Hi..I have an AirPort Extreme base connected to my DSL Modem and has been working fine. But I recently bought another DSL modem along with the latest Airport Express. With this one however I can't get it to connect to the Internet. The light on the Express is flashing green though. Does it mean I have to re-set the settings on Airport Utility? I.e. the old settings haven't been cleared yet. Any suggestions?

You have an Airport Extreme base station that is set to "Create a wireless network" and you have the box checked for "allow this network to be extended"....
Then you have an Airport Express that is set to "Extend a wireless network" which you selected the name of your network in the box...

Only option is upgrading your Mac's OSX, since Apple will not allow iOS to go backwards.

Today 24 Sep 2014 I received notice and Upgraded to Foxit Reader 7.0.
Under Plugins in Thunderbird it says Unknown. When you click on the Research Button the question is not answered in the list given.
I am presently using Plugin 2.2.4.903 is there a later one.
What is the Latest Foxit Reader Plugin for Mozilla?You'd need to check with Foxit. Plugins are 3rd party software, and not provided by Mozilla.

I take a lot of pix for eBay, sometimes 3-400 at a time. When I delete photos it's usually 1,000 at a time, and I assure you I'm not exaggerating. Up until now I was able to take the END pic and swipe the whole row and check 7 pix quickly. With the new ios7 I am unable to do it anymore (yet ANOTHER reason I don't want this 'improved' OS).
Does ANYONE know of a way to choose many pix at once to move or delete or whatever? Remember the old windows system where you could choose one pic, click it then hit SHIFT and click a lower one and it would highlight them all, in between, for a quick delete.
How can I highlight pix other than one at a time? There MUST be a way! And since I'm lacking a **** crystal ball I'm stuck. Help? And THANKS guys, really!

How do I get Firefox to work with JoyToKey? It has recently stopped working.
I use a program called JoyToKey (http://www-en.jtksoft.net/) which allows me to use a gamepad (I use an Xbox 360 gamepad) to emulate mouse movements. I have a medical condition which makes it painful to use an actual mouse, so using a gamepad is the only way I can comfortably and quickly use an Internet browser. After Firefox recently updated to version 6.0.2, it no longer recognizes my gamepad joystick input. Whenever the Firefox window has focus, the cursor does not move when I move the joystick.
I believe this is some kind of security measure to ensure that all actions are coming from the physical mouse and not from a malicious third party, because Windows has the same feature when the User Account Control dialog is activated - only the actual mouse will work with it, my controller will not. If it is a security measure then it is an appreciated effort, but, sadly, in my case it is actually more harmful than helpful. Any workarounds for this will be greatly welcomed. Thanks for your time.I can't help you with that software in particular but I suggest you to try Xpadder, I also have the microsoft xbox 360 gamepad and it works as far as I know

My wife has a new Ipad and Iphone with icloud. We also have a Imac that has not been upgraded yet that is somehow syncing with her ipad and screwing up the apps. Is there anyway to prevent this. Maybe it is thru mobilme?
I think iCloud isn't coming until this fall and not until iOS 5 is publicly available. Right now there is confusion because all this stuff is still in beta and things are under NDA and may still change.
I'd just set the 3GS up the same as currently. When iOS 5 is available in the fall (and I don't think Apple has specified beyond "fall"), before you update, there should be any number of guides to setting things up and how it will all work. http://macworld.com is a good place to look for such information. -
Is it possible to install the original CC (2013) since CC 2014 has now been released on a new account. Our mac at work are on OS 10.7.4 and can not be upgraded because of the other systems we use, we are looking at Premier CC to replace FCP, but premier CC14 needs 10.8.

Yes it is Possible. To download and install previous versions of apps, such as CS6, do the following:
Open the Creative Cloud app, and go to the Apps panel.
Filter the apps by Previous Versions.
Choose a version from the Install menu.

I tried to open my iphoto last night on my iMAC and it somehow updated on it's own and now has a message saying "The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto. Your photo library will not be readable by previous versions of iPhoto after the upgrade.The upgrade process for very large libraries may take an hour or more to complete." I only have the option to quit or upgrade. What does this mean? Have i lost my pictures? i don't properly have my back up hard drive set up so all my pictures aren't backed up.

After your iPhoto application got updated to a new version, iPhoto will convert the iPhoto library to a new format, that is used by the new version. The warning tells you, that after this upgrade older iPhoto versions will no longer be able to read the iPhoto library. If you have a second Mac with older software that might be important. Make a backup to be on the safe side and let iPhoto upgrade the library. -

I signed up for BT Total Broadband just over a year ago and I was connected at 8,128 Kbps on ADSL Max because that was the best my exchange offered. However, according to Sam Knows, my exchange has recently been upgraded to ADSL2. I tried running the line speed test for my phone number on the BT Broadband signup page and it now estimates my line speed would be 19Mb. I tried restarting my home hub but it just reconnected at 8,128 Kbps with G.992.1 Annex A. Is there anything I need to do to get the faster speed? Or is it just a case of waiting and it will happen automatically at some point?
I'm quite happy with my connection but obviously the faster speed would be great

Go to Solution.Hi once an exchange goes live it can take from a few days to several months for all lines to be moved over to the new ADSL 2+ equipment you do not need to do anything apart from wait BT will send out an email when your line is due to be moved across
