My ipod touch 4th gen dosen't work with my intempo speakers!

I got my speakers when that old square ipod nano came out. My speakers worked fine with that ipod. i just got a new ipod touch 4th gen and when i put it on my speakers it says "charging is not supported with this device" and when i play music it just plays through the built in speaker not the speakers its pluggen into
HOW DO I GET IT TO PLAY THROUGH MY SPEAKERS ITS SOOOO FRUSTRATING!!!!!

Some older accessories are not supported by the latest iPOd and some older ones with the latest iOS.  Have you checked the manufacturer's website?

  • My ipod touch 4th gen won't pair with bluetooth audio receiver?

My ipod touch 4th gen won't pair with my aluratech istream universal bluetooth audio receiver.  It automatically paired the first time I used it, but now will not pair.  I removed the bluetooth receiver from the ipod because it kept saying make sure the receiver device is on and within range.  Now it doesn't even detect the bluetooth receiver.  Any ideas?

Thank you!  We got the bluetooth receiver to use with our car stereo and our motorcycle stereo and were very frustrated when it quit working.  Thank you for helping me solve the problem!

  • My ipod touch (4th gen) won't sync with itunes, OSX

My 8gb ipod touch (4th gen) won't sync with itunes. Running itunes 11.4 on OSX 10.6.8
My touch was running fine until one day I found about 3gb occupied by 'other' space. I ended up restoring my ipod which took care of the problem, but created a new one in that the ipod will no longer sync anything from my itunes library. I have music set up to sync selected artists, and when I click the checkboxes to select my albums and artists to sync, the 'audio' bar fills up.
When I click 'apply', the 'starting sync' and progress bar pop up for like half a second then disappear. Same goes with photos, apps, podcasts, etc.

Verify that you have the right boxes checked to sync?

  • IPod Touch 5th gen no longer working with Mini stereo...

I have an 'entertainment pack' in my Mini that allows me to connect my iPod Touch 5th gen to the car stereo (via USB & aux in cables) to both listen to it and scroll through my music through the stereo interface. I have had a few problems before with it not connecting but these usually resolved themselves within a day or so and I think were more to do with my lightning to 30 pin adapter than my actual iPod. However, since I installed the latest ios7 update a couple of days ago I cannot get it to work at all and keep getting a message saying 'this accessory is not supported' when I plug the iPod into my car. Any suggestions on how I can resolve this?

    - Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Ipod Touch 4th Gen will not sync with Itunes 11.1

I upgraded my Itunes to the latest version, now I can't get Ipod touches to sync that are 4th gen. Any help?

I FINALLY got it to sync. I had to unplug and restart my computer 3x's then it worked and went like a charm. It was getting to step 2 of 5 in the sync then just freezing. I let it run for 15+ hours the first day.
I do have to ask though since I have a knowledgable person:
My son's Ipod touch broke so I bought a refurbished one. How can I change the ID on Itunes or his touch to reflect his Ipod?

  • IPod Touch (2nd gen) - Does not work with Component AV Cable

I have a 2nd generation iPod Touch. Today I bought the component AV cable at the Apple store (along with a universal dock). Connected it correctly to the TV and:
    1. No picture (screen is blue, as though nothing connected); no sound (whether video or music)
    2. Whatever video is playing on the actual iPod gets stuck - as though it is on "pause", with the difference that you can push "play" and "pause" and the only thing that does is change the "play" or "pause" icon from one to the other or vice-versa--video will not actually play
    3. Setting Widescreen to "on" or "off" has no effect
    4. Tried connecting it to an old iPod Nano (2nd gen I think) - also no sound.
    Please advise!

Try changeing your TV out setting, found in the (Settings) of your ipod. Following Paragraph found in the iPod User manual (Page 98): http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipodtouch
"Use these settings to set up how iPod touch plays videos on your TV. For more
information about using iPod touch to play videos on your TV, see “Watching Videos
on a TV” on page 39.
Turn widescreen on or off: Choose Video and turn Widescreen on or off.
Set TV signal to NTSC or PAL: Choose Video > TV Signal and select NTSC or PAL.
NTSC and PAL are TV broadcast standards. iPod touch displays NTSC 480p/PAL 576p
when attached to a TV using a component cable, or NTSC 480i/PAL 576i using a
composite cable. Your TV might use either of these, depending on where you bought
it. If you’re not sure which to use, check the documentation that came with your TV. "
    Hope that helps,
    Weston

Can you describe your problem further? Are you getting any error messages in iTunes? Just appearing to sync as normal?

  • IPod touch 2nd gen. won't work with old accessories

I just had to buy a new 2nd generation iPod touch because the last one broke. I was mad to find out that my FM tuner and my ihome wasn't supported by the new iPod. Is there any way I won't have to buy all new accessories?

Did you previously have a 2nd generation Touch? On this new Touch, did you install the 3.0 update?

  • The sleep and home button on my iPod touch 4th gen have stopped working.

Its been past a year since ive had it but i bought warranty from walmart and I was wondering if walmart would fix it? or should i go to the apple store and ask them?

If you have a Walmart warranty and did not purhase the extended AppleCare warranty fvia Walmart, then go back to Walmart.
If AppleCare, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
    - If out of warranty, yu can also go to the Apple store. It is free for Apple to look at it.
Have you tried restoring your iPod? Maybe you just have a software problem?

Manually selecting which music I want
Deleting all the music and trying to put it back
    Nothing...

  • HI my ipod touch 4th gen wont start sync with itunes.

Itunes recognises the ipod but keeps saying sync session failed to start. It starts off as though it is going to sync by saying step 1of 8 but times out after a few minutes without syncing very frustrating. Any ideas would be welcome. I have restored the ipod and re-installed Itunes

If it stops while trying to backup (step 1 or 2) , try to delete the latest backup in iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices. If iTunes can't read the backup, it can't replace it and start the sync process.
Check this article about the location of the backup folder, you might want to back it up before you delete the backup. iTunes: About iOS backups

  • ITunes updated and no longer syncs with iPod Touch 4th gen

On January 26, 2014, I updated my iTunes software.  After doing so, my iPod Touch 4th gen no longer syncs with or is recognized by iTunes.  Reinstalling iTunes has not worked.  I suspect that this is a problem created by the iTunes update.

  • IPod touch(4th gen) no longer supports accessories?

    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/create/extension/
My iPod touch (4th gen) suddenly stopped supporting my Altec Lansing speakers, my iHome and my Onkyo dock.  I have updated to the latest version of iTunes, reset my iPod, wiped and restored my iPod (running iOS 6.1.6), turned my iPod off and on, unplugged and plugged back in all of the accessories...all to no avail.  The iPod will charge on all of the docks, so they recognize it, but the iPod says "This Accessory is Not Supported by iPod touch".  Last week it all worked fine.

    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Reset the accessories

When try to connect my iPod touch 4th gen to my house Wifi it won't connect, it used to work fine but now it dosen't work, but it does say that the internet is available, but when I tap on it it just loads. all other devices work fine.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router
