My ipad mini isn't letting me add new calendars, what do I do?
Just bought a new ipad mini but it will not allow me to add a new calendar, only events. There is no 'add new calendar' button. How do I fix this?

Are you using the wall charger? Connecting to the USB port on your computer gets the Not Charging message.

My battery on my iPad mini isn't charging, the charging sign is on, but the battery just keeps going down.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
Since you did not say how long the battery lasts I am nut sure the battery is the problem. -
install canon printer on macbook air? I've got as far as add printer - the printer name appears as the software is installed but when I go to choose a driver, mine isn't listed - where is it? what do I do? Tearing hair out...
Thanks for telling us the printer model. You are right - it isn't in the software available for auto-download from Apple servers.
Are you using the version 3.66 CAPT driver released in Jun 2014?

It is a disk image (.dmg) file. You must double-click to "mount" the disk image, then install using the installer inside that.
Please let us know if that helps. There are more thing to try. -

The iPad mini doesn't have the same resolution as the "new iPad".
iPad 3 & 4 (retina) = 2048x1536 pixels
iPad 1 & 2 (original) = 1024x768
iPad mini = 1024x768
Apple likely didn't put a retina screen in the iPad mini to keep cost down and to have an option to upgrade the iPad mini to a retina screen down the road, in a year or two. It could be however that the pixel density of 2048x768 at 9" poses a problem for the viewer, in that text and features might be rendered too small or too thin for the average buyer/consumer. -

My guess is you are being asked for identifying information involving a credit card. Your credit card is not charged for free apps - although of course some apps have offer in-app items that may cost.

Thank you for your help, but when I go to general....settings.....there is nothing that says reset! There is something that says iTunes wi-fi sync......but when I go to that and touch where it says sync now...nothing happens.....it also says sync will resume when "valued-x7uzz8bo is available....under that it says valued-x7uzz8b0 and under that apps and photos........I don't have a clue what that means!!!! As for the games....no, I used the same computer!

Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

ICal-all events deleted and won't let me add new HELP!!

Recently I started my iCal and all my entries were gone. Not only that, but it won't let me add new entries no matter what I do. As well, my to do list on the right is blank and the space on the left where my calendars were listed before is also blank. If I go into my computer I can find the files from iCal with the information but they aren't showing up in iCal itself.

1. Can you associate this behavior with anything that you recently installed on your computer?
2. Are you using MobileMe, or any other sync software?
3. Do you have any backups such as Time Machine, or an iCal archive?
4. What calendars do you have listed in your sources pane?
5. Have you subscribed to any calendars?
6. Do you have an iPad or iPhone?
7. Where have you found the iCal files on your computer?
8. Have you attempted to repair disk permissions?
9. Try refreshing the iCal plist file. You will find the "com.apple.iCal.plist" file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Quit iCal, and drag the .plist file to your Desktop. Then log out/in or restart. -
my calendar will no longer let me add new event or delete them, it comes up with an error saying "cannot save event, no end date set" or "event does not belong to that event store". can anyone help with this?
Hi,
To configure your ODBC DataSource, go to Control Panel ---> DataSources(ODBC) (If you are in a Windows environment).
Select the tab System DSN. If you have not added your data source, then do so by clicking on the Add button. If you have added the datasource, click on the Configure button to configure it.
Give the datasource name, then the database name.
You have to give the hostname, service name and server name. I guess, in most cases, the datasource name and host name will be the same, service name and server name will be the same. If you are using TCP/IP, the protocol will be onsoctcp.
There will be a file named Services under C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc where you have to give the port number for accessing this server.
It will be like this <service name> <portnumber>/tcp

Yes, I was aware of this but the phrase "Any items imported from audio CDs or acquired from other sources will not copy from your device to the iTunes library." is what worries me. Will this eliminate my Notes, Calendar Events, etc or will it apply mostly just to the music?

We have a new iPad Mini, and I'm having inconsistent results using Bookmarks in the Safari icon.
For a long time, on the iPad, I could only see five items under the Bookmark icons and the Bookmarks Bar was empty.
Occasionally, in Safari, the iPad would pick up and display all of the Bookmarks from the Safari browser on my iMac.
Other times, there are only a bare few Bookmarks available on the iPad, the Bookmarks Bar goes away and I cannot save a new Bookmark. It looks like I can save one, but I cannot find it after allegedly saving.
Then, all of the Bookmarks will come back and I can save a new Bookmark again. We can't figure out why all of the Bookmarks will show and then they won't.
I want to think this involves iCloud some way, but for right now, I'm stumped. Perhaps we're just too inexperienced and haven't come around the learning curve yet.

SteveNo, I see the three areas at the bottom of the Bookmark area that you refer to, but that also highlights an issue. When I want to save a story to my Reading List and click on Share then "Add to Reading List" then go back to look at what is stored in the Reading List, my recently-saved item is not there.
I looked thru the History tab and the Reading List tab and have been in the Bookmark tab. But even when I Save a Bookmark, that newly-saved Bookmark does not show up in the Bookmark area.
But then again, the next day (and actually just in the last half-hour) all of the functionality came back. When I look at the Bookmarks, suddenly, again, all of the Bookmarks that are on my Safari browser on my iMac are now there, and I can now Save a Bookmark.
It keeps coming in and out and that is what is driving me a little nuts.
