I sync my devices with a PC running windows. I have turned on Photo Stream on my PC, iPhone4S & iPad2.
On my PC it creates two default folders in Pictures called "My Photo Stream" and "Upload".
Instructions says that you can add photos to the "Upload" folder and it will automatically upload to your "My Photo Stream" folder and when your devices are connected to wi-fi they will upload to each device and show up in the "Photo Stream" section of Photos.
I was able to upload 50 photos but then I got an error message that applephotostreams.exe has stopped working.
How do I fix?I was having the same problem. Earlier in the week, I was able to drag a few photos to the upload folder and they synced correctly. Yesteday, I dragged different photos, and I got the "applephotostream.exe has stopped working" error.
The solution - for me, at least! - was to reduce the size of the pictures being uploaded to the photostream. While all of the pictures were jpegs, the first set were ca. 800K (3800 x 2500), and the second set were ca. 2.5 MB (4000 x 2000). When I reduced the resolution of the last set by a factor of 4 (ca. 600 K, 2000 x 1500), they uploaded without a hitch.
Based on this admittedly sketchy experiment, it looks like Apple has a max picture size limit, apparently based on file size rather than picture resolution). Perhaps < 1 MB? To be rigorous, I should complete the experiment - leave the resolution of the second set of pictures alone and reduce file size by reducing jpeg quality.
Has anyone heard about a picture file size limit? -
The blackberry stopped receiving email as of Dec 22. it does reeive Registration messages from blackberry. The browser still works. I contacted the provider and the network is functioning correctly. I have deleted the email setup several times and set it up again; I have removed the battery and restarted and reset up the email. This involves a hotmail.ca account. During email setup it checks for update and indicates the mailbox is set up and then it wants to reconcile contacts and that is when the Activation Failed; an error was encountered when sending the activation transmission notice appears. When I use the browser to go to hotmail.ca and login, I can see all my email up to date and then an error message pops up indicating, Server Certificate Warning and when I select Details; it inidcaes untrusted certificate; unable to determine certificate's origin; when I view the certificate it identifies X h.live.com Untrusted Certificate Chain; Stale Chain Status etc... It's like the hotmail.ca or live.com is corrupted...how do I fix it. The only thing I have not doe is to use the Security tool to Wipe email. Any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.

My home button has stopped working, and now i cant get siri to stop popping up
all the suddon one day my home button stopped working. its never been dropped or gotten wet. i just got the phone less than a month ago.
now siri pops up out of nowhere and when im doing something, like on an app, it will glitch and go to the home screen. its almost like the home button is stuck. its getting to the point where i cant do anything with it. i have already restored the phone multiple times. i have apple care. do you think that apple would replace my iphone 4s?Apple might. I'm not a genius on Apple Care though.
But if you go to a Genius bar, the guys there might be able to fix it for you.
In the meantime, try pressing the home button really hard. It may pop up.

Twitter has stopped working and now shut off anytime I open it
I reset the iPhone, my iOS is upgraded, I deleted and re-installed twitter but still not working. It has been working for just few days(2). No idea what else to try...pls help!!!!!
They just published an update to the app. Download it and try again.

I think my ITunes has crashed- I have reinstalled twice but still get same error message 6034 and Error7 Windows,was told it might be library files not ITunes directly.Should use restore point, but I've never done that before and is permanent...don't want to make matters worse or screw up everything else with restore button....It is restore point from Nov. Anyone have a solution for me? Thnx for your help.
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Firefox suddenly stopped loading up. If it did start loading it would freeze as soon as the window opened and would not close down. I have tried uninstalling firefox and reloading it but the same problem occurs. I have also tried uninstalling, deleting all firefox files and reloading but the problem is the same. I noticed after reloading firefox would attempt to start the first time but would not even open after first attempt

Get an error message "Email has stopped working" and it closes.
I am frustrated at this point, when I proceed to open a new email or view ones already there, it takes forever to open then another long time to download. Download takes too long and it gives me this error message. Anyone having this issue?
We don't want to see you frustrated, AlejandraTx. What type (Yahoo, AOL, etc) do you have set up with your email application? Do you have this same trouble accessing your Gmail email as well? Are you able to open the email account through your phone's web browser with ease? The suggestion from Snn5 is also a great place to start.

My boyfriend and I share an apples account for a while now. I would get messages from his phone he would get mine. We would text on that ID but now it's acting up. It doesn't let him send me messages, it sends it to him twice. I use the email but he uses the #. Does anyone know what to do?
The idea to jumpstart by change was not the smartest one, but gives you an opportunity to use that "temporary" account as permanent. You do not have a choice cause obviously despite you thinking that old account is no more -it does exist on Apple servers. And if you are unwilling to share your [email protected] with friend, just create one extra [email protected] for your friend. One suggestion - do not use gmail.

I deleted Bonjour since I don't need it for remote printing. Now on start-up I get the message: "Airport Base Station Agent has stopped working" and also message: "can't find APAgent.exe.: Do I need AP Agent?? What to do?? Thanks.
The APAgent monitors your AirPort base station and informs you if there are things like firmware updates available. This utility relies on Bonjour, but is not required for base station operation. However, Bonjour makes it easier for your PC to "find" the base station via the AirPort Utility and I would recommend that you keep it installed. If you don't want the APAgent, you can just use the Apple Updater utility (that was also installed when the AirPort Utility was installed) to remove it.

The ringer switch on the side of my Iphone 4S has stopped working and the phone is now turning itself on and off silent without me touching any buttons. Will this be covered under warrenty? I have had the phone for less than a year. Although I have had the screen replaced, and wondered if this may void the warrenty?
Yes, the screen replacement (I am assuming by you our a 3rd party) voided your warranty.

The deck is ION TTUSB05XL Laptop Asus V550C with Windows 8.
Strangely I did manage to successfully transfer two tracks to iTunes, but all further attempts have failed.

My centre button has stopped working and my top lock button has stopped working too. I've had this iPhone 2 years now, can I take it into apple and swap for another phone or am I not covered? Thanks
The standard Apple warranty is 1 year. I believe you can purchase AppleCare+, which extends the warranty to two years from the date of purchase. This extended warranty needs to be purchased within 30 days of the purchase date for the phone.
If you have the extended warranty, you may be able to get a replacement phone at no cost. You will need to make an appointment at an Apple Store Genuis Bar and have them take a look at the phone.
If you did not purchase the additional warranty coverage, you should be able to purchase an Out-of-Warranty replacement, which is $199 for the iPhone 4S.
