My grandkids are visiting us in NJ from another state, but they can't connect to our WiFi. How do we get them to connect
I know I have a WiFi connect, because I checked with Verizon to confirm the User ID, Password, and Encrypt Type, but our grandchildren can't seem to connect with the iPad Touch, or our son with his iPhone. Advice, anyone?
Have you ever successfully connected anything to your wifi router? Is your network name being broadcast by the router? Is your network name showing up on their devices as available wifi signals? What happens when they click on your network name in the available signals on their device(s)? Are they typing in the correct password, keeping in mind the password IS case sensitive.
Not much help we can give with the limited amount of information you have provided.

Oh no, Robinbird18! This is not what we like to hear about your cell phone. It makes it pretty hard to have a conversation with someone when you can't hear them. If you make a phone call out are you able to have a conversation with someone without any issues? How long has this been going on? go to settings and sign out his apple id in the sections i tell you:
1.game center
2.itunes and appstore
3.messages
4.icloud(delete acount;it wont realy delete it will only remove from your ipad)
5.facetime
and then enter your icloud in each and every section -

Sync it the same way you got it on the device to begin with.

Question
I "upgraded" to FF5 and now have no refresh or stop icons in the menu bar, nor are they available on the "personalize" menu. How do I get them back?The idea is that the button on the end of the location gar is smart and changes between being a stop or a reload button. It is a stop button whilst loading and a reload button once loaded.
The buttons can be dragged off the customise menu, or if they are already on the toolbar they may be re-positioned, they combine depending on the order they are in, separate them or move them so they swap places, instead of docking with the location bar. -

So long as the deleted files have been backed up to Time Machine then they will be there for you to acces in the following manner:
From the Time Machine icon in the Menu Bar click and hold to expose the drop-down menu. Select "Enter Time Machine". [The Time Machine volume must be attached to your Mac, of course, otherwise this procedure will not work.] Once you are in Time Machine go to the date when you remember the file being on your internal drive; you can also do a Search for the file name. Once the file has been located you highlight it and click "Replace" and the file will be replaced; if a file of the same name is in the exact same location you will be presented with the option to replace or keep both. -

Hi there,
each time I visit a website, FireFox saves a thumbnail of all these sites for the "New Tab Page". Those thumbnails are cached in the 'thumbnails' Folder . That's so far ok for me.
The problem is:
Every time if I use the "New Tab Page" (...after shutdown & reopening the browser and only with 'mousehoover' on any thumbnail) all the thumbnails on that page don't use the cached thumbnails from the local profile folder.
This means:
Instead of using the cached thumbnail-files all(!) these thumbnails dials to their origin websites without(!) a mouseclick on any of these thumbnails (...see jpg pictures) !

So, i can't believe that this homedialing of pinned and unpinned thumbnails should be a normal function.

The Browser Version is Firefox ESR 31.2.0 and in the installation are no Add-ons, which are - for example - prefetching linked websites.
I would like to use the "New Tab Page" without 'homedialing', so the question is:

I just got my Outlook Calendar onto the iCloud . . . previously it was synced often from the laptop onto the iPhone not as often on the iPad. Almost immediately I saw that the calendars on the pad and phone were working perfectly, so I downloaded the iCloud control panel, went through the steps, and now the laptop Outlook has emptied. I am afraid to sync as the calendar information on the phone and pad might disappear. What do I do?
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Did you not make sure your backup was current before updating?
If not, then you can transfer iTunes purchases from an advice: File>Devices>transfer Purchases

As the title says. I've lost all of my contacts, from both phones and icloud.
That's the way things are supposed to work...all devices using the same iCloud account are kept in sync. You delete on one device, & it deletes on all, including iCloud. Unless you have a backup that contains your contacts, or they are in a supported application on your computer, they are gone.
You should have deleted the iCloud account, on the iPhone 4, before giving the phone away. -
I upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 and now I can't find my bookmarks. How do I get them back?
My new computer has Windows 7 on it. My old computer had Windows XP. I have my old hard drive from my old computer, but even when I connect it to my new computer, I can't find my Firefox bookmarks. I can only find my Internet Explorer favorites. Any idea how I can retrieve my bookmarks?

I upgraded my Iphone 4 to os7 and not all of my application icons are visible. I can locate them using the search feature but I would like to have the icons visible on my screen for imediate access. So how do I do this?
They got pushed to another page of the Home screen. Scroll from left to right to find them. You can then move them to where you want them.

I am facing a big problem. I need to upgrade from OS X 10.5 to Lion BUT I need to upgrade to Snow Leopard first. They have stoped shipping to Greece and I am not able to find it anywhere (even Amazon does not ship this product here!!!) What I am supposed to do? Erase and install Lion from the USB Flash Drive version that's available on the online store.
Use the Migration Assistant to import the data, if you are certain everything is compatible with Lion. Read this user tip to determine if it might be incompatible:

Just updated to OSX 10.9.2 at invitation of Apple, but find I now have no access to iphoto and all prior photos in my Mac are gone. It says iphoto isn't compatible with this version. All other prior documents, podcasts, music etc is intact. Where are the photos?
iPhoto versions older than 9.5 are incompatible with Mavericks. Version 9 or later should be eligible for a free upgrade to the current version in the App Store. Versions older than 9 will need a paid upgrade.
