 but if I take the same image in to iPhoto the colors are much closer to what I see on the monitor. There does not seem to be a way to match the color profile of iPhoto .

Thank you for contacting Epson regarding your Epson Stylus Photo R2880.
We have seen an increase in calls of users using 10.7/10.8 with darkness or color issues. We do know this issue is coming from Adobe programs and they are aware of it and have told customers to test this by printing a photo from Apples Preview program, something other than an Adobe program. So if you right click on a jpeg file and select "open with", choose Preview and make settings here and print, the print should come out more like you are used to seeing. If it comes out normal, then this will tell you the program is the issue and you will need to contact Adobe for a fix or an update.
I subsequently did a color test print with Preview from an exported photo from Lightroom 4. I used Color Sync to manage the color with my icc profile to match the paper. The color came out perfectly. I then printed the picture with LR having the application manage the color and the reds remain washed out with an unacceptable print.
So it looks like the problem is with Adobe, not Epson. -
Develop module, 1:1 and Export don't look the same, color issues

I'm using the last version of Lightroom (3.6 if I'm not wrong) and I'm facing a very uncomfortable issue with the Develop module.
I adjusted precisely every color luminance and saturation so it looks rather good in the Develop preview (set to fit), and did an export...
The preview I worked on and the export simply don't look the same.
I work with NEF files from my NIKON D3100 DSLR on a Mac OSX 10.7 MBP.
This cannot be the external display profile not correctly adjusted since I viewed every pictures on the same screen.
I unchecked every boxes from the presets tab in the settings window.

Please note I didn't activated any lens correction option and adjusted any color. This is the RAW file and its direct export.

I hope this can be corrected or I'm doing something wrong.
A couple of days before today I was using Camera RAW from PS CS5 to correct my NEF and was only keeping exports in JPEG. I decided to use LR 3 on my entire workflow and I'm being skeptical...

EDIT 2 : i just found out the picture has much more acurate colors (relatively to the export ones) in the Library module in fit preview (Loupe I guess)I have the problem on another photo.

Black lines not all showing up the same color when exported as any type file
Hi everyone,
I could really use some help as this is driving me crazy! Whenever I upload my Illustrator file with my logo online or export my logo as any type of file, certain black lines are lighter than others. I checked in Illustrator by clicking the lines that were showing up different shades when exported and all have the same #000000.
Does anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks!Unfortunately my file is set up like a hot mess. Everything is in the same layer and I should have definitely done multiple ones. This is only the second logo I've designed and I'm learning as I go. Basically I did an image trace of the drawing and then went back and manually fixed lines. Instead of having only a few to select I have many all in the same layer as my color.
I noticed my vector logo works fine when exported. It's the files where I am resizing it that are coming up in the different colors. -
Why does Frame 10 print 3 copies of the same chapter when I print a book to pdf?
I am printing a multi-chapter book. The table of contents generates perfectly but when I go to print the pdf of the book, Frame prints 3 duplicate copies of each chapter and TOC. Why is it doing this and how can I turn off this 'feature'? It is a pain to have to keep deleting the chapters from the pdf in Acrobat.

And that could have been set in the application printer dialogs, or in the operating system printer setup/preferences (or both, but then you'd get 9).
It can also be set locally on some printers, but I suspect that's not what's happening here.
Is everything in the book tripled-printed, or just some?
Is it printed cover-toc-body 3 times, or cover-cover-cover, tocx3, bodyx3?
Are other PDFs printing correctly to the same printer (using the same driver)? -

If you are printing to physical printer from Safari : Use Reader print button from Reader toolbar
If you want to save a PDF from Safari to your local : Use Reader Save button from the Reader toolbar.
PS: if you have PDF in read mode the hover the mouse at the bottom of the page and the floating Reader toolbar will appear.

Why do vector objects copied from illustrator cc don't stay the same dimensions when pasted into pho
I think the problem started with the last updates. The normal work flow of copy and paste no longer functions correctly.
Photshop is changing the dimensions of vector artwork copied from illustrator, and pasted to photoshop.
If I start with a 6in x 6in vector shape in illustrator, and select copy, I should be able to go into photoshop, select file and then new,
and the document should automaticly get the dimensions from the clipboard. For some reason that 6in x 6in opens a 0.6in x 0.6in document.
Even if i manually change the document to 6in x 6in, anything else I copy from illustrator larger than 6in x 6in gets its dimensions changed to fit inside the document. I cant copy and paste a 10in x 2in vector into the 6in x 6in document without photoshop changing the dimensions
so it fits inside the document. Any ideas on how to fix? Thanks.illustrator has no dpi, that info wont copy to the clip board. There are setting within illustrator you can set so when you do raster something in illustrator, you can pick what dpi it will raster it to. But even if you raster something in illustrator, the dpi info doesn't copy to the clipboard.
The Photoshop: File, New, opens a window with the default set to pixels and 72ppi. When you have something stored on the clipboard, First you change the pixels to inches, cm, mm, anything but pixels, the dimensions stay locked in and Then you can change the ppi to anything you want.
The issue once the file is opened, and you try to copy and paste in something larger than the canvas still needs corrected. I have found a quick work around. After you paste it, before you select ok or hit enter, look at the info where it displays the % of the size of what's being placed.
It shows it at less than 100%, so change it to 100% (and constrain) and its back to original size. -
When using Firefox to print most documents ( boarding passes, mastercard statements,genealogy documents) the printing only shows on 1/4 of the page, is in the lower left quarter and does not print part of the right side of the information. When I go into Safari and print the same documents within 2 minutes they always print fine. We like Firefox and would prefer to continue to use but if we can't print we will have to use Safari more often
I have the same problem with cutting of the page since installing the new version. If you manually zoom out the print it only shows 1/4 of the page on a whole page of paper. Something is wrong here.
I have done all these steps and it still does NOT print correctly!
I am a IT professional and something is not right with the new firefox browser. Please supply with fix or we will have to permanently switch back to Internet Explorer, which works perfectly. -
I have been having a issue with getting the colors on my monitor to match the colors fro my print lab. I now have the monitor calibrated to match the prints but when I open elements it doesn't use the same colors. If i have it use the calibrated profile by changing the color management settings, the color picker no longer shows true white or black. How do I get elements 12 to honor the new calibrated settings?

Then the last process says "about to call: reboot (RB_AUTOBOOT).
Continuing...

I'm using Photoshop 13.0.1, Windows 7, to print images using custom color profiles made with an XRite colorimeter. However, when I print the image using Printer Manages Color, it is not the same as Photoshop Manages the colors and selecting the Canon ICC profile that (Canon 7200 MP2) that is the same as the printer managed settings. Why are these prints not the same if the same color profile is being accessed??

What happens if you soft proof in Photoshop and InDesign on screen: View > Proof colors. Do you proof with the same profiles, both simulate paper and black on?
I can simulate Proof Colors (working CMYK), but not simulate Paper, both in Indesign and Photoshop.
Problem is: SAME settings in Photoshop and Indesign BUT the image displayed in Photoshop is brighter and more saturated.
So which image should I correct after?

I am using Adobe XI Pro and in various parts of the document there is brown / biege lettering when on the document it shows as black. My printer guy has been in and checked it out top to bottom and that part is fine. I have tried to print the same document and it comes out fine. Any ideas ? Using Windows 7 Service Pack 1

I don't have a wireless printer, and want to print things off of my iPad. I know that I can use the iPad Camera Connection kit to connect USB devices like keyboards and I am wondering if I could do the same with a USB printer.
I don't think you can connect a printer since you won't have the printer drivers. I use FingerPrint from collobos.com to print to my non-AirPrint printers.

When I print a 4x6 color picture using an iMac with the latest operating system using a Canon MX892 printer, faint black lines appear every 3/16 of an inch. When I print the same picture using iPhoto there is no problem. Any suggestions?
What is the resolution of the picture that you are trying to print?
Go to Image>resize>image size, read the resolution in px/in, then report back, please.
Also, are you in a position to try printing with another printer in an attempt to narrow this down? -
