If you need to use the phone now, try using speaker phone until you can take it to an Apple store and have them further look into the problem.

I received a carrier unlock through AT&T. I restored my phone in itunes and received the "congratulation your iphone is now unlocked" message. I am currently living in Belgium and using the Mobistar network. I have bought several sim cards, and none of the sim cards will activate. I can receive calls but not place them. According to the mobostar representative, this is not even possible. I have restored the phone several times using different sim cards.
Is there potentially a problem with the phone itself? Everything is showing as if it should work, but I am unable to fix the problem - as well as the service provider here cannot.

Have you tried these two:
Toggle Airplane mode on and off. Wait five seconds between the on and off modes.
Reset Network Settings. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

If you have the computer that you first setup the phone with iTunes then just connect the phone to that computer via. the USB cable and see if a sync can be done.

Yikes! I want you to be able to make phone calls on your cell phone! I would recommend what others have stated on here as well. Remove the sim card for a good 30 seconds while the phone is off. Then try to make the phone call again. Have you ever replaced the sim card on your device before? I am running Windows 7 64 bit ultimate and have the same problem. My hard drive crashed, installed a new one and then reinstalled CS5 extended. Installation went fine, but can no longer open my camera RAW files from Photoshop (camera is a Canon EOS T2i. The message also tells me I am not eligible for the update. First take the steps recommended in this support article. If there's no change, continue as follows.
Back up all data.

Did you activate roaming before going abroad?
Click on EE & ME and where it says My Account, click on Devices and Usage and enable it from there, cllick on EE & ME and where it says travel and shopping click on using phone abroad.

Hi,
Kindly create a new layer, via the Layers panel:
Then, right click on the navigation bar, and choose Move to Layer > Layer 2
Ensure that Layer 2 is on top of the other layers.

It can take more than a few attempts before Recovery Mode will work and you have to follow the steps exactly. DFU mode is even harder to perform correctly beside of the 10 second hold. Don't stop trying. Eventually one of these methods could work for you.

I got my iPhone 4s in America and they told me as long as i have the chip in i can use any sim card i want in the uk, when i come back home the simcard i use normal won't work in it then i tried using different simcard which was Lyca mobile and it works expect i can't text and it say no service at all what should i Do

I have had signal problems since I have got this phone which is an s4 my wife s3 mini gets better signal while at the same location. Tried everything customer service doesn't know and now I can't even make or receive a call. I can though send and receive text and use data but when I try to make a call it just says dialing then quits. Anyone trying to call says it will ring until voicemail but I never got the call. Can anyone help

HELP! Can make outgoing VoIP calls but no incoming

I am hoping someone can help me out here! I am trying to get a Cisco Small Business unified communication device to connect through my DSL service. I am using a SIP trunk registration through ViaTalk and can register on their server and make outgoing calls without issue. I have yet to be able to receive incoming calls. I spent 6+ hours on the phone with Cisco tech support and they tell me it is my router blocking the incoming traffic. I set my modem/router up with a DMZ, have tried to forward all port, disabled SIP ALG and still nothing. When I called ViaTalk to see if they noticed incoming calls on their SIP server they said that everything looked good except that the port that is used for the communication seems to be altered. Does anyone know if this is something that Verizon may/may not be doing? Outgoing calls are handled on port 5060, but the ViaTalk tech support said that the request was coming through on the incoming side on port 56739. I am using a Netgear DGND3300 because the Westell 7500 is better used as a paper weight.

So, with that said, has the OP had any luck getting the log files for us to look at? We should be seeing traffic coming from ViaTalk when incoming calls come in and that's what we need to see.
Also, not clear if you have the Verizon gear still in the loop here or are justing usng the Netgear. If the Verizon modem is in the picture, is it operating in bridge mode (not router mode)?

I have a full strength wifi signal (currently at home and with my personal hotspot) but apps that need the internet including google chrome and safari do not search. Safari says "safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding." other apps just spin like it is searching for a signal or something. Frustrating, because it was working, it seems to have taken this route after uploading some new apps, but can't pinpoint. Help! Please!
