My ipad won't upload thumbnails in Facebook or Tumblr?
I'm trying to use my ipad to post in social media sites such as facebook and tumblr, however whenever i post a website url it does not include a thumbnail or fetch an image from the site. It only posts the blank url. Help! Social media requires images!!

It could be either hardware or software.
First thing to try is:
1) Press and Hold the Home and Wake Sleep buttons until the Apple Logo appears.
2) Try a different charging/sync cable, if possible.
3) If that doesn't work, try a reset, To reset go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset.
4) If it still doesn't work, you can try a restore via itunes.
If none of the above work, you can make an appointment at Apple for the expert to test all the components. Take your ipad, charging block and cord.

Of all the photos on my pc, which have previously come from my iPhone will not upload to my iPad.
There are some photos I have imported to my pc and had on my iPhone before that also won't upload.
Can any one advise me on how to do this?

ThanksWindows 7, yes, I've download, installed, uninstalled and reinstalled about a dozen times. My wife has a Windows 7 PC and it works flawlessly on hers.
We both use the same iCloud account just for the Photo Stream so we can share the pics. -
My ipad won't let me into facebook and when I try to update App, it tells me facebook is not compatible with my ipad. I checked for updates and it says I have the current version (5.1.1). Should I have IOS 7 on this ipad and how to get?
The first generation iPad can't be updated past 5.1.1.

Recently started having trouble uploading photos to Facebook and other Web sites, which throw a "photo too large" error. Sometimes with repeated retries, the photo will upload; other times, the photo with absolutely not upload.
Can't be sure when the problem began, but have been using iPad for almost two years. Am not aware of any significant changes to the iPad, such as new OS, rouge apps, etc. Have looked at various settings, no help. Version 6 (10A403), iPad WiFi 4G 64GB (model MD371LL).
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.I would start with two basic troubleshooting steps.
Try this first. Reset your iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that doesn't fix it, try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings. You won't lose any data, but all of the device settings will have to be entered again. -
Photos uploaded to ipad won't sync to Aperture

After using the Camera Connection Kit and importing the photos to your iPad, you now should be seeing them in an event on the iPad.
When you connect the iPad with an USB cable to your mac and open Aperture, you should see the photos in the Camera Roll and the photos in the events in Aperture's Import panel, to be ready to be imported to Aperture - tested with Aperture 3.4.5 and iPad 3.
With the "Photos.app" on the iPad you could also select the photos in the event and use "Share" to share them to your Photo Stream. But saving to the Camera Roll is not possible.
With the "iPhotos.app" on the iPad you have additional sharing options. You can save the photos to the Camera Roll or to iTunes. Both would be helpful, if you already have edited the photos and want to import the edited versions.

My iPad won't let me log into Facebook or connect any other apps to it. It say I need to go into settings and type in my password but when I do it says cannot connect to server. I've closed everything else and also tried reinstalling Facebook but nothing has worked

It is peculiar, that Chrome, Safari, and Skype can access FB, but not the iPhoto uploader.
Do you see any error messages/ diagnostics in the Console Window, when you try to connect to Facebook?
Launch a Console window from Applications > Utilities and clear the Console Window. Then try to upload. Are there any new messages?
And also launch a Terminal and have a look, if "facebook.com" is properly resolved:

IPhoto won't upload my photos to facebook
I created an album in iPhoto and I click on Share in the bottom right of my screen and select facebook. It creates an album on facebook and says it's uploading thumbnails then finishes. I check Facebook and the album is there but none of the photos are uploaded. If I try and manually add photos from Facebook the ones in the album cannot be selected. I'm having the same problem with an existing album on Facebook. I added some new photos to it within iPhoto and selected them to share and it only uploaded a few.
It's a know problem with iPhoto so we'll have to wait until the next iPHoto updater is released. In the mean time we you'll have to upload photos the old fashion way like you've already done, manually.

as of July 2014 Facebook won't upload photos when trying on my MacBook, yet my iPhone and the PC at work will, what's up with my Mac or Safari? I have updated my Flash and that seems fine. Facebook is not allowing me to upload photos of videos to my profile or friends profiles. Also when I post a link to an article the photo preview with the article no longer shows up either. What the heck??? I am super frustrated. Thanks for any help

Version 7.0.4I can upload photos to Facebook on Safari 7.0.5 and Mavericks v10.9.4 so update your OS X.
Go to Apple top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click Software Update, OR, open the App Store then select Updates from the menu top of that window. Then follow the instructions for updating OS X.
When you're done, launch Safari then uploading photos on Facebook.
If you still have problems, troubleshoot Safari extensions and third party plugins.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

actually, video from your camera roll can be sent directly to YouTube, and cannot directly uploaded to Facebook without the use of an app.
Facebook actually has its own iPhone app you can use to send your camera roll video. iPad will run it anyway. -
io6 update lost Youtube in my iPad and is really slow and Facebook is slow and don't what to upload photo the iPad is slow to.
Youtube is no longer integrated with iOS. You can download the app fromt he app store.. it's designed for iPhone... but states that it works with iPad.
As for running slow... trying holding down the power and home button at the same time for 10 seconds to do a hard reset.
Also.. if you double tap your home button it will bring up a small window across the bottom of your screen... this is called the multitasker.
Hold your finger one of the apps til they jiggle... then tap the red minus button to kill the app. If you kill them all this should help your ipad run alot faster.

Please helpAbout all that can be suggested is to use the feedback form and talk to Apple. They have communicated with some users, trying to get more info to find out just what the battery drain is so they can fix it. Unfortunately with the myriad of operating systems, apps and individual tweaks, there could be several combinations of settings that are draining the battery.
My personal suspicion is that it has something to do with iCloud and the wifi syncing. (My ipad, before I changed the setting, was reaching out to find a sync on a regular basis. And it may still be doing so, however I set my iTunes to not automatically open to keep my device from trying to sync several times in an evening...not to mention the constant aggravation of iTunes opening regularly)
That said, I could be wrong and it could be an app that users have in common, or several apps. -
