If you have iOS 5 you can go to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn on Assistive Touch. It adds software buttons to the screen.

my ipod touch is not working , i tried to rest it holding the power button and home for a while but that does not help..
any idea ?Connect the iPod to its syncing computer. Let it charge for 1/2 hour . If iTunes sees the iPod restore it via iTunes
Next see if placing the iPod in recovery mode will make it visible in iTunes so you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:

you need to install iTunes 10.
in order to install iTunes 10, you need to upgrade your Mac to OS X 10.5.

I downloaded yosesemite and now my canon scanner will not work. any ideas ?
Canon does not have any software updates, and mentioned that the driver should be in my operating system.
You need to download the Yosemite drivers for the scanner or use Apple supplied drivers, if said drivers do not exist, you will have to try a third party alternative such as VueScan or the like. See this website for a list of Canon Scanner models supported with VueScan:

when I click on a PDF file in an email or other formats that open the browser it opens up tab after tab, after tab and does not stop till I close the browner down.
It isnt a certain file type, it is all files Including word docs, excel spreadsheets, pdf's ect.. I remember Firefox asking me if I wanted to make this my default action when I clicked on a link, and I choose to make it such. I would like to change it back so I can choose whether I open/view the file or save it to my drive.

What is the make & model number of the keyboard?
You could get a keyboard remapping program & map someother key to the volumn key.

Preview - "Edit" "Cut" will not work - any ideas?
I have been trying to delete an area of a photo taken from iPhoto into Preview. I use the "Annotate" rectangle to identify the area I want to delete (this has some text in it which I want to replace) and then use the "edit" menu which should show "cut" as useable but it doesn't - it remains greyed out. I have also tried using the delete and backspace keyboard buttons without solving the problem.
Any ideas as to how I can do what I am trying to do?I don't think you can just remove part of an image with Preview.
But you can copy something else, either from the same file or another one, and paste it over it. -
My phone is basically a paper weight. I have tried to restore it and it won't restore. It did restore for about 2 mins and then it shut off and everything was erased again. I am at my wits end I just want to throw this thing against a way. Any suggestions would be great!! Thank you in advance

Hi, When the issue with Acrobat first occured (ERROR MESSAGE: Licensing for this product has stopped working. You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair this problem by uninstalling and reinstalling this product or contact your IT Administrator or Adobe Customer Support), I did unistall and reinstall my Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended, once finished reinstalling, the error kept reappearing. I also jumped onto the Adobe website and download the latest upgrade to fix this problem (http://www.adobe.com/ap/support/security/bulletins/apsb09-04.html), but the problem keeps continuing.
Any thoughts or ideas will be much appreciated. I have tried every combination of tricks and reinstalls etc and cant get it too work at all.
SharmayneHi Micahel, thanks for getting back to me, just quickly (im not the very best with computers, but am ok), when you say to check the background processes, is that starting the task manager (ctrl+alt+delete) and clicking the processes tab to see if its running there? sorry, im just not too sure where to check for this.
