my entourage just dropped out and also left the doc.....I have tried to get it in applications but it just keeps going round in circles wanting to relaunch.
Where has it gone and how to I get it back....I have two years worth of emails and details on it which I use for the charity I run.
Help please....not too technical

I have been using Firefox as my browser, but haven't had a toolbar. I tried to use Verizon's toolbar, but that keeps throwing me back to Internet explorer 9, which I don't want to use, and asks me to use I.E 9 as my default browser. All I want is to use a toolbar with FF ( preferably verizon toolbar, but would use FF toolbar as well), and I can't seem to get one without having to use Int. Exp. 9. Any ideas as to what I can do to get a toolbar on my FF browser?

Bingo. Thank you! I encoded them in "Apple lossless" when I originally uploaded. Among other things, the files were huge - I'd never noticed. (It didn't matter on my big old 40 MB, now playing in the Choir Invisible...) - I just changed the settings to convert it to (some other format) when it uploaded to the Shuffle, and everything is now fine.

This was driving me crazy. Sync between Outlook 2007 and my iphone was working perfectly on ios 6 - I primarily sync Calendar, contacts, and notes.
Then everything went bizerk with ios 7... All of a sudden nothing was getting syncronized, but rather multiple Calendars and Contacts showed up in Outlook 2007. Disabling Calendar, contacts, and Notes in my iphone's icloud settings did the trick. Now I have ONE Calendar and ONE contact list in Outlook, fully in sync with my iphone. -

I'm to install Yosemite but it tells me the disk need to be repaired. When I verify the repair disk button remains pale and in-clickable. I'm not sure which version of OS X I'm running but I do know I forgot to back up. Help me o-message board, you're my only hope!
Welcome to Apple Support Communities
First of all, open the Apple menu -> About this Mac, and tell us what OS X version you have.
If it is 10.6.x, you need the Snow Leopard DVD. Insert it, press the C key while your Mac is starting up, choose your language and go to Utilities menu (in the menu bar) -> Disk Utility.
If it is 10.7.x or higher, hold down Command and R keys while your Mac is starting up to boot up in OS X Recovery, and open Disk Utility.
After opening Disk Utility, choose your OS X partition in the sidebar (it is usually named "Macintosh HD") and press "Repair Disk". When it has finished, restart your Mac, make a backup of your files and try upgrading to OS X Yosemite.
The backup will help you in case you decide to go back to the OS X version you are using now. If you cannot make a backup and the disk repair does not work, you will have to format the hard disk. -
Please help! How can I download them without paying for them again. If I view my download history, they show up, but if you click on them, the option is to buy them, rather than play or download.
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting those two tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find those songs and use the 'Report a Problem' link. -

Sorry but this may seem very long winded,
After receiving two letters from BT (one in january and one in february) stating that I 'will be upgraded to infinity' and should 'call to arrange an appointment' I did so and booked an appointment for 28th feb. I was not available for the install but my partner was home. On 28th feb, I had infinity installed, only for my partner to call once the engineer had finished to say that he has had to put the modem and hub in our kitchen (front of house facing street), I knew then that we had FTTP installed but was not told of this at any point prior to this, if I had known it was FTTP I would not of upgraded. my existing Master socket is at the rear of the house and was where my hub used to be so i have all my wired devices near the master socket, I am no longer able to use these devices as the hub is at the other end of the house and can now only use the broadband over wifi. After coming home from work on 28th feb, I called BT to change back to my original Total Broadband package as FTTP was not suitable for my property and i'm not able to use any wired devices without running Cat5 cables throughout the house. I was told that the order was not yet completed so they could not yet change back over and that they would contact me next day 1st march to sort this. Next day I had a call from BT to say that they couldn't do anything at the minute as they had system problems and somebody would call on monday (4th march). On 4th march I was again called by BT only this time to be told they I had to contact another department who could help with this. I then called the number which they gave me explained the situation again, the person on the phone then told me that they would get me back to Total Broadband and continued to take details and tell me which package I would be put back onto, nearing the end of the call they then told me that the system would not allow them to complete the change over and that they would put it on my notes for somebody to call me back the next day. Next day came and went, no phone call. I then waited until 9th march with still no call and decided to ring up again. I again went through the whole issue and was told that they would get me changed back over, I was then told that it now all being changed back and that I would be back on Total Broadband on 18th march. The 18th march came and i tried my hub in the existing BT master socket to be disappointed that there was no broadband on the line, i waited until the next day and tried again, still no broadband. so on 19th march i called again to ask why i was not changed over, to be told that the change had been cancelled for an unknown reason and that they would again have to get somebody to call me back the next morning (20th march) to sort it out. So today i waited for a phone call with no avail. once i arrived home from work I decided to call again, I was then told that this issue was being dealt by the project team and would be contacted within a week. I am not extremely annoyed with all of this as I have now got a service that I can only use via wifi, a kitchen cluttered with a hub and modem and a whole list of different excuses as why BT is unwiiling to get this matter resolved! Is it really that difficult to get me changed back to a usable service that I had before?Yet another update,
So I got an email back earlier from complaints as i said in previous post, as soon as i got back home from work I called it. Spoke to the first person who put me through to Options, again I told them my problems and they looked through my notes and told me that they couldn't help and transfered me to another department. I then went through all my issues yet again and again was told I needed to be transfered to another department to downgrade. I got put through to Options (where i'd previously been transfered from) this time I got told that they could downgrade me but need to speak to a different person in Options, so again transfered to someone else. This time they said that they will do it, started giving me the details of the new package and was just about to give me a date when they said that because of a technical issue with the way my account was set up they could not continue. Was then told that the order will be handed to the offline team and will be contacted (no time scale given). So annoyed right now!!!!! -

Try to backup and restore you device in itunes...restoring the device is like removing the iOS software off the device and re-add in a newer software, after you have restore you device, MAKE SURE YOU SET UP YOUR DEVICE LIKE A NEW DEVICE, DONT NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP!!... give the device a chance to use the newer software and see if the issue still persisting, if the issue still on going then its would be a hardware issue.
Call Apple Care and see if your device is still under warranty to get it replace -

How to Create a Bootable Flash Drive to do a clean install of Lion. I have tried to use the InstallESD.dmg but it still will not do a clean install so that I do not have to do a reinstall from the Recovery (That just re downloads and takes over 6 hours)?
The system I'm have is a Mac-mini that had SL on it and no SuperDrive. I have also call Apple Support and they have really have not been to much help over 1st did my up grade to Lion and Installed the Lion Server.... it lost my SSL that I paid for and kill almost on of my server setting, plus kill all my web servers (using apache vhosts), and not to say the LDAP will even let remote users login to your laptops.
PS: There is no way that I'm going to buy a Install USB from Apple... They have over billed me over $300.00 because the Apps Store still has bugs (Glad I did not write that App/Service)

If you ever had problems with your Mac OS X installation you know that the first thing you should do is to check the startup volume using Disk Utility.
After the check has ended and, if the errors exceed a certain level of seriousness, the Disk Utility application will require you to restart your Mac and use its Mac OS X Install disc counterpart.
Other users may have to reinstall OS X altogether, but will find, or already know, that their SuperDrive (a CD/DVD reader and write combo drive) is not functioning properly and it will not be able to read the Install disc.
Although this might happen to Mac OS X Leopard users due to faultyhardware, the vast majority of problematic SuperDrives will be encountered inside Snow Leopard running Macs.
This is due to the updated SuperDrive firmware included in either the Install disc or the software updates one has to install to reach the latest version of OS X, namely 10.6.6.
This can be fixed by flashing the SuperDrive’s stock firmware using free command line tools that one can find for free online (I will write about this process also, but at a later time because this article only focuses on allowing you to create your own alternative USB boot disc).
If you are reading this last bit of information with skepticism, than you should know that it happened to me too. Despite all my tries to make it work properly, the SuperDrive kept on munching any inserted DVDs and just popped them out in about twenty seconds.
The workaround to this issue was to create my own Leopard bootable USB memory stick. I am not suggesting a Snow Leopard bootable stick mainly because there are lots of users that have decided to buy the cheaper, Upgrade version, which I have not tested and, therefore, I’m not sure if it will work properly once written to a USB disk.
And now, here are the exact steps you should follow in order to obtain a fully bootable Leopard (or Lion) Install disc.
Step 1 (If you already have the Leopard install disc DMG file you can skip to Step 2)
Launch Disk Utility (you can find it inside /Applications/Utilities). Here select the Leopard Install disc in the list of drives on the left and click on the New Image menu entry at the top of the window. A save message will appear where you will have to select the Desktop as a destination.
Step 2
After Disk Utility has finished creating the Leopard DMG, insert your USB stick and erase all data and reformat the disk. To do this select the USB in the list of drives on the left and, after clicking on the Erase tab on the right side of the window, choose the Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format and click the Erase button beneath.
Step 3
After the USB has been reformatted, download the SuperDuper app from HERE and launch it. Once SuperDuper starts, you will only have to select the DMG in the Copy drop-down menu, your USB memory stick on the right and hit the “Copy Now” button.
One can also use Disk Utility for this task but creating a bootable USB stick failed 2 out 4 times when copying the DMG to the stick (with the exact same settings each time). Creating the bootable stick using SuperDuper proved to be the perfect way to do it because it worked each of the 4 times I tested it.
The steps above can also be used to create a bootable Mac OS X Lion USB by using the InstallESD.dmg image you can find inside the Lion installer (named “Install Mac OS X Lion.app”) downloaded from the Mac App Store in the /Applications folder.
To locate the InstallESD.dmg right click the Lion installer, select the “Show Package Contents” entry, go inside the “Contents” folder, and from there into the “SharedSupport” folder. Inside this folder you can find the InstallESD.dmg you can use to create your own bootable Mac OS X Lion USB stick. To do so, go to the third step described above and use the InstallESD.dmg as the DMG to be copied to your USB disc.
That’s it! Once the process ends you will have a fully bootable Leopard (or Lion) USB disk that you can use as an alternative to the Apple’s DVD Install disc that comes bundled with all Macs.
To use your newly created bootable disk you will have to restart the Mac, press and hold the OPTION key until the StartupManager appears. Here, select the Mac OS X Install disk using your keyboard arrows and press return to start from the selected drive.
