My iphone 3gs will not turn on. I plug it in to the wall and still get nothing...I plug into my computer and itunes nor my computer recognizes it, any ideas?

Could be a problem with the 30-pin connector port or the cable. Is there an Apple Store or Apple authorized support center nearby?

My iphone 3gs will not turn on after attempting a factory restore, all that happens is the apple logo appears the timer goes round then stops. It then switches itself on and off several times to no avail.
The only way I can turn it off now is by holding the off button and the home button, but then it goes into the cycle again.

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.

On Saturday night my phone was on and working. I plugged it in and went to bed, when I woke up Sunday morning the screen was black except for the apple that pops up when it is starting to turn on. I reset it with the sleep and home buttons (too many times to count) and have even tried to hold the home key and plug it in to the USB to restore it. The problem with that is I have never connected it to my iTunes on my computer before. I use iTunes on my phone and plug my phone up to download my pictures every now and then (of which I will lose a couple of weeks of my 6 month old.. but thank goodness for FB!). Apple will only help me if I pay and ATT tol me to clean my SIM card with an eraser which got the battery to pop up on the main screen, but as soon as I plug it in the same apple screen pops up! PLEASE HELP!!

My iPhone 5 mysteriously turned off with about 30% left, it will not turn on at all no matter how long I hold the buttons. Also when plugged in the apple logo turns on but than turns off after acouple seconds, it will repeatedly do this until unplugged.

I have an ipod touch that just recently started to be unresponsive! It had a good amount of battery left and then all of a sudden it turned off and now will not turn back on even after 30mins of charging. no charging screen has appeared either. ive held down both the home n sleep buttons for 10secs or more and still nothing has happened. then i held down just the home button. still nothing and then i tried holding down the sleep/wake button for a couple seconds and still nothing has happened are there any other ways of turning my ipod back on or did it **** the bed and i should get a new one? thanks

Iphone will not turn on unless plugged into outlet, and then says activation needed

It worked fine before class, when I left class to check my phone, it wouln't turn on. If I plug it into the wall outlet and it shows the red battery indicating it has no charge, then goes to the apple logo screen for a few minutes before turning on and saying activation required. It was trying to make me go through the steps of activating it. If i unplug it, it will turn back off. It will not power up if I plug it into the computer, and it does not show up as a device on my computer. I have tried holding down the home and power button to reset it, and this does not work. I bought the phone when it first came out, Im trying to avoid taking it the the Apple store because it is 2 hours away.

What troubleshooting have you tried? Try a reset, hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone should reboot. If it does not, then you need to try and restore via iTunes. Try connecting the phone to the computer and iTunes and see if it is recognized. So to explain my current situation, I have owned my iPhone 4 for about 3 months, thought after charging it overnight I awoken to it being faulty, the phone will not longer realise it is connected. I have tried multiple cables 3 of them being genuine apple cables. The phone will charge but at a much slower rate, it wont appear in iTunes or My Computer and the small lightning bolt inside the displayed battery will not appear.

Try cleaning the charging area in case there is a buildup of debris that's preventing a good connection.

When I try to turn my Ipod touch on, the apple will show up and then shut down.....I found that it will turn on and work if it's plugged in on my music dock, but the second I take it off it goes dead, even though it says the battery is full.

Have you tried the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
If you still have the problem then you likely have a hardware problem like a bad battery.
