My Events Suddenly appears empty

After I finish editing a photo, when I click back on the event name, the event appears empty.
When I go back to all events, and then click on the event, it remains empty
When I switch events within an event, using the arrows at the top right, the event repopulates.
If I close iPhoto and re-open it repopulates.
Anyone else experience this?

Ok, so this is iPhoto '11 (9.1.3) showing an Event that actually has 280 photos in it. Notice anything missing? Jump out of Full Screen mode. Even the buttons in the top-right corner to change Event aren't working properly, because they're not white and clickable.

Mapped network drive appears empty for all users on one computer

We have several network drives mapped via a batch file at log in. On one particular Windows 7 computer one of these drives maps but appears empty. Manually mapping to the drive and assigning a different drive letter makes no difference but manually
mapping by entering the IP address allows viewing and accessing the contents.
The malfunctioning network drive is also using Hosted BranchCache. The following settings are set in local group policy:
(\Network\BranchCache)
Turn on BrancheCache - Enabled
Set BranchCache Hosted Cache Mode - Enabled - <servername>
Configure BranchCache for network files - Enabled - 0
The servers involved are running Windows Server 2012.
I am at a loss here and will appreciate any suggestions.

With Offline Files disabled the contents of the mapped drive are visible and accessible. Unfortunately, Offline Files must be enabled for BranchCache to work.
Looking in the Event Viewer at “Applications and Services Logs\Microsoft\Windows\OfflineFiles\Operational” I can see that the mapped network drive transitioned to slow link during high latency but has never transitioned back.

How can I stop Exchange calendar event copies appearing in drafts?

I use Outlook 2010 on a Windows machine at work. On my MacBook I use Outlook 2011 and have the Exchange calendar configured for iCal. Sync'ing works fine, except this one annoyance.
Since upgrading to Mountain Lion copies of existing, repeating calendar events keep appearing in my Outlook drafts folder. Every few days I have to empty it, sometimes from 50 event copies or more.

I too, was experiencing this. There seems to be no indication of a solution anywhere on the web. HOWEVER, I figured it out.
Here's the solution: Strangely, it's not really an exchange issue, but rather an issue with calendaring on the OSX side.
So you understand, here's the configuration that can cause problems:
you are using an exchange server to connect your email/calendar/notes/tasks...
You use a PC (or VM PC) for some/most of your exchange/outlook activities
You may or may not have MS Office 2011 (Mac) installed.
You have one or more Apple devices connected to your exchange account (iPhone, iPad, any Mac)
After installing Mountain lion, you start noticing events being magically duplicated every few minutes in your outlook draft folder. If you delete an event, another one takes its place.
HERE IS THE FIX:
Short answer: Sync all calendars on all devices
On the apple side (OSX, IOS) you MUST turn on calendar sync in all the exchange accounts on all your devices. I thought I had, then discovered that my MS Office Outlook on my Mac was missing that sync. It doesn't seem to matter which apple device is missing the sync, it only takes one of them. Once you set calendar sync to "on" for all the apple devices that access that calendar, just like magic, the phantom multi event creation stops.
You should check all MS products on the OSX/IOS devices AND all apple devices that allow syncing. I haven't turned on notes sync through the cloud, so that isn't one of the items that cause problems.
If you do this and the multi still appears, you missed something on one of your apple devices.

Sync Icon On my Top Menu Bar Suddenly Appearing !

Hi,
After 3 weeks of Lion, Icloud and Ios 5 Update, I notice the sync Icon on my Top Menu Bar. On clicking it it shows me SYNC NOW option.
What is this for ? It was never there earlier and I have not changed a single setting & not done any recent updates either. Why is this suddenly appearing. On Googling for the same it shows only how to remove it by Option Dragging it off... But does not say how to get it back. Do i need this ?
The only change I Notice just yesterday when I saw this Sync Symbol, is that on adding or deleting Calendar events on my Iphone, I would have to launch iCal on my Imac Earlier to see the updates. But now even though iCal is off (QUIT), it automatically launches and updates the entry. This is great but I only want to know how is this all happening automatically since just yesterday.
On my other User profiles it is not hapening automatically and the sync icon is not visible !

you can remove the sync icon by holding down the command key and then drag the sync icon from your menu bar

Mailboxes appear empty from time to time

Dear all -
I have a recurring issue with my mailboxes in Apple Mail, and I wondered if anyone else had experienced the same thing.
From time to time, all my mailboxes will suddenly appear as though they are empty. Or rather, the number of unread messages, if any, will correctly appear next to the mailbox name in the side panel, but clicking on the mailbox shows nothing in the message list panel. It's totally blank. This happens for all mailboxes in all accounts - Inbox, Sent, local or server folders, POP and IMAP accounts, and all RSS feeds.
Restarting Mail will correct it, but is there anything else that might work? As far as plugins go, I have Letterbox (currently disabled) and MailTags (v2.2.3; latest version). While I could troubleshoot the plugins by disabling them, it could be days before the problem recurs, so it's tricky to be sure what's causing it.

I think most plugins, if problematic, need to be fully uninstalled, and not merely disabled.
Very odd for this to happen, but cure itself with merely a restart, etc.

Calendar events never appear but are still there, just hidden soomehow

A new problem has popped up and it's a weird one.
Suddenly any calendar events I add never appear.
Before, i'd get a green dot on a date indicating a meeting or something was set. Not anymore.
If I set a event and save it, no green dot.
If I go to the events button immediately after saving one, it says my schedule is free.
If I do a search for the event I just saved, nothing comes up.
But:
I still get the notice on the screen to remind me of the event (it's usually 24 hours before) and my alarm still goes off an hour in advance just as it was saved.
This is a problem.
I cannot check events I saved and if necessary change them or know they are upcoming because nothing appears. It also means I won't be notified if I set an event that conflicts with another. This I know for sure because when the problem arose I set the same appointment six times and was not once informed it conflicted with a saved event (that was aced numerous times before) in the end I (correctly) guessed it was actually saved, just not appearing. But this has to be fixed.
This is new. It didn't do this a few weeks ago, and I have not done anything unusual with my blackberry, unless it updated the OS w/o my knowledge and messed it up. I cannot be the only one experiencing this, but what fixes it!?
Crazy problem

Local calendar (set as home with an orange dot) and my name under my email address (green dot)
I never set these up, it appears to have been a default setting. I only discovered these settings when I was trying to investigate the problem. Home (orange dot) was OFF and my name under my email address was set to a green dot and ON. Now, to get my events to appear I must have the home orange dot on. If I turn it off my events go away even though my green dot next to my name has always been on. If I look on my calender I can see this weird setting change took place someplace a week ago because up until days ago, the green dots are all over my calenders and now only an orange dot will appear, so somehow the calender has begun to ignore my email and my name as what was once a default (that I never set up myself)

Itunes library appears empty

I have about 5GB of music but all of a sudden my itunes library appears empty... I am pretty sure the music is still in my computer but I can't access it.

do you know where on your machine the files are at (start in "my computer", then into your hard drive, and so on)??? If you do then make sure that the directory that itunes has for your music is the same as where they are actually at. If you can't find them do a search for "all files and folders" using an audio extension such as .mp3 or .aac and see if you can locate where they are at.

After all event queue be empty

I know events are added to event queue from application thread or background thread (using Platfrom.runlater() ) . but I find out when some events add to event queue , UI dosent upadate until the event queue be empty (all events be handled ). My question is what object update UI after all event handled and more information about it .

QUEUE_NOT_EMPTY--> There are incompletely processed OCS requests in the tp buffer.
Use the following tp command to display these requests-->
tp SHOWBUFFER <SID> -D SOURCESYSTEMS= TAG=SPAM
You can continue processing the queue as soon as these requests have been processed completely, or deleted from the tp buffer.

you probably forgot to confirm last SPAM or SAINT application.
go into SPAM and choose CONFIRM
go into SAINT, and choose FINISH

It appears that already some support pack update is in process. So check tcode SPAM or SAINT and see whether anything is running.If it is running wait for it or see whether it is asking for confirmation.. then u need to confirm the queue.
Also you can go to tcode SPAM and see display/define tab and see whether anything is available over there..if you are sure u dont want to import the ones in the queue,then just delete the queue using trash icon over there..

All day event not appearing in month view

If I know there is an all day event on a day and I click into it from month view it is there. But for some reason I cannot see any of them from moth view. There is no colored or gray bar indicating an event.
There is one in week view. And if there is a timed event it appears in month view.
In a separate, and puzzling, event I lost all my events. Putting them back in, but not sure if this happened with 1.4 or new Facebook update.

There is an old thread on this issue. Its by design that all day events do not show up in month view and not a bug. Many users (myself included) would like this to change. I suggest using the feedback and feature request page to let them know.

MacBook Pro says "startup disk full" and that I have 58GB of photos, but folder appears empty

For the past couple of days, I've been getting the message that I'm unable to save/download something because the startup disk is full. I checked the storage and the main problem appears to be 58.7 GB of photos, even though I've deleted all photos I could find (including iPhoto). I checked all of the folders on Finder, only to find my picture one taking up most of the space, but when I tried to view what was inside it appeared empty, and it wouldn't let me move the folder to trash. Any help on how to delete the contents of the folder?

Messages in Inbox suddenly are "empty" HELP!

I'm on a different wireless network than usual. Opened up laptop this evening. First, Inbox appeared empty so I shut down computer and restarted. Then, messages poured into Inbox but when I click on them, the screen is completely blank.
This is not gmail or another kinds of web-based email program but my own domain, the Mac version of Outlook...forgot what its called. Checked with remote email program and messages are there so they are not REALLY erased, just inaccessible currently on my laptop.
I checked and the emails open in Sent.
Could this be related to the wireless network I'm on? It is accessible only to me and possibly one or two other families but is not password protected.
Uh...any ideas???

Bridge suddenly appearing in Russian instead of English

By opening Bridge (CS4) yesterday, it suddenly appeared in Russian, instead of English. How to change this back?

It was my understanding that one could not change the language from the purchased edition, so like I say this is odd.
I would reset the preferences to factory defaults and see if that gets it back to English. To do this close Bridge and then press and hold the Ctrl key and start Bridge. You should get a reset window with 3 options. Choose all 3.

Issue: installed Adobe Reader XI, Norwegian version, existing pdf will not open or appear empty

I have uninstalled and reinstalled a number of times, but I still have the same issue. Adobe automatically gives me the Norwegian version as I live in Norway. When I open existing pdf files they appear empty, and automatically close themselves after a few seconds.
Any idea how I can solve this problem?

Events not appearing across event-spanning days in ip 3gs

Can you help pls
I have a 3gs syncing via excange server. seems generally ok but events spanning several days do not appear in the iphone - just the start entry (eg in an event spanning 5 days, just appears in iphone on first day). The full event does appear on teh wbe or exchange version correctly, and the event itself, although not appearing in teh individual days correctly, is correctly entered - if I try to edit the event on iphone it does appear as a 5 day event.
Any ideas please - or wheer can I get help?
