My iPhone 4 plays music at a low volume when connected to a car stereo either by fm transmitter or aux cable. The volume on the phone is full and the car stereo is full yet you can barely hear it. Anyone else had issues with this
I seem to remember someone several months ago having this same problem and I think it turned out to be the AUX cord.
FM transmitters tend to have low volume associated with them as well from my experience.

When I want to play music out loud the volume bar disappears and it won't play music or any sound. This sometimes happens with head phones in aswell. How do I fix it? I have tried to reset settings and wipe all the data of it but it didn't work.help!
Although you say you have let the battery drain, was it for long enough? Since nothing else that you've tried so far has worked, I suggest that you leave the iPod unplugged for at least four days, preferably a week. That way, if something is stopping the iPod from turning the screen on, then whatever it is will drain the battrey. However, since the screen isn't on, that may take longer than if the screen was on.
Then, after that time, plug the iPod into a power source and leave it alone for at least thirty minutes. Only after thirty minutes will it show any signs of life, but you should leave it until it is fully charged before trying to use it.
If you get to this stage, the fact that the battery has drained will cause the iPod to reset when it springs back to life.

This is a semi-new problem, ongoing for several months. I've purchased songs from iTunes before and they play just fine on my Nano when connected to an audio jack cable, but for some reason, anything downloaded in the last few months plays at an insanely low volume. Normally, if I hit the advance button on the Nano to skip to the next song I'll hear a split second of the song at normal volume, but that's it.
I've restored both the iPod and my iTunes (using a Dell laptop, Windows 7) multiple times but to no avail. The songs play fine in iTunes itself, but I've even noticed a decrease in volume when listening to the songs on headphones. I'm beyond frustrated with this as I can't find any support online in the Apple archives, and I can't listen to any of my new music without burning to disc. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!I have, a couple different pairs, unfortunately, and still no change. TBH, the headphones don't bug me nearly as bad as the fact that I can't plug my iPod into a radio or speaker with an audio cable and hear my latest purchases. Drives me crazy that I can't listen to my tunes!

I have a new laptop with Windows 8 as operating system. Installed latest version of iTunes ontop computer. I can play music in My Library but when I click on iTunes, I get the message " iTunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify if a solution is available."
Anyone know what is the cause and if there is a resolution? Have tried to re-installing iTunes and have also tried restoring laptop to an earlier date.iPad not appearing in iTunes

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

No, you cannot seperate the audio and video stream.
You can use optical audio to a sound system (I use sony sound bar) and play the audio via that.

My new iphone 5s doesn't have any volume when I call someone. I can see from the screen that it is calling them, but I cannot hear anything. Also when they answer my call, I cannot hear them.
Turn the volume up... in call volume and sounds (ring, notifications, etc) are seperate volume controls.

Ios 8.3/iPhone 6 problem connecting to Pioneer car stereo
Pioneer model AVH-X2600.
There are two ways to connect to my car stereo to play music: iPod mode or Bluetooth. Prior to 8.3 the BT connection would automatically pause my music after about 10 seconds. After I push Play on the stereo it would continue on without issue. Following the 8.3 update, after about 10 seconds on the BT connection there is this awful scratching/skipping noise, not unlike a skipping cd. But after 5-10 seconds of that, everything is back to normal.
Prior to 8.3 the iPod mode would take a good 20 secs to connect, but then everything would play normally. Now, with 8.3, it won't connect at all.
I don't have any problems with BT connections to other speakers, so maybe this is a Pioneer problem?? Anyone else having this same problem?Apple is messing with car connectivity for the new car functionality. The "updates" are breaking iPod mode on multiple vehicles. iOS 8.4 Beta 1 is even worse. Connects fine but most functionality is broken.

Somehow I do have my 5th gen. iPod set up to sync automatically with the same iTunes / computer. But I do not actually see a checkbox for either device.

my iphone 4 will not turn on but when connected to the pc in itunes it says my device is in recovery mode and when i do SHIFT restore and select my ipsw it extracts then this 3914 error message appears. i normal restore then it this error message appears 1601. and my iphone is in RECOVERY mode. and holding the power button and the home button doesnt do anything my latops just makes a ding sound after 6seconds. After updating to IOS 7.0.6 my iPhone 5 wont connect to my car stereo.
Last night i happily listened to my iPhone through my car stereo, got home, updated to the new IOS 7.0.6 and went to bed.
Having got into my car this morning, i plugged in my phone to find that it would not connect and the car stereo just kept searching.
