My iPad2 screen stops responding after about 5 mins, can this be fixed?
Have you tried to give it a reboot? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. WHen you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot and see if that helps.

Videos freeze + IE stops responding after 5 mins
I have been having trouble with Youtube videos. Every single video will freeze after 5 minutes. However, the audio will continue playing until the entire browser stops responding. The video eventually resumes after the browser recovers.
I have tried IE 9 and 10
I have tried adobe flash player 11.7 and 10.3
I have tried disabling hardware acceleration
I have cleared my browsing history
I tried updating my graphics card
I tried software rendering
This problem doesn't occur in Opera.

Itunes freezes and stops responding after about 1 minute of being open
This problem has been happening only recently. It just freezes, I logged onto my computer yesterday and it did the same thing. And it's doing it again today!! its really frustrating! I just re-installed itunes, the latest version for windows. My computers specs can handle it no problem..

X1 Carbon Touch Screen stops responding after sleep
Hi,
My X1 Screen does not come back after sleep for several minutes. I've encountered this problem the very fist day I've received it, a reboot solved the problem but after few days it happened again, this time it took 2-3 hours for it to come back after several reboots. After a week it was gone for good, Service replaced the motherboard and just received my X1 back yesterday. Today it happened again. A reboot solved the problem but symptoms are same. Comp goes to sleep, when I try wake it up, X1 works but diplay is totaly gone. I can hear the sounds, see the fingerprint sensor etc is alive but can not wake up the display..
Model is 208A and Win 8.1
Any ideas ?
ThanksHey...got your back on this one! I returned a T440s because of this.....tech support had no idea...same problem for the replacement they sent to me, and again they it's a motherboard issue. Nope....trial and error...found the solution. Download and upgrade your fingerprint pro software and it's fixed. Here is the link. Please post if it worked for you too!

After upgrading to 10.8.3 my Apple USB keyboard stops working after about 3 hours

Apple USB Keyboard works fine after reboot (typing on it now), stops responding after about 3 hours.
I see nothing in Console that looks like the culprit. Here is everything around the last time it happened - between 11:28 and 11:30 they keyboard just stopped working. Unplugging and re-plugging doesn't bring it back. Changing USB ports doesn't bring it back. Rebooting is the only thing that seems to work. Bluetooth keyboard works before and after.

I understand that your keyboard backlight is not working upon startup, the following may resolve your issue:
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

After performing normal troubleshooting, these symptoms may indicate that an SMC reset may be necessary:
Lights
The keyboard backlight appears to behave incorrectly (on Mac computers that have this feature).
You may also want to reset your computer's PRAM:

DriveReadySeekComplete errors are either:
- IDE controler failure
- Bad cables
- Bad harddisk
Out of these 3, the last one sounds the most reasonable with nowadays harddrives. And yes, your system will hang when all your important processes are hanging while trying to do disk I/O.
What windows does is switching back to PIO mode and never report anything, until you hit the nice BSOD telling you to replace the floppydisk in drive C... -
AME CS4 Stops encoding after about 10 min without failure message
Can anybody help me with the following problem?
I have edited a Video of about 15 min length in Premiere Pro CS 4 and now i am trying to export it.
But no matter which format or resolution i choose, the adobe media encoder stops encoding after about 10 minutes withoit giving any failure message. It does not really crash, it just stops, timer is frozen, but the media encoder program still reacts to inputs! When i let it start encoding again nowm it won't start encoding at all so i have to restart the computer in order for it to start encoding, but it will again encode for only 10 min again!
I am using an acer i7 3610qm laptop with 4 gb ram and win 7 64bit
I have updated to the latest versions of premiere and media encoder and also i have tried deleting the preferences, no change...
Does anybody have a clue?You might also want to check your GPU settings in Premiere (File > Project Settings > General). If the Renderer is set to CUDA, switch to Software Only and try encoding the sequence again.

I was looking into the issue you are desribing, and found a great article for troubleshooting wifi connections with iOS devices. It's called iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections and can be found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1398.
Start with this section, and work your way down if needed.
Basic troubleshooting
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then on again.
Verify that you are in range of your Wi-Fi router or base station.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and Cable/DSL modem are connected to power and turned on.
Check whether other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware.For AirPort Base Stations, refer to this article for information about firmware updates. For third-party Wi-Fi routers, check the manufacturer's website for details on updating your firmware.
Restart your iOS deviceHold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.

Admin console stops responding after a while
We just upgraded to Weblogic 8.1.5 . We are having difficulties with the Administrator console. It stops responding after a while. There is no pattern. The restart seems to fix it but restart is very slow as it takes around 2 min to detect each server. So we have to wait for around 16 min (since we have 8 servers) for it to be operational again.
Has anyone seen this problem and can suggest a resolution to this problem.

Pankaj GroverI've never seen this and we've been running 8.1.5 for a while. Have you tried dumping threads to see what the admin server is doing? On UNIX, run 'kill -QUIT <admserv_pid>'. Can't remember if/how this can be done on Win32. I believe Console requests use the weblogic.admin.HTTP execute queue and it only has two threads. Could be that something is blocking those threads leading to this.
I would also look into why your admin server takes 2 minutes to discover your managed servers. That seems unseemly long to me. Mine takes a few seconds at most. Since the Console does cause the admin server to talk to the managed servers, these two things might be related. Maybe you've got some kind of network/DNS lag that could be eliminated. -

Can you provide any more information about the files that are causing the problems? Are these particularly large files? Many pages or images? Have you opened these files in Photoshop CS5, or other versions of Photoshop?
What do you see when you try to import these PDFs? Do you get the PDF Import dialog, allowing you to select pages or images from the PDF? Is so, is it hanging when you click OK or at another time?
Any more details about the problem or other info (as well as sample files) you can provide, the easier it will be for us to help identify the cause of your problems.

And while buying said faster card... buy a REPUTABLE brand from a reputable vendor. I've come to the conclusion that there are a lot of fly-by-nights making cards that are not as fast as they claim to be.
Reputable vendors are companies like Sandisk and Lexar. But as an SD card is just a plastic card with a sticker on it, and stickers are pretty easy to fake, buy the card from a vendor you can trust is not selling fakes.
This is one item where it is probably not a good idea to try to save money by finding the cheapest deal you can find on the Internet.

Mac book pro stops responding after Maverick OS restart. Currently have a circle with a line through it after 20+ hours. Tried to shut it down and use the Time Machine to restore but no response. How can I restore with Time Machine if it will not start?

you can purchase a replacement pair of grey installation DVDs for your MacBook Pro from either Apple or iFixit. If Startup Manager is only showing an OS X Installer volume, then it sounds like the Mavericks installer had a problem midway through its installation process. To fix this, you’re going to need to erase your internal disk and reïnstall your original version of OS X from the grey Mac OS X Install DVD, use Software Update to get it back to 10.6.8 (presuming that your MacBook Pro originally came with Snow Leopard), and then restore from Time Machine. -
I'm doing everything the same and have made many successful slideshow recordings using Keynote, but since updating the Yosemite and then updating Keynote the audio just stops recording after about 30 seconds.
The slides keep on changing and recording the video, but after 30 seconds the audio stops recording even though it seems to be registering the sound and the mic is not muted in Keynote.
Is there some change or new setting I am not aware of that needs to be altered?
Any advice would be helpful as I need to record a lot of presentations.

Intel Iris Pro 1536 MBI can't imagine this will work as the the application is tied into a specific computer and user ID to prevent unauthorised use of single use applications. Copying over has not worked with previous versions of Keynote.
It worked for me. I guess it could be because we bought our Macs together and have home sharing or something. Either way, I'm running Yosemite but with Keynote 6.2.2. and not updating again until Apple do something about this bug. -
