My iphone 5c won't install iOS 8.0.2.

Once I agree to the terms, the screen completely freezes and won't let me do anything. How do I install the update? I've tried shutting down my phone, restarting it, closing out of the system preferences and opening it again. Nothing seems to work.

  • Iphone 4s won't install ios 5.0.1

    Hi.
i am trying to update my iphone 4s to ios 5.0.1. When it tries to install it, it tells me that my firmware is not compatible.
It is a week old iphone, so their shouldn't be any problems ?

i guess, you have iOS 5.0 and trying to update to iOS 5.0.1 via iTunes.
Apple has two different builts of iOS 5.0.1 update. It caused me the same problem.
    My solution:
First, update your phone to 5.0.1 via the Wi-Fi connection of your phone. Don't connect it to your computer and iTunes. Instead, go to settings and find software update. Then, update it wirelessly. Here, you will probably get iOS 5.0.1 (built 9A405)
Later, you can connect it to iTunes again and click on restore. (don't forget to click Back up to keep your data). Then, iTunes will download and install you the newest firmware iOS 5.0.1 (9A406).
The slight difference between iOS 5.0.1 updates can create compatibility problems while updating from iOS 5.0.0, in my opinion. Wireless update brought me 9A405 and iTunes brought me 9A406. The problem was my phone couldn't get updated directly to 9A406 from regular iOS5.0. I needed to update step by step.
    I hope it helps.

  • I have iPhone 3GS, if I install iOS 4.3.5. will it be locked again?

I have iPhone 3GS, if I install iOS 4.3.5. will it be locked again?

The ONLY place can unlock an iphone is the carrrier to which it is locked and ONLY if they offer that service.
For example, AT&T in the U.S. does not unlock any iphones at all.
You can buy an unlocked iphone from the Apple Store now, but you cannot get a locked phone unlocked in the U.S.

usually i back my IPhone with ICloud, after installing IOS 5 it asked me to restore from ITunes what i have to do to restore all my contact, applications and others?

If your iPhone does not search for a wi-fi connection before you are asked whether you want to set it up as new phone or restore a backup from iTunes, then I guess you have the same issue as highlighted in this thread:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/19638850?ac_cid=tw123456#19638850
iCloud back ups can only be accessed via wi-fi that's why you are not granted this option, I have the exact same issue.

  • IOS 6 on iPhone 4 won't install

My iPhone 4 will download ios6 but it will not install it. It's gets to the "preparing download" and then it says there was a problem downloading the update and it won't install. Please help!

Keeps saying the connection timed out and to check my connections but everything is working just fine. I was able to donwload the itunes update just fine so I know its nothing to do with my connections. I get an error msg when I try to do it OTA. Says it encountered and error and to check my settings. Cant restore the phone since it needs to download the update because it always gives that error message

  • IPhone 4 won't install new apps.

Will only update old apps. When I select to install and enter my iTunes password, it flickers and goes from "installing" back to "free" or "buy". I've tried restoring and that did not help. This problem began after installing iOS 6.

Click on store and choose authorize this computer to authorise your store purchases to your computer, or you can go into your apps on your itunes then double click one and it will ask to authorize and you just have to put your apple id in. and then try syncing the apps again, this worked for me. Except I have a problem where i downloaded an app on my computer because my iphone internet couldnt download it for having too many MB and says it is loading on my iphone but the app is downloaded on my computer and still won't sync as long as it says it is "loading" on my phone.

  • Numbers app for iPhone 4 won't install

I recently had to restore my iPhone 4 because it wasn't responding. I'm running iOS 7.1.2. It It seems to be working fine now, except the Numbers App won't install from my computer to my iPhone. I'm assuming it's because my iPhone is old and the app is new. How can I get an older version of the app for my phone?

  • Iphone 6 won't allow ios 8.0.2 update

I purchased a new iphone 6 and restored it from an icloud backup.  My previous phone, an iphone 5, had ios 8.0.2 installed on it but now my new iphone 6 won't allow me to download and install the update.  My home screen shows the badge app icon on settings stating that there is a pending download, but when i select software update, i am told that the update has already been downloaded but it can't be installed until i finish restoring from icloud backup.  I have no idea what that means because all other apps have been restored and i don't know what else i can do.  I am experiencing numerous bugs and errors and would like to download the update.

    Hi there 22zach22,
It sounds like your iPhone is still restoring some items from your previous iCloud backup. You can observe the progress of this in your iCloud settings, at the bottom of the page, where it shows your iCloud storage and last backup information:
    iCloud - iPhone
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/8/#/iph3c79652c
If you feel that this restore process has stalled, you may want to perform a reset on your phone using the following article:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
For best results, I recommend that you make sure you are connected to power and connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot when you perform the reset. Take care, and thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Braden

  • IPhone on tilt after installing iOS 5.0.1

    Hi,
I just tried to install iOS 5.0.1 on my iPhone 4 and now its on tilt, meaning it wont do anything. When i started the update (after downloading it), there was some weird error message, saying the update was faulty. Now, the iPhone is just showing the "update bar" with the apple symbol on top of it. The bar itself is empty. No button wont react and when i attach it to my computer (Windows) iTunes starts, but doesn't do anything about it. I hope i described my issue properly. Feel free to ask.
Greets and really looking forward to your help

  • IPhone 5 died after installing iOS 8. Is Apple store responsible?

We installed iOS 8.0 on iPhone 5, 16 gig. The second time we tried to charge it, the phone started flashing between the low battery screen and the Apple screen. Never got it going, tried the reset and all.
Brought it to the Apple store and they told us the hardware was done. The phone died. Of course, 1 year and 3 months after buying so not on warranty.
The technician said that I was missing the 2 screws at the bottom and that inside a screw was loose. I was not even aware. I told them I had the screen replaced by them the previous year which they saw in my file. They started questioning me about bringing the phone elsewhere which I didn't. They then told me, that they were sorry that couldn't do nothing for me, except selling me a new phone. Wow!!!!! So I am now paying a phone through my cell services that is not working!
My question to people out there, is it possible that the loose screw inside the phone caused damages to the hardware? Apple is not responding to me!
    Thank you

Could be.  But if Apple has stated that unauthorized maintenance has been done to the device, then that's the final answer.  Unless that store manager overturns that decision, you'll need to purchase another device.

See the chart below to determine whether you can upgrade your device and what you can upgrade to. If you do not have a Software Update option present on your iDevice, then you are trying to upgrade to iOS 5 or higher. You will have to connect your device to your computer and open iTunes in order to upgrade.

I'm trying to install a profile in my iPhone from a website that is used to promote apps, I had an iPhone and it had worked but after dropping this iPhone and breaking it, I found myself looking to find a new iPhone, now the profile won't install, I have an iPhone 5, the profiles in the setting and it won't install

Until you get a UK bank account and credit card, buy and redeem UK iTunes gift cards for use in the iTunes and Mac App Stores. But you need to switch your region/country to the UK store in your account information, as you can't use UK iTunes gift cards in the Irish stores, the gift cards are country specific.

  • My iPhone 4 will not install iOS 5.1.1

I have tried numerous times since the update was available and it always says "Unable to Install Update. An error occured installing iOS 5.1.1" I am connected to the internet, so do not understand the problem.
I have also tried downloading the update from my laptop but it will not let me do so through that either.

I had this problem with an iOS update once. It would download most of the way (thus eating up my quota), then bug out before the end.
Suggestions at the time ranged from trying another day (in case the update servers were overloaded) to asking my nearest Apple Store to download and install the update for me.
My nearest Apple Store was 250km away, but yours might be closer. Or the download might work better on another day.
    Good luck. :)

  • Some contacts missing on both iPhone and Outlook since installing iOS 7.1

I have an iPhone 5S which I successfully sync to Outlook 2007 using iCloud, until recently when I upgraded to iOS 7.1. Most contacts are still there on both my PC and iPhone, but as luck would have it, the ones missing are mostly the important ones for my business. I have tried turning OFF and then ON the settings in both iCloud on my PC and also on my iPhone - as I have often seen suggested for this type of problem - but without any success. I have frequently backed-up but they do not appear anywhere and, strangely, they are random from within the contacts list. Can anyone please advise a method of possibly restoring them? Thanks in advance.

Try installing Microsoft Word for iPad and using that instead. It is free to use as a reader and if you want to use with all its editing capabilities, you can pay the Office365 license.
