  • Iphone 4s stuck in headphones mode

    Hi
i have iphone 4s and i have problem with it
i have stuck in headphones mode
can anybody help me about that and thank you very much

There's an Apple article about this here -> iPhone: Can't hear through the receiver or speakers
You might be able to fix it by spraying compressed air into the jack, to try and get whatever is in there out.

  • Iphone 5 stuck in headphone mode

My iphone 5 purchased on its release got stuck in headphone mode. Though I have never used headphone on my iphone. I have tried keeping in firdge for a min, plug in pplug out headphone jack, reset all settings but no use.
    PLease help me!

Are you connected to wifi? And do you have an airplay device in your house or where you are at?
First thing to try is plugging headphones in the jack and then back out to see if that works.
Check the jack to see if there is anything in the jack that may be causing to be stuck in headphone mode.
Let me know know if none of these work and maybe we can try other things. Try also turning off the phone and back on too.

  • IPhone 5s stuck in headphone mode

So when I tried to listen to some music at lunch today there and wasn't any sound coming from the speakers. I found out the phone was stuck in headphone mode. I've tried everything; from Q tips to blowing air into the audio jack but nothing seems to work. When listening to music the sound is much louder in my right ear than the left and I can hear crackling and barely noticeable static (tested with two pairs of headphones). What should I do, should I take it to a Genius Stand and pay a ridiculous amount to get it fixed or wait it out and hope it fixes itself.

    Hello Toronto 61,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
There are still some troubleshooting steps to go through before it's isolated to being a hardware issue.  The troubleshooting steps can be found in the following article:
iPhone: No sound or distorted sound from speaker

  • Iphone 4 stuck in headphone mode

Iphone is stuck in headphone mode

Up & Down buttons on the side show "headphones" when it should say "ringer"
iphone thinks headphones are in the jack (even though they aren't).  I just had this problem today and was able to fix it by putting my ear buds in several times and pulling them back out.  Then I used a can of compressed air to blow out the headphone jack.  Took a couple times, but it's back to allowing me to hear my callers.

  • New iphone 5 stuck in headphone mode.

I can't hear the caller on the other line and speakers won't work. When I turn the volume up or down using side buttons, display shows "ringer (headphones)". How do I fix this?

  • IPhone 6 stuck in headphone mode

I woke up this morning to find that the speaker no longer works properly. If someone calls me I can hear that sound with no headphones, but if I try to play music or something through the speaker it doesn't work. If I try to change the volume while headphones are not in, the phone still changes the headphone volume. I can hear everything fine when I put in headphones. I'm away at school and I'm nowhere close to an apple store, are there any know fixes to get it out of headphone mode? I already tried turning it off/on and cleaning out the jack.

Basic Troubleshooting Steps when all else fails
    - Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear.  (For iOS 6 older, hold down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.)
    - Relaunch the App and try again.
    - Restart the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    - Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
    - Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)
    - Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
    - Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137  For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.
    - Test the issue after each step.  If the last one does not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware problem.

  • My iPhone is stuck on headphone mode, and won't come off. I have tried turning it on and off, hard resets and putting head phones in and out. Any suggestions?

    help please

    - if there is lint in the head phone jack that will cause the phone to think headphones are in there, use compressed air to blow out the jack, if the problem persists, then call 800.my.apple and if the phone is under warrenty they can help you.

  • My iPhone is stuck in headphone mode...

so i dropped my iphone 4 in the dog bowl. I immediately took it out and took the case off. grabbed a bowl of rice and stuck it in there for about 20-30 minutes. then i took it out, took the sim card out, and i got one of those air cans and sprayed it in all the openings. i then put it back in the rice for another hour or two... i took it out turned it on and it was working great until i noticed my ringer was clicked on but when i got a text it didnt make a sound. so i clicked the volume button and it said "(headphones)" i got the air can and sprayed it in the headphone hole and it didnt work...i tried spraying it in the charger hole just to see what happened... and i took a pair of headphones and i put then in and took them out like 5 times....
i dont know what else to do!! please help!
    thank you so much

Did you ever find a solution for this, i'm going through the same thing on my iPhone 4s

  • IPhone 5, stuck in "Headphones" mode

No sound coming from phone speakers because the phone thinks there are headphones engaged. Tried cleaning headphone port, reboot, turn off wifi-cellular data and reboot, engaged & dis-engaged headphones multiple times, pressing on glass at jack area...no luck. Assuming it's a IOS 7.0.2 issue that just developed.
NO LUCK any suggestions I've not mentioned above??!!

In addition, I just rolled back to 8.1.1 and the problem is persisting.  I could really use some help on this....

  • IPhone stuck in "headphones" mode....

My iPhone appears to be stuck in "headphones" mode. Sound works fine through headphones when they're plugged in, but when headphones aren't plugged in, I get no sound at all from the phone. When I adjust the volume with the buttons on the side, the display says "Ringer (headphones)." Help!

I had exactly the same experience as Spartan95. My iPhone got stuck in headphones mode just before a business trip, and stayed that way for 2 weeks before I could get to the Genius Bar. I tried resetting, compressed air, restoring... and nothing worked. The Genius attempted a restore in the store, and when that didn't solve the issue, handed me a new phone. Too bad there isn't a manual software "switch" available in the phone's options panel. Oh, well....

  • Dropped phone and stuck on headphone mode

Ok I dropped my iPhone while listening to pandora but I didn't have my headphones in. When it fell my speakers got a little wet and now I can't hear anything because my iPhone is stuck on headphone mode. Can anybody help me get off that mode????

If no change after inserting and removing your earbuds or headphones several times in a row, your iPhone has hardware damage from the drop and from getting wet.

Restore it from your most recent backup or from the computer Calendar app you sync your iPhone with via iTunes.
