If your iPhone is unresponsive after missing calls, I recommend first restarting or resetting it:
Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

If you are still experiencing the same issue, I recommend resetting all settings next:
Go to Settings > General > Reset, then choose Reset All Settings: All your preferences and settings are reset.

my son had this problem. I went to the apple store and they wiped out and restored the phone.. They said that was all they could do but that I should call our phone carrier and ask them. I did. They asked if in the top left side, next to battery power there was a icon of a half moon. There was. They said to go in to settings and go to "Do not Disturb" and turn it off. I did.....problem solved!!! Somehow "do not disturb" was turned on and that is what happens if it is!!

I've noticed that once you miss a call on FaceTime on a desktop Mac, it won't work properly again until you restart the machine.
I sent in Feedback so we'll see how that goes.

Getting missed call alert while Data services is ON

It has been observed in my BB Z30 that whenever i make "ON - Mobile Data services", the person who are calling to me getting "Not Reachable announcement" the same tested by me also by using my another number.I am getting Missed called alert sms for same.

Keep getting missed calls/missed group calls

Something really strange has been happening for the past week or so. I keep getting missed calls/group calls from "Bastian" and "Anonymous", none of these people are on my contact list and my iphone never rings when they try and call me. I just get a notification to say "missed call". The strange thing is when I swipe the notification to check my skype history none of these calls exist. There is never a missed call on skype for desktop either. On my desktop I have my privacy set to "only allow contacts to call me". Please explain what is going on with these ghost calls and how I can prevent this?

Problem:
I am facing this same freez problem on my Iphone 5 (with iOS 7.0.4) in India, Chennai.
I am using Airtel provider.
1. I can see the missed call list(s) on the first locked screen
2. To unlock the screen i tried to Swap "slide to unlock" screen, But it hangs (freez). But swap Bottom to Top to see the short cut app modes (wifi, airoplane mode,bluetooth...etc) it is working fine.
3. I cant get in to passcode input screen.
Workaround for this issue: (for iphone users)
1. "Reset iPhone" OR
2. "Make a call from your firend mobile to your hanged Iphone and pick the call. Now you wouldn't see the hanging problem"
Suggessions: (for iphone engineers)
Might be problem in locking mechanishm in the IOS. Missed call would be not properly handled by the locking mechanisim, Since, while freez, next attend call will resolvd this issue. So locking mechanishm is the problem. Please concentrate these part and put your hard work on this. Don't give workaround to iphone users all the time. workaround is only temp until fix the bug. So work hard and give us the flawless upgrade.

Its worth a shot but try going into Settings > General > Accessibility and turn on "Reduce Motion" I think that might help...

All VZW will do is re certify the phone and give it to someone else. I just would like to down grade to a cheaper phone and do away with android os. I still have the same issues with the phone as I did with my other one within a hour of re activating it. I should have no issues with the os it is flawed and should not happen. I am sorry to say but The blackberry OS is a lot more stable. There may not be as many apps but it is more productive and being able to multi task is a lot more needed on a phone. I was told yesterday I would get a call back today at 7pm when this tech support lady would start her shift to give me my options and she did not call. Making me call at 930pm today and after talking to someone I waited for 45 minuets to be hung up on. That is a real great way to treat a customer and make things better. I just want away from the Andriod OS. What difference does it make to you as a company to make a customer happy who was with you since 08 and having a second device added on to the account? What Poor way to treat someone to make them happy with all the profits you have and can't give anything back to a customer.

More than likely you can get the phone back by doing a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot.

Why does facetime hang up when I get another call on call waiting?!?!?

I love facetime, buy my one complaint is, when I get another call if I am in the middle of a facetime chat, it hangs up the facetime call completely. Just to ask if I want to accept or decline the new call. That's one bug that needs to be addressed.

no, if another call comes in, it will completely hang up the facetime call, and bring you to the incoming call screen and you can accept or decline. Even if you decline it does not resume the old call. You have to call the person back.

Phone wont tell me when i get a call if locked

when my iphone is locked (screen off) and i receive a call, it wont light up to say im getting a call. it just stays black. then i unlock later and it says i have a bunch of missed calls.

icebike: i made them test it after nuking. but it worked, they basically couldnt reproduce the problem. problem began again after i left.
modular: it doesnt ring at all. i will not know i received a call until i unlock it. airplane mode method was just someone's suggestion, in case someone was going to say it again here, i decided to include that it doesnt work. It basically was putting the phone in airplane mode then turning off the iphone then turning it back on and taking it off airplane mode.
i should mention the problem is intermittent and for some reason one out of every 10 calls gets through.

Lets put an end to these calls, Nitzie! Do the calls come from more than one number? Have you answered these calls to see what the purpose of the call is?
