My downloaded music wont go into my library!

i bought it all, but when i try to download it, it wont go to my library! it just... disappears! im not using my original computer i started my ipod with, could that be a problem?

I am having hte exact sami issue... I really just noticed it now. I rebuilt my computer recently and a hand full of downloads will not play. I purchased some of them and others are converted from my personal CD collection. It looks like all my "early" downloads and all the downloads since the rebuild work fine???
The files are visable, they won't add to the library, even when specifically attempted too by file. The format shows Itunes and a double click on the file opens Itunes but nothing plays and no song info is displayed.

  • An album had a bad download and wont sync into my library what can i do

I downloaded an album and the songs all cut off before they are finished. Does this mean that they were bad downloads? When I sync my ipod the new album doesnt get synced to my ipod. What should i do?

It's possible. You can delete the album and download it again to see if that helps.

  • After downloading music and dragging into iTunes I end up with multiple copies of the album on my hard drive. I do have the "copy files into iTunes library" checked. When I try to erase one of the copies I end up with red ! in iTunes library.

Please Help!  After downloading an album and dragging it into itunes I end up having multiple copies of the album on my hard drive.  I do have (under Itunes preferences, advanced) copy songs into itunes library "checked".  I'm sure this is the reason for the multiple copies.  When I try to delete one of the copies of the album and go back to itunes and try playing a song, I get a red exclamtion point next to the song with an error message saying itunes cannot locate file. My questions are, Does Itunes literally make a copy of the song? If so , How do you know which file to delete?

Sony's own entertainment software on the Vaio plays merry **** with iTunes, worse there's no telling when it will kick in.
First head over to the Sony Vaio site and get the update for the software, that will stop it from messing with the iTunes database/library files when you connect your iPod.

  • I tryed to download a movie off of itunes and it downloaded but wont sync into my ipod

i downloaded a movie off of itunes and it downloaded but wont sync it says the ipod is synced with another itunes library do you want to erase this ipod and sync with this itunes library .an ipod can be synced with only one itunes library at a time erasing and syncing replaces the contense of this ipod with the contense with this itunes library does that mean that if i sync the movie it will erase everything on the ipod and only put the movie and if it does can i put it back on with the movie still on it

You can do it by manually managing music and videos. See:
iOS: Issues syncing content with multiple computers using iTunes
If you  have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar.
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions

  • How to get music from iphone into itunes library, that was not purchased via itunes??

Hard drive crashed, I restored my itunes music from a backup, but the backup was not updated, I'm missing music that I have on my iphone playlist, this music I got from a friend, I didn't buy it from itunes. Question: How can I get this musica from the iphone into my itunes library???
    Thank's for the help!!!

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The only exception is itunes purchases.
You may be able to purchase a third party program ( not supported by Apple).

  • I put a different device on my laptop and now its music has synced into my library

My father asked me to charge his 2nd Gen ipod shuffle on my laptop today and as I did itunes opened up and a pop up told me it was sycning, after about 5 seconds it went away and all my dads music appeared in my library. I unplugged the ipod and shut out of itunes and re started it, to find no change. I cant check the ipod yet as it still has no battery. Can someone please help

Bummer. Do as the manual instructs and restore the phone from your backup. The lock screen passcode is not part of the backup.

  • Downloading music wont work

I go into itunes on my apple id to get my songs, and no matter what network or where i am, i just goes into the download tab, and the says [song name] could not be downloaded at this time
[option 1] retry [option 2] ok I WANT MY MUSIC

Reboot your iPad and see if that helps.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
if that doesn't work, sign out, restart and sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Then sign in again.
One thing that should be cleared up - are you using iTunes Match?

  • Ipod charges, but it wont appear in itunes and music wont go into it

If iPod is not recognized in Windows and iTunes AND Add New Hardware Wizard gives the message: "Cannot run two device installations," then is the solution:
    SOLUTION
    MAKE A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT
    THEN
Click Start->Run, type "regedit.exe" in the Open box, and click OK.
    2. Navigate to HKEYLOCALMACHINE\System\Setup"
    3. If there is any key or values named "FactoryPreInstallInProgress", please right click and delete it.
    4. Restart Computer
    THIS WILL DO THE TRICK

  • Downloaded music wont go to itunes from computer

I get an error that says "attempting to copy to the disk HP-Pavilion failed. the file name was invalid or too long"
What do you do to fix this?

    Hi,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Can you elaborate a little more? I don't quite understand what you mean and what your problem is.
From what you have written, I think you should shorten the file name.
    Hope this helps!

  • I cant transfer my songs from old iphone to new iphone wont load into library

I cant transfer my songs from my iphone 3gs to my new 4s they wont load into the library ive tried everything and im stumped

All your media should be in your library. If for some reason this is not the case you should be able to:
Backup the device to the new installation
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the new device from the old backup
This process should switch set up your new device with the data and settings in your apps, assuming that is waht you wanted to achieve.
Might be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all sorted, make a backup!

  • Zen Vision M 30gb, used to be able to download music from I tunes, can't now, need he

I had another computer with I tunes loaded, also used Zen vision M on it along with I Pod, new computer has both products downloaded on it, but for some reason it wont recognize the Zen or let me download music from the i tunes library like i used to. also this computer uses windows vista. Can anyone help

So, you need an older version of the iOS app, because the current version no longer works on your iPod touch.
If you do regular backups of your hard drive (as you should), such as by using Apple's built-in Time Machine (if you use a Mac), you may find the older version of the app in the backup archive, and restore it (replacing the newer version).  They are stored in the iTunes Media folder, in the Mobile Applications sub-folder.  You should then be able to sync the older version to your iPod touch.
I can't think of any other way to get it back...
NOTE:  An 2nd gen iPod touch can run up to iOS 4.2.1.  If your iPod touch is running something earlier, and that is why the app no longer works, you can also consider updating the iPod's iOS.
I use an even older iPhone (original).  I avoid this potential problem by aways updating its apps on the iPhone, not in iTunes on the computer.  When I do it on the iPhone, it will not download a newer version of an app that won't run on my old iPhone.

  • Burning downloaded music to cr-r but discs dont play

    hello
We have an iMac with OSx 10.6.8.
We have been burning music downloaded through soulseek to disc to play in a cd player. It all seemed to be  going ok- but for some reason even a disc that previously played in our Bose wave music system cd will not now play ( in fact its messed up the Bose which wont play any music cd now).
We have been trying to sort out what has gone wrong and have read various online forums where commentators have noted that  you need to make sure that iTunes is set to audio cd, etcetc. We have not used iTunes to burn- we have downloaded music through soulseek into a document folder and have burned to disc from there. Cant find anything there to set for audio cds- it just seems to do it automatically.
We're not sure what we have done wrong.
Not sure how to redo all this from iTunes as we are beginners to all this. Idiots even....
Can anyone explain in words of one syllable how to sort this out?
    Many thanks
    Rarmy.

Providing that your music file's are not protected and of a usable format?
    1. You will need to Import the files from your doc folder into iTunes
see > Adding music and other content to iTunes
    2. Then burn then to usable CDs using iTunes
