I have run into problems with my iPhone 4. I hadn't done an update for a while so decided to get my itunes and iphone 4 up to date. I downloaded all the latest versions. However now non of my third party apps work and my largest one has vanished. I try and open them and they flash up and then close again. I thought the easiest thing to do was to restore so I tried to syn my apps onto itunes so I wouldn't loose them. However it won't let me sync the apps onto iTunes. I had all of my apps and music stored in iTunes, I updated to the newest 9.2 iTunes and did a 4.0 update to my iPhone 3G all the while not noticing that EVERYTHING IN iTUNES was GONE. When I got done updating my iPhone it was late so i went to bed... Next day came back to sync everything and thats when I saw it was all gone...

did what the link said and NOW I have all my 6K+ MUSIC back but not ONE APP. The App's are completely gone from when you nav. to the location the link says... There isn't a mobile sync folder there...

On the iPod fo to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and sign in and view your ID and verify the payment method is OK. Then try again.

I downloaded later version of IPad software to watch a film. I backed up on itunes. All going well until i try to restore from itunes and all it says is you have used 5 authorisations. I've tried deauthorising and it then says I have been successful and now i have 0 computers authorised. I have two apple ID's so tried both. I cant locate anywhere it says deauthorise all. i've followed all help instructions to the letter over and over again. I am going on holiday thursday and cant get anything on my IPAD other syncing with Itunes but then on computer screen says cant sync unless deauthorise one of your 5 computers. Nightmare. I've spent hours since sunday and no further forward. Anyone any clues?

There are a few restrictions when it comes to deauthorize all option. One of them is that there has to be at least 2 accounts signed in. Another option is that you can only deauthorize all once a year. Check out the article below for more information and if you are still stuck, there is an option for further assistance with contacting the iTunes Store for support.

I had been trying to update an app on my IMac and when it came to do it, it said I must close down the app site, in this case WeatherEye. However, I could not close it down and update says it is waiting. I have tried everything I know to get rid of this but it remains even when powering off the machine. Any suggestions?

open /applications/utilities/terminal.app and type: killall "Applicationname without .app"
open /applications/activity monitor.app press on the app thats buggin ya and press quit/force quit

I have acquired a used iPhone. I want to set it up as my own. I want to change my Apple ID in the iCloud Settings og the phone to include my new ID but the iPhone is stuck on the previous one even though the phone has been dereigistered fom the old users account and I have reset an Apple ID on the site and on my phone. How do I change the Apple ID on the iCloud settings on the phone so that I register the phone on iCloud under my own account?
The previous user was supposed to erase the phone and remove it from their account, as explained here under "If the device has not been erased": http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515. Contact the previous owner and have them perform these steps.

Hi, I was backing up my iPad 2 and it gave me an error message. Since then, my iPad has been dead or should I say, STUCK. The screen shows the iTunes image with an image of a USB cable under it with an arrow pointing towards the iTunes icon. I haven't been able to get it to unfreeze and when I connect it to iTunes, iTunes doesn't give me the option to Sync or Restore. It actually just goes into the iTunes Store section and I can't access the part I need. Please help! Thank You!!!!!
You may need to put the iPad in recovery mode to restore it.

When opening Notes on the IPAd it stays open for about 10 seconds then closes
When open Notes on the IPas it closes after about 10 seconds so can not use notes

Hi, recently I changed my passcode to something that is pretty close to my old passcode (since my friend found out the old one) and a few minutes ago it worked when I needed to use my iTouch for something (with the new passcode), but right now it isn't after multiple attempts to unlock it. So, I decided to restore it on iTunes, but it comes up with a message saying "The iPod Software update server could not be connected..." I know that my internet is working fine since I'm able to use it right now, and I looked at other posts on this forum with the same connection problem. (People suggested going to Network options --> Connections Tab --> LAN Settings --> and then checking "Allow detecting settings." Some people said that it worked for them but for most it didn't (including me). I couldn't find any other answers so I decided to post this. I don't know any other way to unlock my iPod Touch 4th Generation other than restoring it.
Tried it all. Even went to the troubleshooting link at the bottom of it. No solutions there either. And I installed iTunes onto my moms laptop and activated that but it required a passcode to connect my iTouch to that iTunes on there so that was going nowhere...

Wherever I find Firefox on my computer, it will not open. i cannot get beyond the icon or the file. Clicking on them gets no result.
If I try to uninstall and download again, it tells me it cannot proceed in either case until I close Firefox. But it will not close. So I am totally stuck. in some cases this error at startup might also be a symptom of malware active on the pc. please do a full scan of your system with your security software already in place and/or an alternative like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/ free version of malwarebytes]. -

You can reduce your iCloud storage to make more room (as discussed here: Manage your iCloud storage), or turn off iCloud backup and start backing up to your computer using iTunes instead.

I have a ipod touch that my son forgot what the passcode is so i went to itunes to restore it and it goes half way through the restore process then itunes doest recognize the ipod the my ipod says ipod is disabled connect to itunes but itunes brins up the message enter passcode does anyone know what to do or how to get this to work

Many thanks a VERYNovice ipadderThe iPad 1 can be updated to iOS 5.1.1. You can see what level you are running in Settings > General > About > Version.
If you are not at iOS 5.1.1 and if you are have iOS 4 (or earlier) there is no Software Update in Settings. That feature was first added in iOS 5.
To update you will have to connect your iPad to iTunes on a computer (preferably the one you sync with and backup to).

If you are on level 5 but not at 5.1.1 you can update to 5.1.1 using Settings > General > Software Update.
There are still many Apps which will run on iOS 5. Also, some developers have older levels still available for the iPad 1.
