It still vibrates but no calling sounds or message sounds. It's not on mute and the speakers are working... I can hear music etc.
Oh yeah no keypad noises either.
Same thing has happened to me. I have tried every trick that's been posted here. I just ran out of options. Galaxy phone is starting to look better by the minute.

So my I phone 4s volume has decided to pack allowing only my phone to make sounds when I have an incoming call, I can also here fine using facetime and receiving calls. YouTube, soundcloud, any of I players will no longer play sound. I've restored the phone using iTunes on my laptop and checked all the volumes are turned up and the button at the left hand Side of the phone is in the correct position.
Try inserting and re-inserting your headphones 7 or 8 times. Also try cleaning out the headphone jack in case of debris that might be interfering with the connection/disconnection.

My iPhone 5 stopped ringing. Changing the button on the side doesn't do anything anymore . Also I have no sound on my apps. When I test a ring tone it works, but when I have an incoming call Nothing happens. Can anyone help?
Thx, apple master and stedman but tried all of it and still doesn't ring . I have sound on my videos and YouTube tho. Very strange.

The first troubleshooting steps I would recommend in this situation would be restarting and if the issue continues, resetting the iPhone.

My iPhone 5c will not alert with sound or onscreen when phone is locked or unlocked. Do not disturb is disabled.
First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting.
If this does not work, set it up as new device, explained in this article, without using the latest backup.
How to back up your data and set up as a new device
If it works after that, restore from the latest backup to get your data and settings back.
Before you start resetting and setting up the phone again as new,
did you check in Settings/Notifications/Messages, that "show on screen" and the "notification sound" is enabled as well? -
Sound on my iPad 2 stopped working 3 days later after installing iOS 7. I already have tried turning off the iPad and returning back on, and a Reset, which neither worked. My sound only works using the ear phones. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
Have you checked the mute switch on the right side, above the volume button?

Iphone 4s, Does not ring and vibrate when there is an incoming call. It shows as missed.
Just bought a new iPhone 4 s and realised that sometime I could see missed calls without hearing the phone ringing. Tried several times with an other phone to place a call and could see that when phone goes in standby (screen black) and there is an incoming call the phone does not ring or vibrate. It does start to ring only if I press the round button. Has anybody experienced the problem? Can you help me? Thanks

IPhone 4 shutting down and only vibrate when I have a phone call
I had my iPhone 4 About four weeks and 2 days before when someone calls me my screen goes black and none from the buttons response. What can I do? If I go to the apple store they will give me a new one?
Standard troubleshooting steps in order are:
Power your iPhone off and on.
If no change, try an iPhone reset which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so. A Reset does not affect any data or settings.
Restore your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup.
Restore your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup.
If no change after the last step, make an appointment at the Genius Bar at an Apple store if there is one nearby. The iPhone includes a one year warranty. Be sure to sync your iPhone with iTunes immediately before going to the Apple store for your appointment to update your iPhones' backup and any data kept synchronized with a supported application on your computer such as contacts and calendar events. -
Some videos that are taken with my iphone's camera are not making sounds, this problem occured today to all videos i recorded starting from today, please help
It also takes time for the photos to be transferred out of your iPhone and into Photo stream on Apple's iCloud servers.
Note that this can't happen if your iPhone is not connected to a WiFi network:
When you enable My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your photo stream.
iOS devices: New photos you take are automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections.
Macs: Any new photos you import to iPhoto or Aperture begin uploading automatically when you have a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Or you can change your iPhoto or Aperture preferences so that only photos you manually add to My Photo Stream are uploaded.
PC with iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later: Open a Windows Explorer window and under Favorites select iCloud Photos if you are using iCloud Control Panel 3.0 (or Photo Stream if you are using 2.0 to 2.1.2). Open My Photo Stream. Click the "Add photos" button. Select the photos to import to My Photo Stream, then click Open.

My iphone 4 speakers stopped giving me sounds when i play audio or video even while gaming. It works fine when ringing tunes of for voice mails, even works fine with headsets. What is wrong with it?
well i'd seriosly say point a hot hair drier at the speakers as water has entered the phone most commonly via the home button but avoid getting it too hot let it cool every 3 minutes after constant drying. Don't worry I have honestly dont this with my iPhone 4 GSM 16GB. For future reference avoid letting it get wet.

I no longer get sounds when I send/receive email. I have used the Help and turned the sound on inside the email preferences as well as in the System Preferences. I do get sounds when I go to the web. Any suggestions?

I did have one website up listening to something.
Pulled another up.
Paused the first, to quickly hear what the other was going to be about.
So... I was hitting "Pause" and "Play" on one then the other.
...when the audio stopped out.
Almost as if something got "confused" (to be anthropomorphic)

i am not getting notification on most of my apps, e.g twitter and facebook...except i go to the app and refreshed manually. its an iphone 4 and running on ios5...i have gone through everything and its still the same..help please........
I seem to be having the same problem on my brand new iPhone 4S. Everything was working fine on the phone until I updated to iOS 5.1.1, but now I no longer receive push notifications for the native Mail app, Instagram, or the Facebook app. I still seem to be receiving SMS texts and iMessages via push, but the aforementioned apps need to be opened before I can receive missed notifications (having them open in the background seems to make no difference).
