My iphone 4s has a box around one of the icons and i have to double click on an icon to get anything to work and it won't reset either?
I'm no sure what to do with my phone. I have an iphone 4s that has an outlined box around whatever icon i touch. It won't reset either. It also is working slow too. I have to double click on whatever icon i'm trying to use just to get it to work.
Answered in another thread. Probably you have Voice-Over activated in the Settings...general...Accessibility section.
Triple-click your Home button to toggle it off agin maybe?

Try charging the iPhone via a wall socket for at least 30 minutes then try a reset by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 20 seconds (maybe longer) until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider. Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.

My iphone 4s wont slide from one screen to the next and I have to double tap on each icon to open it. I can hear siri talking and telling me what each icon or button I press is. How do I fix this problem? I have restored my phone to last saved but the problem still remains.
My problem was fixed via your suggestion. Thanks. Then I heard, though it hasn't been substantiated by anyone I know, that pushing the the round "start" button after the unit is on three rapid times will solve the problem. Do you know if this is valid info?

With Voice Over, you highlight whatever you are trying to select and then double tap anywhere on the screen to select.
So for your password of 1234 you have to
"Highlight 1, then double tap the screen, Highlight 2, the double tap the screen,... etc."
In order to remove you have 2 options:
Option# 1 – Turn off Voice Over
Go to setting by, highlight "SETTING
Double tap screen to go into settings
Use 3 fingers to (swipe) scroll of down and highlight "GENERAL"
Double tap screen to go into general
Use 3 fingers to (swipe) scroll of down and then highlight “ACCESSIBILITY”
Double tap screen to go into accessibility
Once you are in make sure that EVERYTHING in that section are shown as “OFF”
Option #2 - Reset your Phone
Go to setting by, highlight "SETTING
Double tap screen to go into settings
Use 3 fingers to (swipe) scroll of down and highlight "GENERAL"
Double tap screen to go into general
Use 3 fingers to (swipe) scroll of down and then highlight “RESET”
Double tap screen to go into reset
Select “Reset all setting” and continue to follow the instruction
(When you reset, all of your data and music WILL NOT erase. So don’t worry about that)

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them. -

I would first try unplugging All the USB devices plugged into your computer, and then plug back in just the iPhone and see if that is recognized. Also, do you have the latest version of iTunes for Windows installed on your PC, as you need to?

Sounds like you have a stroke on it. Select the frame and set the stroke to none.

Every time I touch my Iphone 4s a box appears around whatever I touch and Siri tells me what I am touching and I have to double tap it to bring the app up. It also won't let me scroll up or down and scrolling sideways is difficult.

A text like box has appeared on the screen of my iphoe and this has to be over the app I want to use. I then have to double click on the icon for it to open. I cannot scroll across or down. I can access the apps but because it will not scroll I cannot access all of the screen. Can nayone help please???
It sounds like VoiceOver is partially on. First try triple pushing the Home button. This may turn VoiceOver off. If that doesn't work going to Settings/General/Accessibility and make sure VoiceOver is Off. Note you may have to use 3 fingers on the screen to scroll.

My Mac mini server has suddenly stopped seeing one or the other bluetooth devices, either the wireless keyboard or the mouse( both apple products) have tried new batteries, at first it was the mouse that stopped responding, but upon rebooting the computer now the keyboard will not respond and the mouse works. Both work fine on an older Mac mini that I hooked back up to check.
There is absolutely no reason why they should not bothe be able to connect to your WiFi network. The easiest place to start would be to reboot your router. Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again. I would also restart both the iPad and the iPhone.

My iPhone 5s has stopped playing music out of the speakers. It works when I plug in my headphones but other than that there's no sound. It just randomly happened so I'm not sure if I can fix it or if I need to bring my phone in. Help?

To my recent notice, my iPhone 4S has not been backed up from the time I bought it (4 months ago). After which everytime I go into the <Back-up now> option, it says that 'Last backup could not be completed'. Any suggestions on solving this please

Not with they limited information you have provided so far. Are you backing up to iCloud or to iTunes on your computer? Do you have the latest version of iTunes on your computer? Was it installed from a Windows or Mac user ID that had administrator privileges? Does the phone show up in iTunes? What is your operating system? Are you using a USB port directly on your computer (not a hub)? If it's a USB port on the computer and you have a desktop or tower computer is the port on the back, not on the front? -
I was in the middle of the iOS 8 update and tried to turn my phone off (yes, I realize this was dumb) But what happened was it tried to reset. Now, my iphone 4s has the connect to itunes screen. I have tried to reset, recover, etc but I keep getting and error -51 message. Any ideas how I can get my phone working again? I am not worried about saving any info just having a phone to use!
Try a Hard Reset.....
Press and hold the Wake / Sleep button AND the Home button at the same time, keep them both pressed until the Apple Logo appears on the screen, it can take 10 or more seconds. Ignore the swipe to turn off message.
