My Iphone 4 just updated to the iOS6. I've connected it to my computer for the first time since then, and wanted to back up my photos in iPhoto. However, although Iphoto recognized my phone, it shows no photos to upload or backup. ??

However, although Iphoto recognized my phone, it shows no photos to upload or backup. It lists my phone in the "devices" category on the left bar, but no longer shows any of my photos.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I've reread your question several times and am not sure I understand it.
Are you trying to basically start over, as if you just took your iPhone out of the box? If so, do:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings

It can't do that by itself. You had to click through several prompts telling it to restore it from a backup of an old phone for that to happen.
If the phone was not backed up to iCloud before this happened, or to another computer, then the data is gone. There is no way to recover it. -

You could have more 5 computers authorized if you ever, for example, reformatted a hard drive or replaced a hard drive without deauthorizing the computer first. You won't lose any data. Mistimp is correct, they can't tell you which computers are authorized. -
I have recently upgraded to the latest version of itunes. I have just tried to access itunes for the first time since upgrading and now I get a message saying I do not have the appropriate permissions to access it. It will not launch at all. I have also recently changed my ISP, help anyone?

ThanksYes, the reason you are getting the error is the phone cannot provide internet for the laptop and then update itself. It would lose connection as you erase the firmware and try to update. You need to connect the computer to the Internet in some other fashion before you connect the phone to try and fix the update problem. As Ocean20 says, and I completely agree, how would you think you could use the Internet connection of a device that is not only going to turn off and on, but is going to get completely wiped of firmware and restored? It would completely remove the device from the equation here. Does that make sense to you?

I cannot get my ipod touch or iphone to be recognized by Itunes on my mac mini. Only when i download itunes each time afresh, will it show up the first time. Then these devices will not be recognized subsequently. Is it because i am not uninstalling itunes before I download it? Surely this is a basic thing, ie that my devices need to recognize each other?

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- Try on another computer

I have 2 point security for AppleID. My iPhone 4S is listed as my trusted phone to text. No tel. no. is given. I am updating to iPhone 6Plus with same tel. no. Do I need to change anything for the sign in verification?
Of course You can also add your iPhone telephone # as a trusted device.
This way when you insert your SIM card into any phone, Apple will automatically recognize your cell phone # as a
trusted device (may be handy if iphone breaks but you insert SIM card into another phone).
HOWEVER:
Having also your iPhone as a trusted device, is convenient if you travel and use a different SIM card
at destination. This way you can still use the iphone for verification, even though you are using a different
phone #.

While downloading the latest IOS update to my iPhone 4S, my phone went into a frozen state with the update 2/3's complete. It's remained like this for the past 12 hours. I can't turn the phone off, and I can't connect it to iTunes. Anyone know what to do?
If the place of purchase does not have a 'Lemon' policy (three replacements = refund or complete exchange), sadly you are out of luck.
And Apple themselves do not have any power over what policy a reseller uses. You can call Apple Care and have them replace it, but the odds are you would probably get a standard replacement again like has previously happened. I'm pretty sure Apple holds their own sort of 'Lemon' polocy where if it's been replaced three times through them they'll swap it out for a brand new phone. Not 100% sure though, best bet is too call them again.
And it ***** getting a response like that from their support personel, but hey, they can't all be that bad can they? I'm sure if you plead your case they'll try and help out. I've dealt with them in the past and had one or two people that rubbed me the wrong way, but most of them have been a great help and kept me a happy customer, haha.

I recently updated a friends iPhone 3 to I cloud , however some contacts have disappeared. These seem to be the ones that were added onto her phone and not her sim. As I have done a sim import. This is the first time she has ever done a back up and sync.

my problem is, all my pictures got deleted from my phone, all my contacts got deleted also......weird thing is it put pictures on my phone from another phone and also txt msg from another phone...... has this ever happened to anyone else? if so,....do you know how, or where the pictures got moved to? and if they were deleted, is there a way to pull deleted pictures form a phones memory?? thank you any body that can give me any assistance....i really need it...It can't do that by itself.
