I plan on replacing this phone with an iphone 5s when it comes out but I need this phone to work until then.

When you did the restore, did you restore from a backup or restore as new? The final step of user troubleshooting is to restore as a new device, not from a backup. If you restore as a new device and the camera still does not function, it is probably a hardware issue. Make an appointment at the Apple Store Genius Bar and have the device checked by a Genius.

I'm having the same problem as well with my U.S. bought iPad 2.
My problem occures when I try to switch from the back camera to the front camera, then the shutter will not open. I've tried everything: turning off, hard reboot, reset to factory, and re-applying firmware... still nothing.

If your speaker is broken, then you may need to get a repair done.
Are you unable to hear anything at all, or is it just one speaker in particular?
If it is just one speaker, where's it located?

IPhone 4 camera shutter won't open when on WIFI

SInce upgrading to iOS 5.0.1 on my iPhone 4 the camera app's shutter won't open when on wifi. Works fine when on 3g.
I reset the phone, restored the os, turned on an off location services, etc etc and nothing works.
Anyone else have this issue or have a solution for this?

Camera shutter PROBLEM SOLVED on my iPhone 4. It looks the shutter locking is due to moisture. I dried the phone using the cold very dry air from an air conditioner outlet for one hour. The shutter began opening lickety split, better than ever before.(refrigerator or freezer wll not work!!!! - will not dry the phone internals) .
A guy on Youtube suggested drying out an iPhone 3 in the sun to solve Wifi operation problem and I decided to try on my iPhone 4. The trick worked, camera shutter opens in about 1/2 second rather than 4 or 5 seconds or never. To remove moisture from the phone, I suggest the A/C trick as more effective and safer than sun or hair drier. Other possibility could be the 2 day jar of rice treatment. RS in Kuala Lumpur

Hard reset. Hold the top lock button & Home Screen button til you see the White apple. Try camera afterwards.

TS4079 Since the latest IOS update Siri is not working correctly on my IPhone 4S. What happened?

Any help in understanding why Siri is not working properly would be most appreciated. Siri has not been working properly since I received the update to iOS 6.0. Siri acts as though it is looking for an answer or making an appointment for several minutes , but never answers the questions, makes the appointment, or Siri give nonsense answers. As of this moment, Siri is of no use to me at all.

Try these steps in order
-Restart iPad
-Hard reset(Hold power and home button until it restarts)
-Backup and restore
After the restore, set it up as new iPad. That way we can tell if it is the software or a hardware issue.

I'm having problems with iphone 5 spacebar not responding at times, all my messages are no spaced even thougj i'm tapping spacebar. Having to hold it a bit longer to get a response. How do i fix this? I have already done a restore to factory settings.

It must be a problem with the sensors under the screen.Have you ever dropped th phone down or in water?If so that is the cause.Restoring wont help you.You will have to take it to Apple and see what they say.

Camera shutter won't open in iphone 5

I just got a new Iphone 5 as a warranty replacement. The camera feature doesn't work. The shutter remains closed. The video doesn't work. My flashlight app won't work. I've tried a hard close on the camera app. I've tried turning the phone off and on again. The camera is not restricted. It seems to be a software problem but I don't know how to download a new driver if that is how these phones work. Please help.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

I'm sure if you brought it in & explained your situation they'd replace it or try to fix it. You could also call Apple Care & perhaps they would mail you replacement. I personally would call Apple Care & most likely they will suggest you update to latest update but ask first whether that would jeopardize returning it....I don't think it should but I'm a cautious person

Did you try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes up again? You will not lose data doing a reset.
If this does not help, set it up as new device again, without using the latest backup.

Have you tried rebooting your iPhone by pressing and holding both the Home and Sleep buttons at the same until the Apple symbol appears ignoring the power off slider?
