My iPad connects to my router but does not open any web page or even download my mail. My router works just fine. My iPod touch is having no problems loading pages. If at all my iPad does open a page, it does so very slowly. It happens with all routers.
It never had any problems before I upgraded to iOS6. Please help!

You can only watch the movie on the device you rented it on. Here's a snippet from the Apple Support site (italics mine):
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

The file is a .pdf. My bank lets me "view" my monthly statement. It opens in Adobe, and I save the file. Since I updated to v4, all I get is a blank tab. I updated Adobe Reader and the Adobe plug in. Still get a blank tab. I un-installed v4 and installed v3.6.1.6 and it works just fine. I'd like to use v4, if I could get this problem solved. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.
Did you post from the system that has the problem? (Your "More System Details" list shows Flash 11.7 instead of 11.8 for some reason.)
This is some standard guidance that addresses the most common issues with Flash in Firefox. I'm sure you've seen some of it before, but just in case:
(1) Make sure all recorders/downloaders that interact with Flash media are as up-to-date as possible, or disable them.
(2) Disable hardware graphics acceleration in Firefox and in Flash ''(I see from your post that you've done this part)''
(A) In Firefox, un-check the box here and restart:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"

(3) Disable protected mode (Windows Vista/7/8)

Since updating to IOS 7.0 i cannot sign into Facetime or Imessages - My IPad and Husbands IPhone are fine but when I try to sign in I get: check internet connection and try again...Does anyone have a clue what I am doing wrong?? I have the correct password.
I finally called Apple and they had me do a complete restore which of course took hours because I have so many apps and photographs on my iPad. This is the only way to get the keyboard lag to stop. The best way was to connect to iTunes store and backup your data there. You must do a complete restore in order to get a clean version of the hardware. It worked on both my iPhone 6 and my iPad Air 2. If you can't get it to work, call Apple. Trust me...it does work.

It takes time but it did fix it as it reinstalls the hardware from scratch so no bugs are left. -
I can load Firefox, and get all the bars and acknowledgment itis running but I get a error message that the webpage is unavailable, all web pages, Safariis the same way. This is on my Dell Desk top, but not a problem with HP mini and using the same Internet access.
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

Safari 5.1.5 shows .pdf web pages as black. The same thing happens with Firefox, at least with the few pages I've checked. Does this have something to do with an AdobePDF plug-in? I recently had to restore my system from Time Machine backup.
The following appears to have I solved my problem with Safari 5.1.5, 5.1.6 and 5.1.7. I also have Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 installed.
Follow mbuffy's post dated May 10, 2012 directly above, and
Do NOT allow Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 to perform the "repair" the missing Adobe PDFViewer Plug-in when the window pops up and offers to repair Adobe PDFViewer Safari Plug-in. If Adobe does the "repair," then I can not view .pdf web pages in Safari or Firefox.
FYI, cmmartin0275 posted the following on Sep 8, 2011 in a discussion of "Missing PDF Pluggin" at https://discussions.apple.com/message/16119130#16119130:
"Just FYI to anyone with this problem...this is straight from Adobe's website.
"Adobe Reader plug-in and Acrobat plug-in are not compatible with the Safari 5.1 browser, which will ship with Mac OS X 10.7 and for 10.6 in July. Adobe Reader and Acrobat will continue to work as standalone applications on Mac OS X 10.7 and 10.6, and will render PDF documents outside of the browser. In addition, Safari 5.1 renders PDF documents natively. I'm staying with a friend, using her internet connection wirelessly, worked fine for 2 days, now my macbook says I'm connected to the internet, but can't get any webpages to pull up at all. It just says connecting....them request timed out try again. I've logged out, logged back in...no luck, took out battery, no luck...help please!

Went on the internet on Friday but a box appeared saying firefox could not verify web page and somebody could be trying to impersinate the web page this was my home page it gave me two options the first was get me out of here or that I understood the risks and to continue I clicked the latter and my home page came up this box continued to appear on each occasion I tried to acess any web pages but when I tried to acess Facebook the box only gave me the option of get me out of here it also did this when I tried to acess Mozilla Firefox to see whether there was a problem with the browser I tried to reinstall the browser but the problem persisted I finally got round the problem by reinstalling my computer to an earlier time before I did this I also have the option for Google chrome on my computer and this browser worked fine Facebook etc I prefere Firefox but although the warning box hasn't materialised since I reset my computer Firefox has become unstable where it has frozen on a web page and the only way I can get out is to start the task manager and end the programme even though the task manager is saying that the page is still working correctly but after I have ended the running of the programme it will not reload the firefox browser but again google chrome is fine I have to restart the computer to fix this problem any ideas thanks.

Check the date and time and time zone in the clock on your computer: (double) click the clock icon on the Windows Taskbar.
Check out why the site is untrusted and click "Technical Details" to expand this section.
If the certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided (sec_error_unknown_issuer) then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
*Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
*Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the <b>issuer of the certificate</b>.
You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
If <b>"I Understand the Risks"</b> is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
*Note that some firewalls monitor (secure) connections and that programs like Sendori or FiddlerRoot can intercept connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.
*Note that it is not recommended to add a permanent exception in cases like this, so only use it to inspect the certificate. -
My iPhone is connected to my computer but will not open up in iTunes.
My iPhone 5 quit working after 5 months but my warranty is up because they replaced my first iPhone 5, which is frustrating enough. I set my iPhone 4 back to factory default and set it up. iTunes and iCloud, etc. is all connected on my phone but the phone will not show up on iTunes on my computer. I don't know how to get it to connect. I've never had a phone or iPod that didn't pop up on iTunes as soon as I connected it until now.

I'm at work and my MacBook Pro is connected wifi but a web page will not display. Other have the pros and is connect. Tried restarting but not working
You're not a liar. They should not charge you $90, it is within the 1-year warranty that comes with it and you are entitled to a free replacement. I have never had the problem myself on a 15 month old MacBook, so there must be SOMETHING that happened to it, maybe without you noticing. But might I recommend a wireless trackpad or Apple "Magic Mouse?"

PC connects to APort extreme but will not open page??

In my flat we have three macs and two PCs which all connect to the internet via an Airport Extreme.
All used to work fine, however its only the macs that can load a web page.. the PCs say they are connected to the apple network (excellent signal) but they will not actually load a web page...
could anyone please help...

... and how are you connected to the Internet? Wireless DSL/Cable modem/router? If so, what is the make/model of this modem/router?
Let's also double-check your MacBook's AirPort settings ...
System Preferences > Network > Show > Network Port Configurations
o Verify that an AirPort option exists. If it does not, click "New" to create one. (Note: If you are unable to create an AirPort configuration, the AirPort card in your computer either doesn't exist or it is not recognized.)
o Verify that AirPort is "On" (checked)
o Verify that AirPort is at the top of the list. If it isn't, you can drag it to the top.
Systems Preferences > Network > Show > AirPort
AirPort tab
o By default, join: Automatic
TCP/IP tab
o Configure IPv4: Using DHCP
o Configure IPv6: Off
Proxies tab
o Configure Proxies: Manually
o Select a proxy server to configure: <All proxies should be unchecked unless you specifically require a proxy for Internet access.>
o Exclude simple hostnames (unchecked)
o Bypass proxy settings for these Hosts & Domains: <leave blank>
o Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV) (checked)
