My hard drive crashed and I lost Firefox beta4.11. Where do I find a link to download beta 4.12?
I was using and communicating back re: Firefox beta 4.11, until my hard drive crashed. Now I don't see a link to download beta. Please post a link to download the current beta (4.12?).

My laptop hard drive crashed and I lost my ringtones, but they're still on my iPhone. If I sync my iPhone with the reimaged hard drive, I'll lose the ringtones from my iPhone. Is there any way to transfer ringtones from my iPhone back into iTunes?
Thanks, but ringtones not purchased from iTunes, created them just before computer crashed.just before the next scheduled biweekly backup.
I found and downloaded TouchCopy 12 for PC and was able to copy the ringtones from my iPhone to my Windows laptop very easily. It also enables you to transfer photos, memos, voice messages, etc. -

If you do not have a back, you can select first track on list in song view, from menu > edit > select all. Next ctrl+click and select download from pop up. You may wish to do this in small batches as it will take some time to download.

You should be able to recover data that is in the backup. That does not included some items like music. See the following for what is in the backup:

First in iTunes preferences check the box for prevent automatic syncing when a device is connected.
They connect your iPod to the computer and transfer iTunes purchases to the computer. See:

Then right click on the iPad listed under Devices in the left hand side and click on "Back Up". After backup is complete I think you will have to restore the iPad from backup to complete the process of using your iPad to the "new" computer. -

You can re-download everything you already bought, if you remember what it was, and you won't have to pay again. This assumes the music you purchased is still available for download.
Other than iCloud backup, which does not store your non-iTunes purchased music anyway, that is all there is.

If your harddrive ever crashes again, and you connect your iPod to that empty iTunes library, or your PC crashes and your iPod starts acting up you will be screwed if you don't have a backup -

If the hard drive mechanically doesn't work anymore and if it doesn't make financial sense to spend $2000-$3000 or so for specialized platter recovery services...there is no option...
,,,however if it's just the OS that's fried, a $20 powered IDE/SATA to USB adapter can be used on the drive, make it just like a external drive.
..EVEN if the file structure is fried and malware deleleted the files, software like DataRescue can be used to recover the files directly from the 1's and 0's on the disk.
The best recovery is backing up your data and preparing for the unexpected.
Apple won't re-issue your content.

EDIT: Hold on, just saw you have a iPod Touch.
There is third party software that can return the files off the iPod Touch, check over at iLounge what currently works.
I can't suggest such software here, it can be used to facilitate piracy. -

I toke the computer in and the tech guys supposedly saved all my info on my external hard drive but for some reason i can not get my music back to itunes so i can restore everything. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod/iphone. Without syncing : File>Transfer Purchases
Make sure you have authorized the computer to your account first.
If you sync contacts and calendars to a blank computer, then they will be erased as well. Another reason why always maintaining a backup is critical.
You can enter one unique contact and calendar entry on your computer and when you first sync you should get the option to merge.
As soon as you do this, make a backup copy of your computer and maintain it. -

Copy all the content on your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes. Then go ahead and sync the iPod with your new library.
