My iPhone 3G charges with a charger, but not when connected via USB to my computer and iTunes doesn't recognize it.
Hello, my iPhone charges when I charge it with the wall plug but not when connected to a computer via USB and my iTunes doesn't recognize my iPhone either. iTunes recognizes my iPod and iPad just fine. I have been to Apple iPhone support page and I have restarted my iPhone, the computer, tried different USB ports, etc. I have also tried my iPhone on different macs even with different versions of iTunes and no luck. This all started when I was cleaning out some lint from the usb connector, could I have damaged some part of the docking connection? But why does it charge with a wall plug then?
I fixed the problem. When I was trying to clean the connector of the iPhone I must have bent some pins. I have straightened them to the best of my ability and now it syncs. If your iPhone charges, but doesn't sync, most likely you have a similar problem, because the iPhone doesn't need all of its pins to charge, but it does need all of them to sync.

My iPhone 4 quit charging correctly. It does charge but very slowly and icon doesn't indicate it as charging. I've checked cables and charges and the problem is definetily with the phone. My car stereo no longer recognizes it as a device. Neither does the computer. The real strange thing to me is that when I plug it into my old klispch speaker dock it will play songs. Would disconnecting the battery possibly reset it from some glitch or is the charging port got some bad contacts?I checked with the Genius Bar. It was a new dilema to the lady that was helping me. She took it to a back room and worked on it but it came out the same. She gave me some options for repair or credit for replacement.
I just kept the phone and put up with slowly charging it by plugging it in and then turning it off.
I couldn't transfer anything from itunes.
I finally got fed up and bought a new charging port for $10. and a toolkit for $3. I looked up a video on youTube for the replacement and did it.
That solved all the problems, it was the charging port, must have been some bad pins or something because it patially worked. -
Why will my Iphone connect via USB on one computer and not another?
My IPhone 5s connected to my laptop and Itunes no problem, as soon as i did the ITunes update now neither my laptop or my ITunes will read my iphone via USB. I have no idea how to fix it.

It can't be a cable issue because i charged my IPhone via my desktop and it connected no problem, it's something to do with this ITunes update i think.

I have tried a different USB to no avail. Both cables work on my old Dell so I don't believe they are the issue.
I uninstalled iTunes as directed by Apple Support and reinstalled. Apparently, Apple Mobile Device Support is not loading with it because it does not show up in programs. -
iphone 4S - Windows Vista - 64 Bit (and photoshop elements 9.0) is not recognizing my iphone as a camera - therefore I cannot download pictures from my iphone. iTunes works fine with the iPhone, but I do not see it in "My Computer" when connected via USB. My iPhone 6 was stolen and i got it back, but the pass code was changed and so was the touch-id. and now im locked out of the phone because ios 8.1 requires either of the passwords to access the phone. and iTunes doesn't recognize it so i cant restore it at all PLEASE HELP

From what you describe you are having issues printing from MS Office. Have you had trouble printing from other resources on your computer (e.g. from the internet or another program)? The first thing I am going to suggest is that we start by uninstalling and reinstalling the printer from the resources available online.
First if you use a USB cord, make sure to remove it (this is important). Do not plug it back in until the software directs you to. Then go through the Devices and Printers, Programs and Features and Device Manager folders and insure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. Then as directed, restart the computer.
In the START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here I want you to press Ctrl+A and hit DELETE. Some of the files will not allow you to delete them, skip those files and delete the majority that allows it.

Have you tried holding the centr button and menu. This will force a shutdown.

Just open your LG volume up likes its an external HD and drag all photos onto a folder in your macbook Air.

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
For other music you will have to get it from where yo originally obtained it. -

I would be concerned too if my iPhone was not powering on. I recommend following steps 3-6 below:
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on),reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more aboutrestoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.

I have an iPhone 4. I recently updated. It loaded all my iTunes music purchases but not the music I had on my computer. This music was on my iPhone before I updated. I have tried re-sycing but not getting anywhere. Says it cannot locate my music files but I see it on my lap top but cannot play it or get it on my iPhone. Can anyone walk me through this?

Yes it would, possibly even brick it.
Have successfully connected my ipod nano with iTunes so looks like the device driver is working.
Can I use my ipod nano USB connector to check?
It is not much help to you, since the device that you need still not recognized.
Anyway looks like I may have to swallow the loss of data. Have set-up a call for tomorrow with Apple support so will wait until after this before doing the factory restore!
