If your device did not appear in your listed devices on iCloud, this means the location software was never enabled and there is no way to track it. If your device appeared, but was listed as not online, read Niel's link. The following applies:
If your device is not online or you did not enable Find My iPhone on your device
You can use Find My iPhone while your device is offline -- it queues up commands and executes them when the device comes back online. In the meantime, you still can take the actions below to protect your data if your device appears to be offline when it is out of your possession.

This may be related to a new feature embedded in iOS7 that shows all purchased music by default. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music. See if the issue ceases once the feature has been disabled. This information is located on page 63 of the user guide below.

I have performed all troubleshoot suggestions to make my iphone and PC calendar update to each other via icloud.What else can I do to resolve this? This has been the most frustrationg aspect of changing to iphone and ipad. Thanks.
Welcome to the Apple Community.
1. First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
2. Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
3. If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings. -

have Pages on iPad and MacBook Pro but can't access docs from iCloud on laptop. laptop keeps telling me to purchase pages for iPad (which I've been using on both the iPad and MacBook for months - App store says i have them both too). Both units have current updated systems and apps. Using same apple ID. Calendar and contacts work fine between both machines.
Do you have any secondary accounts set up in mail, contacts and calendars.
