Help my iphone is stuck on the home screen doest let me unlock it
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).
Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Even i had a same issue on my iphone 3gs. Its a boot memory issue and can be resolved in two ways
1. You need to remove the battery and keep it for 20mins(Which is lil complicated if u donot know how to remove) then place it back so that it refreshes the memory and starts fresh boot.
OR
2. Dry out the battery completely ensure it dies without battery , keep it saftely without charging for a week(7days mandatory) and after a week start charging . This procedure ensure that once the battery is completely dried it will refresh the boot memory and starts with fresh boot . This process is same as the above
As i donot recommend removing the battery as the procedure is complicated and factory fit is not obtained, you may also end up with loose screws hence i would recommend going with 2nd step , let me know if you have any questions.

I tried to unlock my iphone by sliding the bar, but nothing happens, the phone is not frozen because the backround still moves, but i cant unlock it or answer calls. i tried the hard reset but it didnt work either. any help apreciated.
Thanks.Try connecting the iPhone to iTunes and don't even try to slide to unlock ...just let it bring iTunes App up and then do a Sync.

After I hv upgraded os 6 on my iPhone 4, iPhone hung up at least one per day. After u press "End" 2 times at fast speed ( i used to do this in the old os without problem) or when u slide to unlock - the screen suddenly enlarge . I need to reset the phone whenever this happen. Pls help
I Have fumbled all day to this resolved, I'll run the battery down and see what happens afterwards. This is not good !

I have a iphone 4 which was purchased in the UK 2 yrs back. I use this phone in india. Since today morning the screen has become unresponsive and i am not able to use the slider to unlock the screen to be able to make or recieve calls or perform any other fuction on my phone. I spoke to apple customer care in india about this problem and they suggested to try restoring the phone which didnt work out. Now they say that I will have to get this repaired in the UK since apple doesnt have apple stores and service centers in India. I think it is some hardware issue. I am not in a position to send it back to UK since i dont have any friends or relatives there in the UK nor i am traveling to the UK at this point in time. Pls help me out and suggest how can i get my phone replaced in India.

My iphone 4s wont slide from one screen to the next and I have to double tap on each icon to open it. I can hear siri talking and telling me what each icon or button I press is. How do I fix this problem? I have restored my phone to last saved but the problem still remains.
My problem was fixed via your suggestion. Thanks. Then I heard, though it hasn't been substantiated by anyone I know, that pushing the the round "start" button after the unit is on three rapid times will solve the problem. Do you know if this is valid info?

Force iPad into Recovery Mode
1. Turn off iPad
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times. -

i have 5gb of icloud storage, used 2.5gb but it wont let me unlock the other 2.5gb of storage. How can i use the remainig 2.5gb of storage?
I got rid of AMDS, ASU ,QuickTime and iTunes from control ones I also found folder in Vista with D:\Users\Rick\Music\iTunes\Previous iTunes Library and there is one dated 2009-03012.itl. I moved this file up one folder and delted existing iTunes Library.itl. iTune still failed to identify my iPhone. There are other files iTunes Library Extras.itdb, iTunes Library Geniyes,itdn and iTunes Music Library,xml date dtd 06/18/2009 after upgrade except the latter which is date 06/23/2009. So something is not allowing me to pull or put everything back to when it worked.
YES this is my only iPhone and only PC I have access to with iTunes.

I checked these out too and they appear the same printed out nearly a week prior. I agree with Coach TO, if I had bad drivers or Vista errors it would not have shown up only when I updated to latest Version of 8.2.023. My Phone was identified on a PC with iTunes at the local AT&T store. He suggested I get phone into Recovery made while connected to iTunes and that resolves the problem 9 out of 10 time. Weak spot was he tried to get phone into Recovery without iTunes connection and thought I may have iPhone problem, then changed his mind when it worked while connected. He also stated it could take an hour. I have not tried to put my iPhone in Recovery lately, I think I did a while back and it failed to go into Recovery as error "iPhone detected by, not identified..."Has anyone tried forcing phone into Recovery? I understand you may lose all that is on phone. If iTunes still fails to identify would we not be in worse shape even if iTunes holds a recent backup which it does not for many of us? Will Apple take back or exchange phone if yours is not identitifed, AT&T today told me I had to go to Apple Store for this or anything to happen. -

Hopefully someone can help.... I have an Iphone 5 and want to create a music video playlist on my phone so then i can play through my apple tv... but when i make a playlist in itunes and try to add it over to my iphone it wont let me sync the playlist...? I have already added the music videos to my iphone so that is not the problem.... i cant seem to figure out how to make a playlist for them... IE: to make the videos play consecutively in the order i want without stopping after each video and gong back to the list.... this is what i have had to resort to make it work....what i want to do....is be able to make a playlist of videos on my iphone 5....take my apple tv to friends houses and with wifi....set up apple tv and play videos at the party and not have to stand by with the remote and find a new video to play stopping the music between the songs/videos....very annoying....and have spent over 4 hours one day and an hour and a half today on the phone today with a sr. advisor with apple and they have no clue.... this seems sooooo simple.... please somebody that really knows how to do this....i will be indebted forever...............

My iphone 4 wont play sound through the internal speaker. Will play if I hook up headphones. I have reset it, restored it, and it does the same thing. I can still hear when i make calls too. The the output button only says dock connector or apple tv.
If the phone has ever gotten wet it may be damaged. It may also have dirt or a bent pin in the dock connector or the earphone jack. Try cleaning the dock connector and inspecting it with a magnifying glass. Try inserting and removing the earphone plug several times. If you have restored it and that did not fix the problem damage is the most likely cause.

The bottom part of my iPod Touch screen isn't responding but I can slide to unlock the screen and slide the icons at the bottom but I just can't click on them, anyway to solve this?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
