Photostream in the cloud only keeps photos from the last 30 days (subject to a 1,000 photo limit). When photostream syncs the photos to your device they will stay there until deleted, which means you may well have more photos in your photostream album on your device than there are in photostream in the cloud.
The consequence of this is that if you turn photostream off and on again on your device (or enable it for the first time), it will only be populated with photos from the last 30 days, which may not be all the photos that were previously in the photostream album on that device.

Don't rely on iCloud to back up your pictures. It's designed to sync them to your devices, not back them up. Photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, allowing your devices enough time to download them. But if you ever lose your device, or have to replace it, any photos older than 30 days will no longer be in iCloud to download.
To keep your photos, import them to your computer using your usb cable while they are still in your camera roll, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. After importing them, you will be given an option to delete them from your device.

You can't view your back up files at icloud.com.
You can't view your camera roll and you can't view your Photo Stream files at icloud.com.
The icloud back up plan allows you to "restore" your iOS device from the files you backed up at icloud.com.

iMessages are backed up in the normal backup of your phone so it will be restored when you restore the backup.

The Storage space its referring to is on iCloud. How much iCloud space is left, and how much space is your iPhone using?
iCloud storage space and the iPhone's physical storage space are 2 different things.

The vast majority of zone 2's on home theatre systems don't support digital audio.

Now updated my iphone4 to latest ios5, got my apps back but lost all of my itunes music!

The iPhone BY DESIGN will only synch to ONE iTunes library at a time. If you attempt to synch to a new computer, it will wipe all the iTunes data off your phone and replace it with what is currently on the new computer. There is no way around this.
If you don't want to lose music, videos, etc., then you need to copy your old iTunes library to your NEW computer before synching the iPhone to the new computer.

I can't find my pictures!! I have windows vista, & all my photo's are in Photo solutions & essential

I have a HP computer & Printer, and am using Windows Vista. Also I'm using a Photosmart 5280 printer. My problem is I have not been able to access Photo Solutions to transfer my pictures from my photo card to my computer, & I can't get into Photo Essentials to resize & print. I can't find my photo's!! I know HP has updated to Photo Creations but I don't need nor want it. I am comfortable with want I had and was able to do what I needed to do with it!! I have been trying on my own to fix this issue since early June and reached my limit with this!!!!! Honestly I am ready to purchase a different brand Printer if needed! I have uninstalled, reinstalled more times than I can count! Is there someone who could please help me!!! I have projects to finish! HELP!!

Currently if the site is published directly from iWeb to the 3rd party server the RSS feed and slideshow subscription features will work. However, if the site is first published to a folder on the hard drive and then uploaded to the sever with a 3rd party FTP client those two features will be broken.   All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.   There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.
   However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. That link is no longer available. Use "Migration Assistant" to copy your Applications from your old mac to the new Mac, then immediately run software update. Aperture Version 3.2 will not run on your new mac with Mavericks, you will have to Upgrade to version 3.4.5 at least - you can download this update from the Support page: Aperture 3.4.5
Then launch Aperture and enter your registration key and try now too update from version 3.4.5 to 3.5 from the AppStore. The AppStore will change your Aperture registration to an AppStore version, so you will able to reinstall by downloading from the AppSTore in future.
If you want transfer only Aperture and no other applications, do it manually: You will have to copy not only the application but folders from the libraries as well:
/Applications/Aperture.app
/Library/Application Support/Aperture/
~/Library/Application Support/Aperture/

When I open Iphoto 11 I see the events and pictures but when I try to open them some photos gives me aTriangle and inside is a ( ! ) in side

That happens when iPhoto breaks the file path/link to the original image file. Try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - Run Option #4, Rebuild Database, followed by Option #1 if needed.

After sorting photos into albums, the albums disappeared on me. I dragged and dropped the photos and went back to check that they were in place before exiting the program. When I went back, the folder was there but no albums. Help!

Working on an IMac - with IPhoto v.9.6
This is my first experience with IPhoto... trying to move files from a PC over to a Mac.
I don't have a ton of photos but I created about 6 albums - standard albums - and dragged and dropped individual photos into each of the albums. I named each of the albums as well so I would know what was in each. After i was finished, I created a folder called 2014 and moved each of the albums into that folder. Before moving ANY of the albums, I opened each of them up to make sure that all the photos I wanted in each were indeed there - and since there were some errors on my part, I deleted any duplicates first. SO, I KNOW the photos were actually in each of the albums BEFORE i moved them into the 2014 folder.
My intention was to then delete the photo files in my document file but once I got there I thought I would go back and double check the IPhoto file just to make sure... and the pictures were NOT in the albums where I had placed them... is there a need to save this before you move on and if so, to where and how? I was under the impression that once files were moved to albums, they remain there.
The photos are still in the photo library but unsorted now again... I cannot even open the 2014 folder at this point.

Was back on IPhoto this morning. The folder did not open at all so I deleted it. Beside Albums, nothing showed at all. It was like I had done no work at all except to import my photo folder. Nothing was in my trash bin either.
I started again and created one album at a time. I dragged and dropped photos into the album and exited out of IPhoto, opened up other programs and then returned to IPhoto to see if the album was still there and it was this time. I created a second album and did the same thing. This time, for some reason, the albums seem to be staying in place. I am not doing anything differently than last time. After creating three albums, I created a folder called 2014 and dragged and dropped the three albums into the folder and exited IPhoto. They were still there when I returned - YEAH! It seems to be working - for now! I am keeping my fingers crossed that my photos are not going to disappear but I am not going to delete my photo folder from my files just in case!
Thanks for the suggestions but this may just have been a funny glitch... not sure what happened. I didn't change anything or do anything differently this time except that I am doing it one album at a time and exiting the program between creating each of them and coming back to check... very strange.

Available internal storage zero after problem happened with iCloud shared photo stream

after I tired to upload large amount of photos to iCloud shared photo stream(2gb), which is larger than the available internal storage (only 300 mb left ). and then my iPhone stop me from uploading , said that my phone got no sufficient storage available . so, I cancel the upload, but my available internal storage is still zero. I don't know what to do, and I delete the whole (empty) album, which I targeted to upload photo to it. but even after I delete the album, my available internal storage is still zero. it suppose to return my free space(return to 300mb of free space). can any one help me with this ??
i tried to delete apps to free up the space. i tried to delete a few apps and I manage to get back 200 my of free space but after a short while, the available free space go back to zero again...d my phone to be zero available internal storage.
