700wx wont sync with my laptop

Help if you can please! I had to replace my 700wx with a new one, result of an accident. I have tried syncing my new phone, but my laptop cannot detect the treo. I have read in other threads where I need to find the USB switch... I find none. I remember having to downlod "usbkiller" on my last phone, how I did that or where I found it I haven't a clue. Any ideas? Thank you much

Hi.. Welcome to the Palm forums. To download and install the usb switch for your 700wx go to www.palm.com/us/support. In the upper right hand corner and type usb switch into the search. This will take you to a usb switch link, after clicking on it scroll down to desktop instructions and you will see the link for the download with instructions.

Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go. (No data loss)
If it comes back, try deleting a different app or two temporarily to see if it'll complete the download. Then you can delete it.

Mail is not syncing with my server. any ideas?

i have my email set up on my mac and iphone.
both are with custom servers.
when i delete a message on my mac mail it doesnt delete in the webmail.
BUT
when i delete a message from my iphone it does delete from the webmail and then from mac mail.
any ideas why mac mail seems to have such a lack of outgoing communication with the server?

Ipod touch 3rd gen wont sync with my laptop and or itunes any ideas ipod second hand?.

I bought my daughter a 3rd gen ipod touch from a second hand shop 4 months ago i only had a three month period where i wass able to take it back to shop .anyway the ipod will not show up on my laptop and does not show up with i tunes it will not download .my daughter seems quite upset as she cannot use it thank you .x

Normally it takes 2 to 4 hours to fully charge an iPod Battery, using a USB2.0 port or wall charger.
Even if the battery is dead, you can have it replaced at Apple Store for about US$60 or at any 3rd Party Ipod Service Center for less.

HT5278 I have downloaded this update and now my i pod touch will not sync with my laptop and all my songs and downloads have been lost off my i pod.

Since downloading the ios5.1.1, my ipod touch has been erased of all my songs and downloads. I have tried to sync it again and again but it wont sync with my laptop or my wifes. My ipod will not sync with my laptop. I have had previous Ipods in the past, but since then I have grown out of most of my music. Also about a year and a half ago I got a new laptop. I used the same Itunes name, but now on my new Ipod it has all of my old music and it refuses to download any of my new music. When I am using home sharing though, it says that I can turn on my "Library" but that my "music" is what is perminately on the computer. This only works though if I am near my laptop. When I try to transfer my library onto my ipod it wont let me. My music on my ipod is completely different than my normal itunes library on my computer and I have no idea how to transfer it. When I plug it in, it wont sync at all, or show that there is any device even plugged in. I am frustrated and tired of not having any of my music, so someone please help!!!

You can only sync to one computer/iTunes library. To make this your syncing computer:

I purchased a movie from Itunes and it shows up in my library movies but it wont sync with my iphone. Before I bought the movie i rented a movie to make sure it works and I liked the format so I know that it can auto sync with the iphone. In they Sync section of Itunes under videos it only has 2 headings. Rental movies and TV shows. There is no option for Movies at all so it does not even come up to transfer it over to the phone like with the rental.
I have solved the problem temporarily but would love help on a proper fix. If I check the box manual merge music and videos on the summary page I can get the movie over by dragging it from the library and dropping it into the phone but it still does not show up under the video tab but is on the phone. This then deletes all my music and I have to manually sync that as well.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am using a mac book with an iphone and a move in Itunes that I actually paid for - from itunes. I just cant figure it!

I think the layout in sync could be improved for movies perhaps putting Purchased Movies right after Rental Movies. When I am on that tab, Rental Movies (I have none and it tells me so) and then TV shows are visible on the screen with lots of blank space under. I had to scroll down to find the movie sync option (which may seem pretty obvious - but with all the white space after TV shows, I didn't notice that the scroll bar had room to scroll further). Yes, I feel a little stupid (and grateful to you for making the solution so obvious), but I do think the tab layout contributed to my ineptness.

What fixed it for me:
On your computer, open iTunes > My iPhone (or whatever name you gave your iPhone) > "Music" page
Uncheck "Sync Music"
Click "Sync" button (bottom right)
Let it run and finish
Uncheck the box for every song, playlist, etc.
Click "Sync" button (bottom right) (This step may be unnecessary, but I did it and got the result I wanted.)
Let it run and finish
Check the boxes for the music you want on your iPhone
Click "Sync" button (bottom right)
Let it run and finish

If you are syncing to the same computer that you always sync to, and have each of the items in itunes that you want synced then you shouldnt have an issue. The only way you would have an app come off your phone is if you uncheck that app from syncing in th apps location in itunes.

Yes, the two libraries should merge. However, you need to turn on match on one computer and let it finish before adding the second library.
Once you turn march on n your phone then you don't sync it with iTunes, but the merged library will show up on the phone. If you don't turn on match on your phone and continue to sync then all of the music from both libraries should be available to sync to it.
The only bit I can't confirm is what happens if you try to sync music to the phone which isnt actually downloaded into iTunes. Im not in a position to test that, but maybe someone else can help.
