I have tried plugging it in and holding the sleep/wake button and home button at same time and all it does is gives me the "slide to power off" option. Is there anything I can do??? Please Help!

iTunes will need to be set up on your computer however you can set up a new Apple ID to use for your iPhone. Really all you need to do is Assign a new Apple ID to your iCloud account.

After you do that, on the device you want to assign a new iCloud account go: Settings > iCloud > Delete Account and then sign in with the new Apple ID.

This simply gives iCloud a place to sync the individual devices information and will stop iCloud form merging all the information, such as contacts, with all of your devices. -

Your are likely to find running two different AppleIDs on the same device to be more trouble than it is worth. Apps and content cannot be shared between IDs.

since I did the update to OS5 I can't update any apps on my iphone4 and also had to make a new account before it would do the update. now it won't let me sign in to my original itunes and tells me the password is wrong and I know it isn't.

Sorry but no. You will need to get access to a computer with iTunes somewhere to restore the iPad. You can get help with this at an Apple Store if you have them in your area. Note that if you haven't backed up your iPad to iCloud, you'll lose all your data. Apps and other purchases from the iTunes Store can probably be re-downloaded.

That's because the device has not been synced to that computer. As per my earlier instructions... you will have to force it into recovery mode & restore as a new device.

After setting up an "Exchange" mail account on my device, iPad/iPhone, it requires a new passcode to be set before data will be downloaded. I did this on the iPad and now have to enter that passcode everytime I turn it on. How do I avoid needing to enter a passcode on my iPhone everytime I turn it on?
The passcode is a requirement set by the administrator of the Exchange server you are connecting to.
It is purely for security purposes.
If you do not want the passcode, you must remove the Exchange account. There is no way around it. -

When the first ipad came out i set it up and created an itunes account, since then she got an iphone and an ipad and everything was good. I had an android but wanted to try out the iphone. When i set it up ut jumpled all of our contacts, apps, and everythin. it was a mess.
Since, i purchased and ipad 2 and an iphone and to keep our stuff from combing i used a different computer and created an new apple ID for myself so our info wouldnt combine, I was wondering if i did the right thing or if i should have went about it a different way. I was going to see if there was a way when she purchased a song i could get it. I dont want to pay for the same song twice and only want to share songs. I don't know what the rules are about transferring to your spouse but I do know that in some cases when you die, your heirs cannot inherit your digital media. This is why there is still an advantage to buying the CD since the usage rights belong to whomever holds the physical media.
A possible workaround is to burn the songs to a music CD with yout account (tracks only without song titles) and then having your wife upload it as a regular music CD onto her account. It's been a while since i've done this so I'm not sure if it would work now.
Please note that I'm not advocating copyright and/or TOS violations. I'm only suggesting ways to copy music for your own personal use which has traditonally been permitted. I only did this because I wanted to convert iTunes songs to mp3 files so I could burn them onto a data CD for use in my car. It would make sense that since married couples are a joint entity, this would be personal use.
Also, I'm not a lawyer so don't take this as legal advice. -

The issue I am having is that on my current iPhone, there are purchases made under both accounts. When trying to backup my phone, I am forced to chose one account and risk losing everything on the other (purchased music and apps). Is there anyway I can combine accounts?

surely they get a seperate cloud ID that syncks with MY ADDRESS BOOK and all its other address books within.
