My iphone 5 will not restore keep showing me error 1....I tried different usb ports
My Iphone 5 will not come out of recover mode It stops like 75% of the way, and show error 1 while trying to restore it.....I have tried different usb ports restarting the computer.....what else can I do?

This Error usually indicates a Hardware issue with the Device... However...
Make sure you have the Latest Version of iTunes (v11.1.5) Installed on your computer

press the power button for 3 secons then while holding the power button press the home button and hold the 2 for 10 secons ifso far you have done corectly the screen will go white and power of after this happens let go of the power button but keep holding the home button for 15 secons your phones screen should stay blank and if done corectly itunes will recogniz the phone the your phone is in dfu mode after your phone is recognized in your pc/mac dont press anf buttons on your phone you should be able to do a restore while in dfu mode if this comes up with erorr -1 you need to retry the prosess 2 more times until sucsesfully if you get any other errors please tell me what thay are so i can see if its software or a hardware fault please also send me the modle number this can be found on the back of your phone -

I was trying to update iphone 4 with new iOS 7 and all of a suddent the phone is stuck in restoration mode and while trying to update with new iOS, it give an error message that reads like "iphone could not restored. An unknown error occured (16)" in itune page. I am not able to figure out what is causing it and how could it be resolve? please help with the probable options.
If you read the error messages in the support document that you linked from, you can see that error 16 can be traced to either a USB error, or a hardware error. I would try the recommendations under those sections in the support document and see if you can take care of it. Otherwise, I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar at Apple to have the hardware checked.

My computer runs on Windows 7, and I've installed and updated the latest versions of itunes etc, but still to no avail! I've tried different usb ports, troubleshooting, etc... But it still says "One of the USB decuces arrached to this omputer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it".
The iPod is brand new, sent to me by Apple as part of the 1st gen replacement programme. I've been using the cable that came with the 1st gen iPod (I bought the first gen second hand) It always worked on my computer with the 1st gen iPod. So I was wondering, do you think I need to replace my cable in order for my PC to recognize my iPod or is it something else?

My iphone5 freezes my iTunes v11 when connected and I cannot sync or do anything. I have reinstalled iTunes, tried different USB ports, ran diagnostics and said phone not recognised. Please help as have wasted nearly a day and a half trying to sort and at wits end!

I fell asleep while facetiming, I woke up and found that my iphone will not turn on, which is odd, since I was charging it. I then took it off my charger and then put it back on. The Iphone 4 then showed the Apple Insignia for about 10 seconds, then became a dark screen, then back to the insignia. It did this repeated flashing for a good ten minutes. I then took it off the charger and the phone stopped flashing and it became totally dead. I tried pressing the home button, and the top button, but there was no effect. I then plugged in my Iphone to the computer and put it into recovery mode. I tried to restore it, but it continually keeps getting an error (21). I tried it on a different computer, will not restore, but got a different error (I believe it was the error (1604)). I tried restoring it multiple times, I updated my Itunes to the latest version, I made sure my connection was well. I tried taking my Iphone off of recovery mode, but it did not work.
I suspect that my problems are due to the fact that my Iphone will not stay on without being connected to a power source, and that is the reason for all the errors. I tried it on different USB ports and different computers. Please correct me if I am wrong, and please help me figure out what I should do next. I do not mind losing all my contacts, but I do mind if I have to spend money on a new phone, afterall, I barely even had this phone for a year.
So Please, I am begging. Please help me and tell me why doesn't my phone stay on without being connected? Is it because I fell asleep while facetiming and because neither of us hung up it over-heated and killed the battery? Is there an easy way to fix this since I am technologically-impaired? Is there any hope for me and my Iphone's future?
Any answer will be very much appreciated.
Thank You.It sounds to me like you either got defective parts or otherwise did not make the repair correctly. We cannot help with self-repairs here, the iPhone officially not user servicable, but you can ask for advice in the forums on ifixit.com, a site which is dedicated to those attempting their own repairs.

Iphone will not restore - error
Hi, can anybody help me. My iphone was regulary losing network and telling me I needed to restore..so I did. Now the restore will not complete due to an error (1). I have tried this several times. Now my iphone is showing the çonnect to itunes' symbol and will not work at all.
I can't access support because the IEMI number is not recognised and I dont have any other product information because the phone is locked out.
Please helpi also had this problem with my iPhone, i put it in the dock, iTunes came up on my MacBook, then the iPhone restarted a white screen came up for about 25 seconds then an Apple came up, then the connect to iTunes logo appeared, I was puzzled as to why this had happened since i'm extremely careful & certainly would not ever jailbreak it, because its against Apple's EULA. So i click restore expecting everything to work, then I get something like "iTunes cannot connect to the iPhone "iPhone" an unknown error accrued error 21. Then i put it in DUF mode, the screen went white again, looked like the firmware was installing then that failed & now its displaying error 2001, what shall I do

Have recently upgraded iPhone 3 software to most recent and has backed up fine, but will not restore. The screen says connect to iTunes but will not be picked up on itunes at all, and will not show on my computer either ?!?!
